PSE getting hung up on the opening screen?

My PSE 8.0 begins to open, but gets hung up on the "building of the TWAIN menu items" is part of the blue screen. I did a force close and restarted my computer. No change. So I uninstalled and reinstalled the software, but it will not always clear the checkpoint!

I'm on date limit & start a minor freak out...!

If you do not use a scanner; change the file name Twain can help.

  • Way to much Drake on the opening screen

    Trying to force an artist on me will NOT make me want to buy one of their music. When I open itunes and go to the store, all I see is drake, it is on the top of the page windows, median and some lines further down. What is the problem with itunes, there are literally thousands artists out there and apple guard stick this monster in my face. Since the option is there to change the style of music so why not people 'you know customers why pay wages' decide what style of music opens on the home on our own monitors window in itunes. No matter how much rap you try to push down my throat, he won't want to buy me. I am an adult and as such I can choose what I listen to music. I don't mind a few suggestions after all but drake with 3 columns on the open screen is just average at a lot. How about it Apple why don't we customers define the style of music we like on our screens. I feel bad to the sometimes easy shopping in itunes with Apple trying to set up musical styles that I don't like home all the time. Don't forget Apple not all your customers are in their 20s, many of us are 40 and above, then how about you give us adults some options. Doing so itunes remember my musical style when I open itunes store, let us customize a bit. Over the years, I've seen Apple remove customer options so that it would be nice to give us one or two back. If this isn't the case, then please leave cramming a unique artist on the screen all the crap ranks.

    Display something on the home screen is not exactly "cramming."  However, you are welcome to shop at other stores online if you prefer, such as Amazon or Google digital music playing.

  • Keeps restarting to the opening screen of Toshiba Satellite L300

    My satellite L300 starts with the Toshiba screen and keeps leaving regularly until I see the blue panel of Windows saying please wait... After that the screen goes black, and it shows the opening screen of Toshiba. I tried to go into the system by pressing F2 or F12 but I'm a technical noob and it's way to complicated for me.

    According to my sister she has something to do with a faulty download and I need to insert some kind of code in one of the systems (F2 or F12).

    Anyone who is familiar with this problem and maybe someone can explain to me how do I solve this problem?

    Thank you!

    To start the laptop in safe mode, try to please.
    When you turn it on, press F8 to display the advanced startup options. You will find the option of safe mode.

    Wait for windows to load. I hope that you will be able to do.

    What you can try then is to roll back OS to an earlier time using System Restore option.

    Please test and send feedback.

  • E260 will not go past the opening screen

    I got my 260 E for about a year and later that yesterday I went to turn it on, but it remains on the logon screen. Enter mode 'sleep', but I can't listen to music or find out anything because it will not go beyond the opening screen. The second of 10-15 soft reset I tried a hundred times, but it does not work.

    If remove/insert the battery did not work, the next step would be to format the drive.  You can also try to update the firmware.  I hope that you have a model v1.  What does say on the back of the drive?  Do you see a blue Sansa logo on the splash screen?  If so, you have a model v2 with no recovery mode.

    Assuming you have a v1 with the recovery mode:

    1. Turn off the player.
    2. Slide the key lock (to headphone jack).
    3. Press and hold the RECORD when connecting to the PC.
    4. Output RECORD when the "Welcome to recovery mode" message on the LCD s drive.
    5. Open my computer/Windows explore and see if you can find a new "16 MB - FORMAT" labeled removable flash drive
    6. Right-click on 16 MB-FORMAT and select new folder.
    7. Name the new folder "sansa.fmt" (without the quotes).
    8. Use the remove safely icon in the system tray.
    9. HOLD reset in the unlocked position.
    10. Disconnect the player from the PC.

    The player must, by seeing the folder sansa.fmt in the root directory of the drive, proceed to format itself.  Pay attention to any error/success message see you.  If all goes well, it will tell the full format and then to restart.

    DO NOT TRY TO FORMAT THE VOLUME 16 MB-FORMAT!

    If the format does not work, the next step is to try to update the firmware.  Go to the correct sticky message and download the firmware for your region .24A (assuming that he is a player of v1).  Drag and drop the embedded .mi4 and ROM files of archive of the firmware in the root directory of the 16 MB-FORMAT drive.  Make sure that the files end up in the root directory and not in a subdirectory.  Unplug and restart the player as before.

  • Whenever I start my computer, I get the blue screen of death. I'm not getting in what concerns the opening of session and there is no prompt to start in safe mode. Whenever I start my computer the error code and message on blue screen are different.

    I have Windows Vista Home Premium. I was on the internet when my computer screen turned blue and a message told me that a problem has been detected and Windows has been shut down. He said that I had tried to do something with memory executable not executable (I don't have a note of the code). He said as he poured out memory. Now, whenever I start, the blue screen of death gives me different messages and different error codes. Today, he says:

    IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL

    and codes of error STOP: 0x0000000A (0x0000001B, 0 x 00000600, 0x810A90B0, 0x00000001).

    PC World say that they need to reinstall Windows, but I have some really really important files on there that I have not supported (I know, really stupid on my part) and they said they cannot guarantee their recovery. Is there another way to fix it?

    I've been on the forums and suggestions involve me to be able to connect to my computer. Blue screen hits me before I can log on, and there is no prompt to start in safe mode.

    Thank you very much!

    Try this to save your data:

    Data recovery:

    1. slave of your hard drive in another computer and read/save your data out there.

    2. put your Hard drive in a USB hard drive case, plug it into another computer and read/save from there.

    3 Alternatively, use Knoppix Live CD to recover data:

    http://www.Knopper.NET/Knoppix/index-en.html

    Download/save the file Knoppix Live CD ISO above.

    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    http://isorecorder.alexfeinman.com/isorecorder.htm
    Download the Vista software from the link above.
    After installing above ISO burning software, right click on the Knoppix ISO file > copy the Image to a CD.
    Knoppix is not installed on your PC; use only the resources of your PC, RAM, graphics etc.
    Change the boot order in YOUR computer/laptop to the CD/DVD Drive 1 in the boot order.
    Plug a Flash Drive/Memory Stick, BOOT with the Live CD, and you should be able to read the hard drive.
    When the desktop loads, you will see at least two drive hard icons on the desktop (one for your hard drive) and one for the USB key.
    Click on the icons of hard drive to open and to understand which drive is which.
    Click the icon for the USB drive and click on "Actions > Change the read/write mode" so you can write to disk (it is read-only by default for security reasons).
    Now to find the files you want to back up, just drag and drop them on the USB. When you're done, shut down the system and remove the USB key.
    See you soon.
  • Windows xp hung up on the loading screen
    I have a gateway LT2016U and windows is suspended upward at the loading screen. the status bar continues to go, but the light of the hard drive on the computer is turned off. When I go to the safe made it stops at the line multi (0) disk (0) rdisk (0) partition (2) \windows\system32\drivers\amdagp.sys to safe mode startup. When I try and make a last known good config is located just at the windows loading screen.
    you could also try mode safe mode with command prompt and see if you get anywhere with the machine.
    If nothing, i.e. None of these boot menu options work, then you should borrow a cd from someone win xp so that you can start with it and start the recovery console.
    I do not have a netbook, but its likely your bios can support USB boot.  in this case, you need a usb cd drive in order to use the above method.
    If using the cd xp is not possible, then your only recourse is to go on the net House books site and see if there are tips that you can use.   but I guess the only option they will bring must provide the step on performing a factory restore, that will wipe the drive and reinstall the original software.
    the original software is the will is in a hidden partition which is inactive on the hard drive.  then using a certain key sequence, the hidden partition will be re-activated and start restoring.
    but send an email to their tech support and see what they say too.
