  Hello!

  I've been using 8 element for several years now and I'm very happy with it. It's good enough for the kind of work that I do with my photos. I shoot RAW exclusively with my Nikon a D80 and a D300s. The Camera Raw plugin included in item 8 it is Camera Raw 5.5.0.97 just works very well with the format of Nikon NEF.

  As my photographic skills are improving, I decided to go full size to images and I've recently invested in a camera Nikon D3s of second hand. A lot of money for me anyway...! Here again I wanted to shoot NEF and I went out on weekends last for a few shots of wild life. When I came home then and began to import my new D3s RAW photos directly to the organizer of the item 8 (as I do with other Nikon cameras), to my great disappointment the operation proved to be unsuccessful and while the photos could be stored on my computer hard disk it was impossible to import them into the Organizer!

  Whenever I received the following message: "!" Nothing has been imported. Files or folders selected to import did not contain not all types of supported files, or the files are already in this catalogue. " Reason: the files are damaged or are in a format that cannot be included in the Organizer".

  In fact, the files are not already in the catalog and I don't see why all of my 200 pictures would be damaged when I use only cards of memory recommended by Nikon! It seems quite strange that I can import my D300s and not my D3s RAW images. Both are Nikon NEF and I believe that both models have been released roughly the same year (2009), were they not?

  The fact is that I can't still work with my photos of my D3s now and it is very annoying, because some people are waiting for these photos.

  I would me more grateful if I could get some help on this issue.

  You can update PSE 8 to ACR 6.2; If your NAVE D3s files are certainly supported.

  Launch the Editor (complete edition) and in the menu, click:

  Help > updates

  If ACR 6.2 is shown as being available, just choose it and then install the plug-in.

  Keep all the files on external hard drive image?  Nothing else and no pictures on the desktop?

  Keep all image files both places?

  What is the best way to go through thousands of images in the Organizer to identify and place them in files?

  Once I've placed a file, I just leave it in the entire catalog or a way indicate to me that it has been sorted?

  Independent of how this feature works, you want to have your photos in one place and have a backup (second copy) somewhere else. All hard drives will not be successful at some point - some more early, some late - never trust to have your files in any safety devices if they are on a single disc. Once you have your sorted, it would be useful that you will organize/name/tag new photos immediately if the task is relatively short and simple. I copy my photos on my internal hard drive for my camera, take a quick look with preview to see who needs some changes and then decide where to put them - either drop them immediately after naming them or bring in an editing application and then file them away.

  I understand that you have a DVD picture in your SuperDrive drive, but it is not mount on the desktop and will not eject.

  Please, try the procedure described in this article using the disc is ejected.

  Get help with the SuperDrive slot on your Mac - Apple Support loading

  Do not eject discs or discs eject slowly

  You should probably just download the demo version of the EP 12 and see if you can live with it.
