Pushing a clip in the multitrack CS6 - no go

Hello world

I can't push the audio clips in hearing CS6.   I use Win 7.

When I have several clips in multitrack view, I click on one, and then I hold down the ALT key and press the left or right arrows, but the clip does not move.   I'm doing something wrong?

When I'm in Premiere Pro CS6, on the other hand, I can click on a clip and boost using ALT left or right arrow.

Any ideas?

Thank you!

Uh, that is the sort of do what Ctrl + arrows! They don't just clip selected, but on all the clips in your session - so the CTI (what you think of as the cursor) will jump, since point you run it, after each start of clip and the end it comes to the session in order. In general this is not a problem at all, because it's lightning fast to it.

And of course, it's the conflict that you would have to pay if you to change the behavior of boost...

  • Dysfunction of the multitrack Editor

Suddenly, none of my audio clips line up with any other audio clips in a multitrack Editor. As in, when I try to move an audio clip beside, under or over another audio clip; simply, it will not automatically align with Audio2 Audio1 as it is supposed to. Instead, I'll have to do it manually in zooming all the way and corresponding to my clips together so that they play at the same time.

Maybe I messed up some settings by accident for this situation to happen

Please help me if you have any ideas or suggestions

Well, the first thing I would check is that you have not accidentally enabled the option OFF alignment - easy to make, I did it myself.  Control is the icon that looks like a magnet upwards by controls for the metronome and so on:

Once you have enabled snap on, you can go to Edit serpentine, Snap to Clips (or one of the other options if this fits your workflow better).

  • How to see all frames of a clip on the timeline first?

There are of course times when I need to see all frames of a clip to synchronize two clips. For example, imagine you have a shoot with two cameras, and both devices were looking to a clapstick, or a strobe. I want to put the two clips on the timeline and zoom in to see all images. Now I can align the two clips fo that clarification of each clip is over/under each other. However, when I zoomed in on the timeline, it seems that I can zoom in enough to see all the images that I do to be able to zoom all the way in the scenario that I can see images of the clips? I have not actually tried this yet with CC, but there with CS6 and he wouldn't do it.

Find the "sync" Frame in the Source monitor and place a marker on it for each Clip.

These will be easy to line up in the timeline panel

  • How do while preserving clipping mask the structure layer sup?

    Hi guys,.

I'm editing a map and a need for my map divided into several rectangular segments. My card is composed of several layers and layers of sup I need to keep. When I'm mowing hide the map with a rectangle all the layers of subs merge in a single layer. How do while preserving clipping mask the structure layer sup? Looks like a "layer mask" is the right tool, but doesn't seem like CS6 has it?

    See you soon

Create new layer and move all other layers so that they are now under layers of the new layer. Draw a rectangle on the top layers, and then click the button mask in the layer panel. You have now created a clipping from the base of the layer mask.

  • How to apply audio and video transitions automatically when drop several clips to the timeline?

If I remember OK, in first previos versions, it was possible to drag multiple Clips in the project area to the timelineand apply automatically audio/video transitions.

It is possible to configure how many video images will overlap to a default value of transitions (and for audio, too).

Is this possible in first CS6 to do the same thing?  Leave me a link to the documentation or a hint, how to get this thing done.

I searched the documentation, but I have not found.

    Thanks for the tips.

I believe that the function you are referring is automate to sequence. In CS6, it is in the project Menu. for those who use the CC, it's in the Clip Menu.

To add a clip to the timeline, you must either create a new sequence via file > New > sequence and click and drag your clip to the sequence or in the project Panel, right-click on the clip and choose "create new sequence of the Clip.

  • How can I move a clip on the timeline, a framework at a time

    Hello

    I have cs6.

I have problems of movement of clips on the timeline slightly, that is, image by image, when I try to move I do not get the fine-tuning, it jumps a second.

How can I get a precise control?

  • Move all the clips to the right

In Premiere Pro, there is a tool to track selection that allow you to select all the objects on one or more tracks of a given point. It was easy when you make a rough cut and after that you want to create an intro. You simply pass all from there right in the timeline to create a workspace.

I can't find how to do this in Premiere Elements. I can zoom in on the whole project and select all the the elements, drag them to the right, but there must be an easier way, as in Premiere Pro. Can someone help me with this?

For this Black video, if I read what you need to do it correctly, click on the tail of the Clip and drag to the right. Do not use the modifier keys. This will increase the duration of the video Black and will Ripple all the following Clips to the right, to meet the increase.

The best I ever found, in which case selecting them and moving all the Clips beyond a point is "lasso" with the cursor. If one needs to Add Clips to this selection, then shift + click on it/them. If you need to delete Clips from this selection, then Alt-cick on those.

The other option is to simply make a ripple insert point of ICT and leave "push" all the Clips on the right to accommodate that.

PrPro, from CS 5.5, added a selection option, for all the right Clips of CTI (current time marker). Not sure if pre will adopt this option, or see targeting prior to the 11th, which will probably be released in Sept/Oct 2012, so normal history plans forward.

I find things much more easy, when you have only a few videos and Audio tracks, but I always find myself with a bunch of each, so that things become more difficult.

As you referred to both pre and PrPro, be aware that changing the default value is just the opposite, to each program. In the Meadow, changing the default value is the ripple of edition, and we would use the modifier key Ctrl to make in an Insert Edit, where you "replace" existing Clips, with that slipped. PrPro, the default value is insert it, change and key change Ctrl, which converts the ripple edit. As I use these two programs, I have to remind me what program I'm working in, to get the correct part. It seems that designers program makes some assumptions about the type of editing, users want more often, and the default value. Personally, I would like to see the same in each program, but to change now, would anger many longtime users.

    Good luck

  • Dragging several media in vertically stacked tracks clips in the timeline? Is this possible?

Hoping that some Adobe Premiere Guru might be able to lend insight into what apparently should be a fairly simple thing to do... but despite scouring the web, I can't seem to find a glance of a solution for this.

My neighbor (who, either by the way, I got to go with first CS5.5 as its NLE of choice as a result of uncertainty FCPX) working on a project of 'reality-style' where they have a massive amount of cameras working simultaniouisly hours and hours on end. think that the style of the Big Brother House.

Essentially for every hour of the sequence, he creates a project in which all the multiple camera (MOV) of the images of this time are listed/linked to the thread in the project Panel. For example, for the TIME being ONE, it has images of all 20 cameras (or other) currently one that there are listed.

BASICALLY what he wants to be able to do is to grab ALL the sequences of these different cameras AT the SAME TIME, drag them on the timeline, and when he leaves fall there, the video (and, conversely, audio) clips STACKED vertically, one above the other, each taking its own course in the timeline panel.

Currently, of course, when he does the images organizes itself in the end-to-end scenario. In the case of my HOUR ONE, 20 example of CAMERA, this essentially creates a long clip of 20 hours, as unlike a clip of an hour with 20 tracks, stacked one on the other.

As far as we can tell, have there is no shortcut to get there. I VAGUELY remember being able to do this in FCP (maybe?) so I'll be dazed and more than just a little disappointed if there isn't a way to pull this off in first.

Does anyone have an idea if this mode to automatically fall of clips in the timeline as superimposed tracks is possible? It, literally, to save him hours and hours of work if he can understand the secret. And I don't feel as guilty for him after having turned on the creation of this special project!

And if someone knows that it is NOT possible, it would be great to know as well. At least, we can put the concept of room one way or another.

    Thanks in advance.

    Best regards, Michael

You can do this with the command sequence camera make multiple source in Premiere Pro CS6 (note that this has been posted before CS6 launch):

    1. Mark clips
    2. Select the clips
    3. Choose item > create sequence multiple camera Source
    4. Choose the style of synchronization, and then click OK
    5. Right-click on the camera sequence multiple source and choose > open in the timeline.
    6. Clips are now stacked inside a sequence

  • How to boost clips in the timeline

    Hi all

I have relatively new Pr Pro and I'm working on a music video.  I need to synchronize multiple clips to the music track.  I would like to know is there a command to shift the position of the clip in the timeline panel so that I can more easily get my mouth movements to reflect the Sung words.  I know about the repositioning of the time indicator with arrow keys, but I can't find any info on pushing a real clip before or back.  Now I have to go to the highest resolution and move the clip with the selection tool.  Another problem is that the clip goes in the program monitor when it move with the selection tool.

    Thank you

Easy to do: Alt + arrow left/right to move an image. ALT + SHIFT + left/right arrow to move the 5 images.

Hmm... unless you have changed these combos of default values, those who are actually the key combos to drag a clip. To move an image, you want Alt +, (comma) or Alt +. (period). Add shift to move the 5 images.

At the end of the day, you can do these key combos to be (almost) everything you want. These combos and many others still is user customizable in Edition > customization of the keyboard.

EDIT: I should mention that as long as your clip is "floating" - in other words, its head and tail are not contiguous to the head or tail of any surrounding clips, the key combination mentioned Robert will work. However, if your target element is attached to one or more elements in the sequence, you can change the duration of the surrounding clips.

For example, say that your target clip is called "B", and that is 10 time frames. The previous clip is 'A' and is also long 10 frames, and the next clip is 'C' and is long of 10 images. If 'push you' B a clip image previously, clip will now be 9 frames long, because the last outgoing image overlap b, but C clip will remain long 10 frames, and a gap of 1 frame is created between B and C.

However, if you "slide" clip B one image earlier, clip one again be 9 frames and clip B will remain 10 images, but clip C will now 11 long frames with no gap between B and C.

Dragging a clip maintains its duration and its clip in and out of the points, but changes its timeline points and exit. Shots is the same thing, but it is not "sticky" in slippery road is that he shoots unused images in the adjacent elements in the sequence to fill gaps. Both have their use; It simply depends on the situation to dictate what you actually want to do.

  • Load the clip from the library in target on stage

Hello. Don't bother anyone with this but have been at it for hours and am at max of frustration level. I am using Flash CS3. I want to flip a button on the stage which will load a clip from my library in a clip that is currently sitting on the stage.

The desired effect would be comperable using the loadmovie command and by loading an external .swf into a target on the stage. Except in my case I want to load a clip in my library in the target, rather than having to load an external swf file. Make sense? The goal of making this way is I want the loaded clip to stand on the stage, while the cursor mills. But when the cursor rolls over another button, I would like a different clip in the library to replace the already loaded by the first button.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Be precise because I tend to get lost easily with this stuff. Thank you in advance.

If you want to replace what has already been placed with something new, and then specify a depth rather than using... target.getNextHighestDepth (...) which always goes to the top depth value

If the target is not a wild animal that would put you in danger, just use... 1 (I think). In all cases, you can find the best value before setting this value in stone using... trace (target.getNextHighestDepth ()); before fixing anything.

    on {(overview)
    target.attachMovie ("Area1Web1", "anyName", 1);
    }

Shit!... I forgot if that simply pushes the element formerly loaded at a different depth, is probably with my luck. If so, use target.removeMovieClip (); before attaching a new. The bottom line, I always try to offer... look in the files to help... they are your friend (once you get familiar with them).

Cool!... I spent some time with this friend, I just mentioned and found this diamond in the rough... "If you create or join a new clip on a depth has already a clip, the clip again or attached replaces existing content."
