ProxyServer registry settings

Hi, I had problems with a slow connection to websites.  I managed to fix it by unchecking "Enable Proxy" by setting these files using regedit.

HKEY_CURRENT_USER/Software/Microsoft/Windows/Internet/ProxyEnable settings
HKEY_CURRENT_USER/Software/Microsoft/Windows/Internet/ProxySetter settings
However, the parameters keep returning.  They always go back to logon, and sometimes they come back by themselves.  I tried to delete the ProxyServer file but it keeps returning.  Clearly some script or application does.  How?
The problem started for a long time when I was infected by a virus.  I deleted the executable, but clearly something continues to be wrong.

OK, the scanner picked up a very bad Trojan horse called cycbot who lives in dwm.exe.  Now, it has been removed the problem seems to be recurring.  So thank you for this piece of useful information.  When I googled the problem apparently many other people suffer from this, so I hope that this forum is also useful for them.  (And possibly warns of danger of mucking around with the registry, too).

  • iTunes CD & DVD registry settings works only with 32-bit Windows Vista - Help!

Since the update to iTunes 9.0, everytime I open iTunes, I get the error message:

Caveat! The registry settings used by iTunes for importing and burning CD DVD drivers & lack. This can occur as a result of installing other CD burning software. Please reinstall iTunes. "Device filter entries exist to somehow change how a device works. If you encounter problems using CD, follow these steps to temporarily disable other third-party optical drive software entries.

It says that I have to reinstall iTunes.  I click OK and it goes to open iTunes.  Everything works normally except when I go to burn to a CD.  When I click on burn, he says: "disk not found... recorder. "and will not burn the discs.
I contacted Apple, and we tried to reinstall the CD/DVD from GEAR Software drivers.  I also tried to uninstall and reinstall iTunes.

Apple technology gave me a link to try with instructions for fixing Windows registry info.  I followed that, thanks to step 10, but can go no further because I can not find the buttons, they are askking me to click.  The link he gave me is:

    Help?

    Hi Behnke

What other burning software CD do you have on the system? I suggest you to remove for this test. And install it again after the test.

Try these methods step by step to help resolve your problem:

Step 1: Uninstall iTunes completely with Windows Installer Cleanup Utility.

Download windows install Cleanup utility and clean all traces of Itunes on your system. Remember that Windows Installer CleanUp Utility does not remove the actual program from your computer. However, it will remove the installation files so that you can start the installation, upgrade, or uninstall on. Download here.

    1. Save the Windows Installer Cleanup Utility package on your computer

    2. right click on the Windows Installer Cleanup Utility and run as administrator

    3. follow you prompt in the installation wizard.

    4. Once completed the installation, click on the Start button.

    5. click on all programs. Click on Windows Installer CleanUp.

    6. click on iTunes (if active list). Click on Remove. Click on OK. Click exit

Step 2: uninstall and reinstall Itunes.

NOTE: Using third-party software, including hardware drivers can cause serious problems that may prevent your computer from starting properly. Microsoft cannot guarantee that problems resulting from the use of third-party software can be solved. Software using third party is at your own risk.

Step 3: Configure iTunes as the default player on your system.

Step 4: Solve the problem of CD/DVD

To resolve this issue automatically, click the fix this problem link. Click run in the file download dialog box, and then follow the steps in this wizard.

  • Error: the registry settings used by the iTunes for importing and burning CDs and DVDs are missing.

Original title: the registry settings used by the iTunes for importing and burning CDs and DVDs are missing. This can occur as a result of installing other CD burning software. reinstall iTunes

I've loaded and discharged Itunes 5 times and still get the same error message box. This error does exactly what he says, I can not burn anything in my itunes library. ITunes worked great in XP-3 no problems. It will not work on Windows 7-64.  I can download and play songs from any site, but can not burn anything.  And I don't have any other burning software on my CD PC

    Hello PohlCat,

Given that you have uninstalled and reinstalled iTunes without correcting the problem, it may be with a 3rd party product causes a problem.

I would look at the post here to see if this solution can help you. It's from a 3rd third party site, you should use at your own risk, because it has not been tested, but seemed to help others with the same error that you are experiencing.

Please reply back and let us know if this can help.

Windows 7 pro 64 hangs up on the installer is updated to display registry settings.  It will sit there for hours and doing nothing. Hard drive seems to click from time to time.  New drive in a new i7 system.

If the problem persists, try to start safe mode, start your PC, just before the system loads the Windows operating system. Press the [F8] key function 8 on your keyboard which will launch the menu Advanced Boot Options. Select Safe Mode.

Log, click Start, type Device Manager, press ENTER.

    Expand graphics cards

Right-click your video card, click on uninstall.

    Restart your system

Log, click Start, type Device Manager, press ENTER.

    Expand graphics cards
    Right-click your video card

Driver update software; then click search automatically for updated driver.

Note: The drivers on the Windows Update site is directly provided by equipment manufacturers. Microsoft tests drivers in various environments prior to publication; However, we cannot guarantee that all the drivers work on all hardware platforms as there are too many different models, although their hardware IDS are the same as the standard version. In some cases, due to changes in the material by different manufacturers, updates of the driver can cause an error.

If this does not work on your question, I suggest you install the Vista driver in compatibility mode. Remove and rescan the device in the device, right click on the executable/installer file manager driver-> properties and select the Compatibility tab. Click on the box to check run this program in compatibility mode for option and select Windows Vista from the drop-down list. then try to install the device driver using run as administrator.

  • Upgrade to Windows 7 Ultimate and highway 2010 receives the error: "your registry settings for this application no were not copied correctly."

I updated from XP Pro to Win7 Ultimate.

When I try to install Highway 2010 (that I had before) I get the following message

"Your registry settings for this application were not copied correctly. To correct these settings, run the installation of this application from the location where you originally installed it. »

I tried the suggestions without success. So what do I do to fix this?

I have found since that when I uninstall several files are missing, 41ce1.rbf & 41d81.rbf are later. It seems that highway will not properly work without their files (I guess here).

So where they are or how can I get the.

I get the same problems when I try to install Highway 2011 test, I don't buy the full program so the custom of trial run.

    Chris Townsend

Now, I know the .rbf files are files of Roll-back.

    Hello Lrchr,

Your question would be better addressed in the highway, streets and trips and MapPoint.

  • When I try to open the 2010 Highway, I get this error: "your registry settings for this application no were not copied correctly."

I am running Windows 7 Home Premium and use Microsoft Autoroute 2010. This used to open and run without any problem but now I get the message "your registry settings for this application were not copied correctly.  To correct these settings, restart the installation of this application where you originally installed it.  I did several times since the original disc without success.  I also did my best to remove all files of previous Highway before recharging.  Any help or suggestions please?

    original title: Highway 2010

"Do right click used to contain run them as administrator but does not give the option now."

The above is a bit worrying, does that apply to just highway or all the .exe?

If you press the SHIFT key while you right click, if you see?

Anyway have you tried to test with another Windows user to see if your profile is corrupt?

  • Registry settings do not seem to work in Reader 10.0.10

I've got 10.0.10 installed in several places, and although I checked on some systems that the corresponding options have been properly set and disabled in the user interface - almost none of the systems I checked have the corresponding user interface elements allowed to test and do not match the registry settings.

    • bDisableJavaScript
    • bEnhancedSecurityInBrowser
    • bEnhancedSecurityStandalone
    • bProtectedMode
    • iFileAttachmentPerms
    • iProtectedView

Every system I checked has these together with the correct values and the correct registry location, but the corresponding user interface options are not disabled and are not set correctly. What in the world is happening? What could stop this work even if the registry values are there and the data for these values are not?

Quite why it did not work now: when cleaning up the non-compliance, config mgr 2012 r2 made these REG_QWORD instead of REG_DWORD. I replaced manually the DWORD COUNT, with a system that was not obedient and of course, after the re-opening drive he obeyed the settings that I redid and DWORD value. Is not a problem for Adobe.

  • I suddenly got the message "Can't find Pagemaker registry settings" on P65 I been using for months on my Windows 8.1

Why am I suddenly getting this message "Cannot find Pagemaker registry settings" on Pagemaker 6.5 I use on Windows 8.1 for months?

    @

Here's the answer in Adobe help pages, but as you will see, Windows8 is not mentioned.  Pm6.5 must hit at age 15, that is old and obsolete.

Error "Cannot find the registry settings..." during startup (PageMaker 6, 5-7.x on Windows)

Ideally, you need to run PM WinXP or Win2K PC.  These are the pot with Win8 luck, as you have discovered.
