PSINET botnet and excessive bounce rate

All my connected LAN and WLAN clients have recently experienced a growing bounce rates causing slow internet access. Investigations using traceroute shows that same local DNS (Norway) research takes me to Cogent Communications in Washington DC (?). This ISP is the property of PSINET and made one of the largest ISP's in the United States and known bot NSA of the host, spiders and caterpillars, with many of * sites. Anyone know how to get them on my back?

  • Botnet and Geo - IP filtering services

    Hi all

just installed a new Sonicwall SoHo and authorized service IPS.  According to Sonicwall Knowledgebase (SW13905), GEO - IP and Botnet filtering services are available on all products TZ Gen 6, as long that register you in the service of the IPS.

The status of license on the Soho page shows the botnet and the Geo - IP service licensed.  I don't see the options in the title of the security services.  I'm on the 5.9.1.6 latest firmware.

I'm doing something wrong, or is there a bug in the system?

    Thank you!

The SOHO is not part of the Gen 6 TZ line. It is an independent unit of its own and does not support these services.

    Thank you

  • logging of 5.5 and excessive use of vSphere

I installed Insight Log (version 1.5.0 - 1435442) several weeks ago and connected to vCenter.  At that point, we were running 5.5 and 5.1 U2 ESXi vCenter.  Log Insight picked up stuff from vCenter that I would begin to look at and seems to work fine.  I upgraded to vCenter 5.5 U1 and ESXi 5.5 U1 last Wednesday and the amount of data from this environment has increased exponentially.  The Insight Log device indicates that it is down to 500 million events per day.  I don't really know where to start by identifying what the problem is.  The vCenter and ESXi servers seem to work properly.  It seems to be an excessive amount of logging that occur.  The average ingestion rate is 2 847 per second and we have only 16 servers ESXi and vCenter, some pods of the UCS and vCOPS configured to send information to the Insight Journal.  From what I can tell, it is just something from vCOPS and UCS.

To solve the problem of the decline, you will need to increase the resources on the virtual appliance Insight Log. You will need at least 8 CPU, 16 GB of memory and 1000 IOPS / s to cope with this workload. A time solve you the problem of resources, go to the Interactive Analytics page and just below the graph, change the number of events in time to count events by host name. This will tell you what devices are generating the most events in your environment. I hope this helps!

  • Flash player and excessive popups

Yes, I suffered once flash player based ads tons of pop-up ads opening so I put the flash drive to ask for activation, solved my problem... BUT I managed to press on "Allow and remember" instead of just "now allows', so my question is, where do I find the list with sites that do not have to ask permission? As I am now plagued by excessive popups once more... I ran the malware and Antivirus scans, nor showed no sign of finding all of the files associated with the ads.

When Flash Player (or any other plugin) is running, there is an icon on the far left of the address bar that looks like a LEGO. Click on it and it will tell you what plug-ins are currently running on this specific site. From there, you can block the plug-in, now, allow or allow and remember.

  • Crazy auto app switching and icon bounce.

People, I don't know what is the cause, but it did not happen before El Capitan:

Whenever I work in Final Cut Pro X and switch to another application, even if it is busy doing something, the icon in the dock bounces continuously.  Even more annoying, however, is that the OS will switch the applications on its own as in a window in the Finder or Apple Mail.  It seems that FCP X wants attention and try to return himself becoming the focal point.  I'm not sure. While I try to go to yet another application, the operating system just puts apps on me.

    Any ideas?

    OS X 10.11.2

iMac, OS X El Capitan (10.11.2), null

    This one is weird.

I would suspect something in the operating system.

This ONLY happen when FCP X is running? What is he doing? There is a visible trend to this?

Two innocuous things to try: 1) safe boot mode (hold down the SHIFT key immediately after pressing the power button and until the Apple logo appears), then reboot normally again. (2) delete FCP x preferences (hold down the command and option keys when FCP X starting and confirm to remove preferences).

Note: 1) while in Safe Mode, your mac will be slower, and it can take a long time to start. It's normal. (2) after deletion of the preferences you need to locate and open the libraries you use maybe, but this isn't any delete or change your content well course, you will need to go to preferences and set them as you want.

  • HP Elitebook 8570p - Windows XP USB very slow and the transfer rate performance issues.

Hello. I was wondering if anyone else knows some performance issues with the HP Elitebook 8570p and Windows XP Pro - SP3.

I get a VERY slow start, general poor performance (waiting time when opening files and programs).

I asked to burn in tests that show that everything is good.

USB transfer rates are VERY slow (tried all ports of a Seagate FreeAgent USB drive, which works fine on other laptops etc.) for example a 30-minute transfer a 7gig single file of the USB HD on the desktop. Only 3 minutes to do the same on another laptop.

I think there are problems with the drivers, like Windows 7 works very well and does boot from a bootable USB.

USB transfer rate are also good when starting from a Windows boot environment.

I installed HP SoftPaq Download Manager, and all the drivers are up to date.

    Hello:

I think outside of the box here... Select the Intel (r) 7 Series Chipset Family SATA AHCI Controller instead.

If it does not, I raise the white flag.

  • 8 - Drag and Drop - Bounce Back answers that are out of sequence of Captivate

Sorry if it's addressed somewhere, but my search results find anything. I'm building a drag and drop in which objects should be waived in order in various targets. I can get an object of bounce if it fell in the wrong place, but I also want the object to bounce back if it broke down (in the wrong order). For example, if point 2 fell in the right place, but in the wrong order, it will be returned. But I can't find an option for that. Any ideas? Thank you!

I don't think there's a way to get there. Only drag sources that cannot be accepted by a drop target can be bounced. But with the sequence, the drag source must be accepted even if it is not in the correct order.

  • Getting the error «for input and output sample rate does not match...» »

I am trying to create an audio file, but when I click on the record button I get this error:

«The sampling rate of the audio output devices and audio don't match.» Audio cannot be recorded until this problem is corrected.

Use the appropriate operating system or control panel of audio device to adjust the sampling frequency of the output devices and audio entries to use the same settings. »

I have the preferences set to use operating system controls and it seems to work because when I change in the Win 7 Pro CP it adjusts at the hearing.

So I do not know which need to be addressed. I use the video card as the source and not the speakers thus mean the output must be la carte too?

    Please help, I'm confused.

    Thanks for your time!

Got an answer to a previous question asking how to record and thought, this could be useful for others.

    rothmannnyc,

It takes a Windows setting and a setting of the hearing.

You will need to go into your settings from Windows recording devices - if you see a speaker in the lower right of your screen, right-click on it and choose recording devices.  Find your audio input source, select Properties, go to advanced.  You should see a drop down menu with options for the quality and frequency of sampling, mono/stereo.  In general, you'll want to 44.1 kHz for audio; 48 Hz for the video.

At the hearing, go to Edition/Preferences/Audio Hardware and select the same frequency of sampling for output.  I went through the same question a few months ago, and it worked for me.  Good luck!

  • Hotmail addresses and Aol bounce my bulletins for this month

    Hello

This month, the latest bulletin, I sent declared hard bounces from some of my clients with hotmail.com and aol.com e-mail addresses.

The report said "bad destination system address (5.1.2. (système de mauvaise destination: aucun de ces domaines) ".

I m certain that these addresses are just as they received invoices and previous newsletters. In fact, one of them seems to have received the latest bulletin, despite the system which it claims hard bounce and automatically unsubscribe it.

Hope there is a way to solve this problem.

Thank you very much for your help.

    Hi guys,.

It seems that starting with 25 January we met a route DNS issue between us and the e-mail addresses hosted at Road Runner. Because of this all the campaigns sent their hard bounced.

We have manged to solve the problem of the road, but as you know perhaps based on our e-mail marketing improvements so hard email address bounces (which 99% of the ways time that does not exist on the Internet) we are placing in a "black list".

Which means that if someone tries to send emails from another site with the same email address we will be directly mark it as rebound hard without actually sending the email. The only way to remove a user from the black list is the double opt-in e-mail from the admin panel and the recipient must confirm the subscription.

Now hosted by Road Runner e-mail addresses, we have been able to fix some of them but we are still working on removing all able-bodied black list.

We expect that will be fixed by the end of the week.

As soon as I have more details here, I'll reply to this message.

    Thank you

  • Target and maximum bit rate...

Not finding much info on target and Maximum bitrate that is under video settings during export > Media.

At the highest quality, my camcorder records to about 24 Mbps.

I export to Youtube. I know that all of the settings to use.

I wonder if I should choose the bitrate at which it was recorded, for my target and maximum.

I am aware that higher the value, the larger the file is large.

    What are your thoughts?

On another note. My HD camcorder JVC GZ-HM300, manual stipulates that all class 4 or higher SDHC card will work.

I see some of the higher ranked cards higher bit rate transfer.

Do I need to get at least a transfer rate of 24 Mbit/sec SDHC to get all the benefits of the record of 24 Mbps bit depth.

Because I have got a standard 16GB class 4 Kodak SDHC for $20 Meijer's, here in Michigan (Meijer is pretty much just like Wal-Mart)

    http://www.Meijer.com/s/Kodak-16GB-class-2-SDHC-memory-card/_/R-187776

Said description class 2, but he of the symbol of class 4 and works with my camcorder.

    What are your thoughts?

A larger file or a less compressed file or a file with high throughput (those that are functionally equivalent) does not necessarily mean a more beautiful once downloaded video. In practice, a video that has the best eyesight will be better once YouTube through the ringer. My additions in 1080 p YouTube typically hover in the range of 10-12 Mbps, but they tend to be low movement videos, so they provide a compression well. If you have an animated video, it may be necessary to crank the bitrate up to what you keep most or at least more of the fidelity of the image. However, you will get to a point where you will just make an unnecessarily large file, with no perceptible difference as soon as YouTube do its dance on your video. I would guess that 25Mbps is unnecessarily high; the recommendation to use 15Mbps or thereabouts is probably sufficient. Test is the only way to know, as there are has no strict rules when it comes to video coding - and YouTube accepts all the accepted general practice and pouring them on their head.

Re: target and the maximum flow: these come into play when using coders who use encoding variable bit rate (VBR). Rate target - as its name suggests - is the rate you want the encoder to pull to and use as an average relative. Flow binary maximum - no points for guessing - is the largest flow you'll let the encoder use in segments (usually in divisions called GOP or groups of images) where there is movement or a visual complexity (very detailed models, or fog, for example). If the encoder were to run full tilt boogie, the maximum bit rate would determine the size of the file; It is roughly equivalent to the use of the CBR or constant bit rate encoding. However, because you have selected a target bit rate (in general, a minimum below the maximum bit rate), the encoder will try to maintain this bitrate or lower throughout the video. For example, my 1080 h.264 encode for YouTube usually have a maximum rate of 15Mbps all about, but I put the target at 10 Mbps or less. Using 2-pass VBR, and given the nature of the videos I encode more often, my files usually average around 6 Mbps. That's what I have to deal with each separate code as its own entity - you can apply some principles, but in practice, anything goes.

These Wikipedia articles could offer interesting ideas in different encoding, at least from a perspective of bitrate methods:

    Variable flow

    Constant flow

    Average throughput

  • Except repeating on Palm TX and excessive writing did not restore lost all calendar entries

I turned on my Palm TX today entered a new entry on the calendar... the Palm back on without apparent reason.

I went back to the calendar function and tried. This time, when one has chosen a NEW date and listed at once,

When I got home on the date he had NO entries in the calendar on my Palm TX except repeat entries.

I tried a soft reset... still no calendar entry at all, not any day, any time. I have a backup on my computer, and

you use hotsync only calendar to replace the value of the computer for Palm TX, I did a hot sync. Everything is always present on my

computer, but nothing has replaced on my Palm TX. Any quick suggestions? Seems to me that something is damaged

in the calendar function, but I don't know what to do.

    OK, thanks for the update.

Corruption problems may get involved instead. I thought that by fixing corruption, with DBFixit, TX and sync'ing and then with Pocket changes desktop should have corrected the problem. This procedure is usually solves the problem with corruption and sync'ing not categories PIM.

  • APEX_MAIL. SENDING and excessive zeal 1000 characters per line limit

    The Guide says:

"When you use APEX_MAIL. SEND, remember the following:
No line can be longer than 1000 characters. The SMTP/MIME specification requires that no line should be longer than 1000 characters. To meet this restriction, you must add a return carriage or newline characters to break your settings p_body or p_body_html in pieces of 1000 characters or less. Otherwise will result in erroneous e-mails, including partial messages or with foreign exclamation points. »

OK, fine, I remembered and watered from the value of the parameter p_body_html with the CRH (13), but APEX_MAIL. SEND still insists on automatically add a carriage return to about 1000 characters and it appears as a space at random in the html email. Looking at the raw email shows that the HRC (13) worked properly and the HTML is divided into lines.

Is it just how it is or is there perhaps some spells that would make APEX_MAIL to understand that the message is already linebroken?

Have you tried a CRLF, for example, Chr (13) | CHR (10)?

  • Role of the time and rate in the acquisition of buffer

    Hello

I'm trying an acquisition in the buffer.

In Schedule VI, when I specify the rate should be around 2000, I don't get an error message and data acquisition continues. Also I give a 1000ms time waiting until the next "millisecond" vi in the while loop.

But if I increase the rate to about 5000 and increase the number of milliseconds to 2000, then I get the following error message.

    -.vi:1 200279 DAQmx reading (analog 1-d 1Chan DBL NSamp)
    Property: RelativeTo
    Value: Current playback position

    Property: Offset

What is the importance of timing in the while loop and indicating the rates in Schedule VI?

How can I disable this for good? Whenever my monitor turns on, or did something. boredom is back in the corner for me.  Any help would be appreciated.

Here's what I discovered on my own, while the useless online from Acer support told me to return my monitor for the service because my OSD does not match his monitor 'similar ':

If you use the presets of game Mode, you must explicitly save the settings. The unnecessary manual says this, but it does not say how. On the same page of settings such as refresh rate display is an entry called Game Mode. If you select that and enter, you get a screen with options to save the settings for each of the presets Mode game individually. I did, and the refresh rate is no longer on.
