No Scan HP 6210 USB iMac running OS 10.9.4 link

I have a HP 6210 all-in-One former Officet. Recently purchased iMac and connected to 6210 HP via USB.  Printer added successfully & had both print and scan ability.  I had been using the scanner with success (more than 100 files) to move to move files on Dropbox with no problems at all.  Left window open during dinner, stop Mac scan. Turned the Mac back the next day. Ability to scan did not work.  Scan the 'grey' button

I tried to close all the windows of HP 6210, restart printer, restart the computer. I tried Preview/Printers & Scanners/Image Capture. Nothing works. I deleted the printer & readded. Button 'Scan' is no longer appear at all as an option in the Print & Scan dialog.

I tried to scan some before 6210 HP itself. When pressing the "Scan" button to get the following message is displayed: 'no scan options. Need to run or install software device for features. »

I ran the Apple update. But nothing seems to help at this point.  6210 HP print without any problems.

Would appreciate any help.

I understand that you receive a message saying no scan options when you try to scan a document using the Officejet 6210. I will do my best to help you! I would recommend to fix permissions of the drive on your computer by following this document Apple here.

Also, make sure that all your Apple updates are done by following this document here. If it does not have a difference, I would uninstall the software by following this document HP uninstalling the software of the printer. Please perform method 1 and 2 of this document.

Once this operation is complete, try to install the software from the HP website here. Please post your results, I will be looking forward to hear from your part have a good night!

    I can't activate my HP utility on my mac analysis. I can not scan from my printer on my mac with message that says: it is not connected.     I can print from my mac to the printer that is not the issue. The issue has to do with the sweep.

  • Impossible to print via USB using my iMac running 10.6.8 Officejet 4635

    I bought this printer all in one HP Officejet 4635 yesterday and are unable to print via USB.  I have an iMac running OS 10.6.8.  Until I'veI tried all of the suggestions that I could find on these forums (ex: downloaded the latest driver, disconnect/reconnect the power to disconnect/reconnect usb, delete and 'Add PRINTER' again, etc...) The computer does not recognize the printer, but displays "Unable to send print data" after I click on print.  I know that the printer works very well because I was able to send the document directly to his personal email address.   Help, please!

  • iMac running slow!

    I have an iMac running El Capitan 2013. Sometimes, it seems that someone poured glue into the gears. Apple Mail is slow to respond. Programs to take a minute or two to open it. I try to look at the activity monitor at what is happening, but I don't know what to look for in terms of unusual activity.

    I provided my Etretech report, which said 'Good', but yesterday during one of those slow periods, he said it was "below average".

    Uninstall Norton AV. There are no viruses that can attack Mac.OS X. For example, anti-virus programs are selling a cure for a disease that does not exist.   • very slow iMac, running el Capitan

    My iMac has been gradually slow down over the months. I thought that the update to el Capitan would have helped, but it didn't - but I don't think he's done worse.  Every thing I do on the Mac is slow. When I opened the window of the application of the sidebar, it takes several seconds to draw all icons. Opening of Firefox or Safari takes minutes and moving between tabs is almost impossible.

    I repaired disk permissions, zap my PRAM, reset the SMC and booted in safe mode and Open firefox has a little faster but the opening request file has been slower. Perhaps. It was probably the same substantially.

    I have an iMac running 10.11.4, with Intel core i5 2.7 GHz, 8GM memory and 470 GB free on the hard drive. Activity monitor shows that the activity monitor using most of the CPU (1.6%) with Firefox on the same.

    Hello

    I have a NI 6210 usb device which I want to use in a virtual machine running in Sun's VirtualBox.

    The host operating system is Vista, the operating system in the virtual XP machine.

    It seems as if between the two OS USB device sharing does not work correctly.

    I installed the drivers fpr the 6210 in both the host and the guest operating system.

    The device is correctly detected in the host operating system.

    What I want to do is use the usb device in the virtual machine only, there no need to be available in the host operating system.

    But when I run the virtual machine, it seems as if the usb toggle device between the host and OS invited frequently, i.e. in a second, it appears in the host operating system, in the next second it appears in the guest OS. Is there a way to "turn off" the device usb in the OS, host so that it can be used exclusively by the guest operating system?

    I also tried to use Windows7 as the host operating system but with the same result as described above.

    Can you tell me which version of the DAQmx driver you use? I am aware of a case where he helps update version 8.9 the DAQmx. If you have an older version, please upgrade. I hope that you have added a filter to the VirtuaBox mentioned such in support USB in VirtualBox help file section 3.7.9.

  • What to do about an iMac running hot

    My iMac running Yosemite 10.10.5 slowed and I received a lot of beach balls to the point where I couldn't even force quit. Restart helps a little, but something was still wrong. So I ran Disk Warrior and the first he said was that the computer worked hot. But I don't know what to do about it apart from closing for a while. But who would help in the long term? DW replaced the directory but found little, and there some file it turns out be damaged and cannot be repaired. So nothing remarkable except the hot question running.

  • I have an IMAc running on the latest version of El Capitan. MY blutooth followed pad has a mind of its own - opening windows and text highlighting / deletion.  In addition to this my screen keeps freezing and the spinning ball will appear.

    Thank you for reaching out to the Community Support from Apple. I know how important it must be able to count on your devices work as expected, and I have a few steps that should help resolve the behaviors you see.

    I would recommend to go by resetting your management system (SCM) controller. MSC helps control and regulate different material on your Mac, including Bluetooth systems.  This article will guide you in this process: reset the management system (SCM) controller on your Mac.

    If you still experience the issue after the test, you can test the behavior to a test user. This will help us to determine if the problem is systemic or isolated to your user account. This article will guide you in this process: How to test a question in another account on your Mac user

    If the behavior is duplicated to the test user, I'd recommend reinstalling El Capitan. This will not delete your data. To reinstall using the recovery mode, take a look at this article: How to reinstall OS X

    Have you tried to boot from the Partition Recovery and repair then the disc from there, using disk utility?

  • My new iMac runs slowly

    Hello. First time poster. I use Mac Laptops since 2008 and have been super happy with them. Got my first office in April, but didn't really use it until about 2 months ago (perform a certain work of photoshop and illustrator). I was immediately surprised by the slow the iMac running right from the start. I kept hope he would run faster, but it didn't, and it's so frustrating. Basically, I get the color wheel when I'm trying to do. Almost every command takes much longer it would take on my laptop more old. I can't imagine that this is normal. I have applecare, but I didn't drag my 3 grandsons and the iMac to the store just to have to tell me, it's good.     I bought an IMAC running OS EL captain. I am looking for a drive external blue ray that supports this operating system. I want to be able to burn discs blue ray with the movies I make my camera that supports 1080 p and 4 k. Honestly, I could not find one that supports. The highest he's 10.8/10.7/10.6 Mac OS X.
