  Hi there I do retusch on digitized images and when I move the tool between the dust spots cloning it changes the image slightly. Just noticed and got a wedge after working for several days.

  It is possible that your Source region is quite different from the target area that the Clone tool is not the most effective use.

  Another reason is that you have put a sample of Clone of hard edge.

  I suggest you use the Spot Healing Brush tool to remove dust spots and see if that solves the problem.

  I'm having the darndest problem I have never met before. I use the cloning tool in CS5 and I'm trying to clone stamp a portion of the photo and clone in another part of the picture. The problem is that after I option click on and then drag it to the part I need, dark spots appear in the place? What's not here? Here is an example. Thank you.

  We can't quite see in your image, but you have the blending mode for the tool clone set to difference maybe?  Otherwise go to leave the top drop-down list in the Options bar and see if you have presets for this tool and reset.  If none of this helps, the time to reset the preferences file (Shift Cmd opt as you open Photoshop)

• Illustrator CS5.1 on low tools/cross cursor gray Mavericks

  I hope that someone will advise/help me on the 3rd time to ask questions on the tools palette.

  I use Illustrator CS5.1 on an iMac, I work on 10.9 Mavericks and now the cursor to cross / / tools have almost dissappeared to a tinted gray /faint, will I have to wait for a fix from Adobe or Apple or is it something in the preferences I can click to solve make?

  I already reported this "Bug" via the Adobe website.

  Any help would be appreciated, otherwise I have to continue to press my nose against the screen and squint my eyes to see where I paint and design, it's not a pretty sight.

• Crazy CS5 cloning tool

  Long time Photoshop user and don't have a clue what could cause this and not even sure if I can explain it. Same results on single background layer or a copy. As soon as I select the Clone Stamp tool all the photo becomes a ghost above itself layer and moves slightly to the left. It looks like two layers with the transparent top layer. But it's not. When I select a zone to clone, the layer of ghost attaches to the clone tool and moves wherever I move the tool. I can see the same image under this ghost image. The only way I can get to drop taken, is to drag the tool over the photo and take the tool move or tools simply change. I closed Photoshop, re-opened and the results are the same. All other tools are functioning normally. I don't see anything on the menu outside of the bar. Sure looks like a flaw in the software. Am I missing something?

  You must open your Clone Source Panel where these parameters are hidden, to get the ghostly behavior that you see you must have "show the overlay" checked and "Clipping" unchecked. " You will need to experiment with these settings. Or disable display picture in use the clone stamp, as it has always been.

  This weird behavior is the default for a reason when they first introduced the ability to see an overlay of the clone stamp. What Devil see the whole picture circulating as this is supposed to be useful for is anyones guess.

• Cursor missing at startup

  Currently running OS X El Capitan, and have noticed recently that from time to time at startup that my mouse cursor disappears completely – making it impossible to click on anything whatsoever

  in some rare cases, I have the same problem on the logon screen.

  Try to select your personal account with the arrow keys, and then click the back button.

  When I do that, finally on the desktop, the mouse cursor appears.

• Tools/Options is missing

  Running Firefox 3.6.10
  Suddenly the Tools menu contains only a few options and opens sometimes empty. I think I remember to click Options to set my tabs as current addresses. Obviously I can't do that now.
  The problem seems to have occurred after downloading a software that includes Google Chrome (which I didn't, by the way). I have removed from this software.
  I tried to restart the computer. I tried to reinstall Firefox on top of the existing.
  How can I find the Tools menu to how it was?
  If I delete the Firefox on my computer and do a clean install, I'll be able to keep all my favorites and settings tab?

  I removed the settings navigation (i.e. the text below) in the configuration file and the cursor appeared.

  I get an error message "HP TOOLS disk E runing sout of space... then click here to learn more in order to free up space.»  I click and the only thing listed is the the BACKSPACE BIN that is empty.  Following questions forum, I learned this is a common message on HP pavilions and can be resolved by disabling the the system restore on drive E.  I tried to follow the directions for other pavilions, but they do not work for mine.  Can anyone give me specific instructions on how to disable restoring the system on drive E?  I am running Windows 7, Version 6.1.7701, Service Pack 1.

  FREEMAN-HP                (These two issues are related to the backup Windows, that have been created here by mistake)
