• Can't reboot iMac issues Finder in El Capitan

  I had some problems with an iMac running El Capitan. The question seems to be Finder, specifically. I can't stop it. I tried to let it stop by itself from one day to the next without result.

  Occasionally, I get this message: the screenshot below is Dutch but said something along the lines of:

  Your Mac is off not because Finder could not be stopped. Please leave Finder to continue.

  

  

  I tried many things

  • I tried shutting it down with a hard reset (button / stop and a shutdown of the terminal command) and reboot.
  • I tried to drive in recovery mode repair,
  • I tried to reset the NVRAM.
  • I tried to stop Finder with the usual suspects: Force Quit, killall Finder .

  The latter does something, but certainly not what I expect:

  

  

  It seems that Finder left, is no longer in the list activity monitor. He raises with terminal command open . user's home folder gives the error:

  LSOpenURLsWithRole() failed with error -600...

  It is reproducible in the sense that it always happens on an iMac. I don't know how to fix it. Any suggestions?

  Outdated software for a Tablet Wacom can prevent the closing. If you no longer use the device, please remove the software. Otherwise, update the latest version of the Web site of the manufacturer.

  After following the instructions on the removal link above, you may also need to open the users and groups in system preferences, select the login items tab and remove all Wacom related items. It is because the uninstall program is defective.

  Back up all data before making any changes.

  Only drawbacks are LED lighting and only 250 cd/m2 brightness, but these specifications will hamper you not for video editing, and certainly not for the price. It looks like an excellent choice.

  I have a nine purchased imac in 2013 its been running on the mountain lion 10.8.5 it was slow so I decided to reset to the factory settings. He returned to 10.8.5 as soon as it was factory reset, but I tried the update el capitan... It started to download... said that he would take hours 13 or more... then he says 4 and so on.

  I left the computer and when looked at him screen a few hours later it seems to be complete. It restarted etc but when she came back she was still running mountain lion! now, updates the page States there is no need of updates! However, they also say the same for my beginning 2013 15 "MacBook Pro retina (16GB, 512 GB of flash). I wonder if they simply don't have to update this site for 10.11.x. A reason to believe that 10.11.3 does not work well on her iMac? It also seems that there is a lot of criticism of a star on the App Store. She should stick with Lion? I'm always on Yosemite on my MBP, so I have no experience with El Capitan.

Recently purchased iMac and connected to 6210 HP via USB.  Printer added successfully & had both print and scan ability.  I had been using the scanner with success (more than 100 files) to move to move files on Dropbox with no problems at all.  Left window open during dinner, stop Mac scan. Turned the Mac back the next day. Ability to scan did not work.  Scan the 'grey' button

  I tried to close all the windows of HP 6210, restart printer, restart the computer. I tried Preview/Printers & Scanners/Image Capture. Nothing works. I deleted the printer & readded. Button 'Scan' is no longer appear at all as an option in the Print & Scan dialog.

  I tried to scan some before 6210 HP itself. When pressing the "Scan" button to get the following message is displayed: 'no scan options. Need to run or install software device for features. »

  I ran the Apple update. But nothing seems to help at this point.  6210 HP print without any problems.

  I understand that you receive a message saying no scan options when you try to scan a document using the Officejet 6210. I will do my best to help you! I would recommend to fix permissions of the drive on your computer by following this document Apple here.

  Also, make sure that all your Apple updates are done by following this document here. If it does not have a difference, I would uninstall the software by following this document HP uninstalling the software of the printer. Please perform method 1 and 2 of this document.

  Once this operation is complete, try to install the software from the HP website here. Please post your results, I will be looking forward to hear from your part have a good night!
