Publication of FLV of Captivate 4

We use EVP as our video player for videos in the membership site, squeeze pages, etc.  He won't play .swf files.  Is there an easy way to publish the Captivate project as .flv and .swf?

Rocky

You can export Captivate 4 in AVI format.  You can convert AVI to FLV using free software such as FFMPEG, own Adobe Media Encoder or others.  I'll be like FFMPEG, which can directly convert video H.264 (MPEG-4 Advanced Video Codec).

I couldn't find the answer to this, so I thought I'd post here. Publication in YouTube of Captivate the click through capability turns it off?

If you post on YouTube, you have created a video and a video (MP4) can never be interactive. The clicks you speak will be available only for interactive output: HTML or SWF.

  • Publish FLV with Captivate 7

    Hi all

Due to network constraints, we are not allowed to post videos mp4, and when we publish to PDF files are quite large and become resource hogs. In previous editions of Captivate we could publish on a FLV, but in 7 Captivate we can't find all the information on the question of whether or not this feature has been removed. Thanks for any information.

Reason probably is that FLV is sort of EOL, but have you tried to convert the MP4 to a FLV? You are aware that you lose any interactivity, because both formats are pure video?

  • Publication in HTML5 w / Captivate 9

My company currently publishes SWF projects, but this fall, we are moving to HTML5 publishing. I am doing some research on what has not supported in HTML5 and found a list of items to Adobe.com (for example, text and SWF animations, transitions between slides, bearings, etc.).

To test, I set up a quick module. It includes cartoons, buttons text animation (effect of typing), mouse animation, etc. HTML5 Tracker was told that rolling legends, flight path images and rollover slidelets weren't compatible HTML5. However, when I published to HTML5 and considered that it if IE11, almost everything worked, including all transfers. I'm confused, because everything I read points to the fact that the bearings will not work in HTML5, but they seemed to work for me. Am I missing something?

I want to emphasize that we are not publish responsive projects. Our whole target audience is using desktop computers and by displaying the modules in IE11. I was wondering if there is a bug in the tracker, or if his warnings apply only to projects of a reactive nature?

Transfers are not compatible with most mobile devices, is that the reason that the HTML tracker in condition for HTML output.

What does certainly not are animations of text and SWF animations. For animations of text appears only a static image. FLV video cannot be played in the HTML output, will be converted to MP4.  H264 (MP4) codec does not support transparent background, which is possible in FLV format. Some problems may occur with PPT-imported slides and FMR slides, but it's not always the case. Totally the effects that are classified as 'Other effects' in CP9 are not taken care of or. Another difference I know: in SWF output an interactive object covered by a non-interactive object remains active, which is not (always) the case in the HTML output.  Much also depends on the browser used, the HTML5 support is not the same by all browsers.

As long as you post mainly for laptop Desk/computer maintain the SWF when possible or publish to multiple screens. The user experience is much more in line with the output SWF. At least as browsers continue to integrate Flash Player. Right now the interactive PDF published by Captivate needs Flash player, as does the EXE format.

  • Publication of videos in Captivate

Hello! I am trying to publish in 6 Captivate SWF and HTML5, but my embedded videos don't play. I tried to use Movie Maker to convert a MP4 format and then imported the video in Captivate. I also tried to use Media Encoder to encode MP4 before import into Captivate but after I publish it, the video does not play, and it shows a 'connection error '. When I publish in EXE videos play. However, I need to publish to mobile devices. Nobody knows what the best way is to embed videos in Captivate? I can't use YouTube to host videos because it is confidential information of the company.

    Hello

You need to download the complete file you can get after the publication of your project.

Please make sure that the exact version of Captivate could be Cp 6.0.1.240 / 6.1.0.319 (see help > about Adobe Captivate)

If not then please download the exact version using the link below

  • How to prevent the quick return of FLVs in Captivate?

A coleague and I create a web site with e-Learning using Captivate 6. Each screen (slide) has a FLV playback. We want the FLV stop on the last frame of the movie. It maintains automatically rewinding, despite the box "not go back" in Captivate in OFF.

FLV files is of the standard metadata (length, width, etc.).

How can we prevent automatic rewind?

When we publish to HTML5, movies stop correctly on the last image.

    Any notice received with gratitude.

    Hello

In order to have a control bar on the video of several slides, you can have a widget playback of the slide bar. There are number of widgets available playback bar. There is a widget bar to reading in 6 Captivate as well.

Go to window > Widget and the appearance of window widget for PlayBar.swf. You can use this reading to achieve your goal.

    I hope this helps!

  • HTML (file .oam) video does not work on mobile devices when publication of draft 9 Captivate

    Hello

I have created a project of 9 Captivate and publish HTML5 so that it works on mobile devices. I would like to include a short video on one of my slides, so I imported a file .oam (that I exported to animate CC) in my Captivate project. I thought given that the video was an animation HTML that it would go very well on mobile devices, however when I run the project on an iPad a box indicating I have need flash player appears where the video should play. I thought the very idea of HTML that it can run without flash player, so run on mobile devices? Am I missing something obvious?

    Thank you!

I think I only know why this process was not working for me. Although the file was published as a file .oam and built in CC host the file type I was exporting to was a .swf file and not a file HTML canvas. I have since built in CC animations animate HTML canvas files and they work very well in 9 Captivate.

  • Publication of HTML5 in Captivate 7.0.1 parameters

    Hello everyone

I am somehow at the end of my home here.  When I publish a Captivate 7.0.1 project in HTML5 format, I noticed that the project is centered in the web browser (probably using a margin: 0 auto; in CSS).  I want the project appear in the upper left corner of my browser.  I know I have to go into the source files of Captivate and change the default somewhere, but I don't know where.  I'm not referring to an LMS.  Just a straight line HTML5 publish.  I am using Captivate 7.0.1 Mac OS x 10.6.8.  I would be very grateful if someone could point me in the right direction!

  • Problem adding video to Captivate slide

    Hello

I'm having a problem adding a video file FLV to Captivate. Basically, after that I have published on a SWF file, the video does not appear on the slide at all. It's just empty.

After searching for a bit, I found that the file FLV MUST include * metadata *.

However, I added medatada with VLC Media Player, and it still shows the same behavior. There's a certain * amount * metadata? Is there a * type * of metadata without which the video not displayed?

Adobe help thread talking about what we call the ' Kit Flash video '-which is a stand-alone product or one extension of another product? Is it free? Are there any other free alternatives?

    I'm just very confused.

    Thank you!

I ended up answering my own question. But just in case this helps someone else, I'll post my solution.

Essentially, I just re-created the video in MP4 format. Then I used MetaZ (for Mac) to write metadata in the video. Finally, I imported the video as an object and when I posted the video, Captivate it transmutes to the FLV format needed.

The video is now displayed correctly.

  • Cannot convert flv to mp4 when I publish on html5

    Hello

I have a project as incorpporates FLV files which where successfully imported.  When I publish on HTML5, flv files do not convert to Mp4.  Ironically, if I publish the entire project in mp4 it works?

    Someone at - it ideas.

    P.S. I'm on Captivate 7

    Solved

I have been using a third-party program to generate FLV files.  Although captivate 7 accept these files & publishes these files in certain formats (mp4), Adobe media encoder fails to convert these files into mp4 format, if you want to publish as html5.  To resolve this problem, I had to put the files in captivate as AVI or MP4 files. Adobe media encoder and then converts it to an acceptable FLV for captivate.  If I can post on HTML 5, the media encoder converts successfully.

A quick test, I tried to convert the third generated FLV files directly using the adobe F4v files Media Converter and then import them into captivate, however Adobe media encoder does not recognize flv format.

Therefore, if you come with a similar problem, I highly recommend that you bring in your video files in avi or mp4 and let Adobe media encoder to do its job.

  • Help! -Live Web Cam Chat in an E-Learning Session of Captivate

I really hope that someone can help me with this one.  I do an e-learning session in Adobe Captivate, which must contain a live cam on the web chat.  I was thinking about creating a flash video to record the live web cam chat, but have no idea how do.  Unfortunately it is a skill that I have not had the opportunity to learn and have never had to do this before.  Its very new and advanced for me!

    Please help someone!

    Thank you very much

    Lisa

    Hi Lisa

    Very well. Gotcha!

To start, you will not want to Captivate allows to capture Web Chat. I recently tried some full motion using Captivate 4 and it is rarely going to give you anything remotely close to what you want. So, you will need investigating another software to capture Web Cam stuff.

May investigate another Adobe called Visual Communicatorproduct.

Once you get something that is capable of capturing the webcam, it should spit back a file in format FLV or SWF output. You would then drop the FLV into Captivate. (Or present it in a frame on a web page).

    Hope this helps a smidge.

    Happy Friday! Rick

  • volume of FLV file

I imported a video .flv (value progressive download) into the first slide in a Captivate 3.0, imported project followed by slides with audio. When the project is presented in preview or published, the volume of the video is substantially lower than the volume of audio clips. We have placed the .flv video file on a web page outside the Captivate project and the volume level seems fine, but when placed in Captivate, something seems to happen to the volume levels... We also checked that audio clips in the slides after the video play to their normal level.

Anyone know why this is happening or what can be done to solve the problem? It's really a discordant effect from the quiet video to (what seems to be) extremely strong following slides!

(I found this question in a previous request, but he never responded, can help)

FYI, a way around the problem:
-Extract the audio from the file source, encode it to MP3 video
-Encode the source (without audio) as a FLV video
-Import the FLV into Captivate, in Flash Video properties, go to the audio section and join the MP3 that you created. The audio will play at its normal volume at first, but better yet, in the section "Edit" on this tab, you have access to all the same volume and standardization controls you have in any other Captivate slide.

Worked for me - only downside so far is that if you're looking for in the slide with the video on this subject, the video and audio can become slightly out of sync.

  • Failure of the legends and funktionality click right does not work

    Hello
I have a problem with the publication of my adobe captivate project. I do softwaresimulations and so must my learning to have legends funktionality and right-click to fail. But it does not work on the PDF or SWF file. I already know that I have to go the presets and take off the easy check (sorry, I don't know what you call it in English, in German, it is "Barrierefreiheit"). If this isn't the solution. Today I did an update of captivate and when I publish it now I can open the file called "index" and then it works very well. How can I make it work when I want to publish e-Learning-course on my company Intranet Portal?
Thank you very much for your help!

    Natalie

The SWF file is not supposed to be uploaded to a server or LMS as such: when you publish to SWF you get multiple files, not only the SWF file. Click right feature is integrated into the JS-companion file. You have to start the file HTML (same name as the name of the project), which called the JS file (and possibly the file dependent on the CSS version) and then launch the SWF file. Did you follow this workflow?

You must uncheck "Accessibility" to provide right click functionality.

  • Publication in Captivate v9 plays is not in the custom size

    Hello

    I have created and published a draft to 950 x 560. I have published swf and html5 and it reads in the correct size window. I then saved the project under a new name and edited and published again, but it's playing to 100% and not to the size of the window. I compared the two .htm files and we have the correct settings - "Captivate", '951', '591', '10', '#CCCCCC'). The other shows 'Captivate', '100% ', '100% ', '10', '#CCCCCC');

I can't find something different in the publication settings. Can someone please?

    Thank you

Are - what you happened to select scalable HTML perhaps?

The difference is that one who works is running on your localhost, which is a server. The last one works right from your hard drive. Your system must not be configured to allow scripts to run locally. If you push your files to a server, I'm sure it would work.
