  Perhaps you should consider updating Over The Air. Settings > general > software update.

  You cannot re-create the purchased playlist but you can try to create a smart playlist based on "purchased = true".

  Some menus have been reorganized in the latest iTunes.  I do not use the new iTunes, but since yours is the first post I've seen on this subject I think that to find duplicates feature is still there.

  Open iTunes on your Mac and click your name (if you are not signed in, then sign to see your name). Then click on account information. Once you enter the account information screen, you will see a section called historical of purchases. Click 'View all' to see the list of purchases and the ability to watch the dates more.

  The problem is that in older versions of iTunes application put the albums under the name of the artist even if the Album artist was the same, with the last version he does this from time to time, and I can't understand where is the problem here. I have read several subject on the same question and tried the following:

  1. in the display songs selected all tracks of this album (I Am OK (Remixed)) which should be under Oliver Koletzki as artist of the Album, made sure the spelling is the same, renowned artist of the Album to Oliver Koletzki1 and renamed then back to Oliver Koletzki - this did not help, the titles remain under different Oliver Koletzki

  2. on the sorting tab, I tried to change mixed to Oliver Koletzki in sorting section of artist Album - the application I cannot do

  1. in the songs view select all tracks that should be under Oliver Koletzki as Album artist (means chosen the tracks of several albums), rename Album Artis of Oliver Koletzki to Oliver Koletzki1 and then rename it to Oliver Koletzki - this allows several albums under Oliver Koletzki, but still 1 album remains under Oliver Koletzki duplicated entry

  This isn't a good solution, because I get to spend days rename tracks in my library (> 60 000 titles), not to mention the Album artist group worked before very well.

• Lack of purchased songs from iTunes library

  Like a lot of other people a lot of my already purchased songs are missing in my library. My computer was stolen early 2015 and everything I bought before this date has disappeared.  I followed all of the suggestions to restore but without success. The songs were purchased between 2011 and 2014. They have a circle/question mark next to them. I went to my account and I don't have an option to Hide/Unhide.

  I can see the purchase history so I know that I paid for them. I searched my computer for m4a files - missing purchased songs aren't anywhere to be found. I deleted the songs on iTunes that bring the matter / the circle next to them and restarted.

  I tried following the instructions to redownload files, but all the songs that I paid to have an 'x' next to them and no download cloud icon which means I can't download them again.

  I have a Macbook Pro running OS X Yosemite 10.10.5 and spin the latest version of iTunes.

  Is anyone able to suggest a solution? Thank you

  Just bought an iMac and have created most of the things.  However, for the life of me, I can't library iTunes App to display any content.

  I opened iTunes, open the App library and under "My Apps" everything he says is "Apps, Apps you download for your iPad, iPhone or iPod touch appear in your application library.  Each of the other choices, "My iPhone Apps", "My Apps iPad" and "Updates" show the same thing.

• Eliminate duplicate entries iTunes but keep metadata

  So I accidentally deleted my iTunes media, but no biggie, because it's all backed up.  I dragged the backup directory (that is, just the files music and video) in iTunes.  Now I have two entries for each song in my library - one who has specific metadata (playcount, date added, etc.), but is a broken link and another entry that works, but doesn't have the metadata I want to keep.

  I want to have is an application or a script that's going to associate the file linked in the new topic with the old entry and then remove the new entry.  Is there something like this?

  I DON'T want to go and do it manually.  Nor do I want one of the many applications that will just delete the entries of dead link.

  Is that maybe I could make an Applescript script for?  (I have some experience of programming, but have never messed with AppleScript).

  Since you have a good backup, forget the library mess you created and just restore the whole iTunes folder. This will give you the files and metadata.
