Put blackBerry Smartphones called waiting to take another call

Just recently, I discovered these forums and they are great!

I had my 8830 for over a year and have never been able to find a way put a call on hold while responding to another without interrupting somehow the first caller.

Any help will be greatly appreciated... Thank you

Not sure about the use of the Bluetooth headset. There are so many people that do not know how you put people on hold. Do you still have the documentation that came with the headset to find how to do this?

I have a 8310, so when I hit the button hang up red, it gives just the second call, not the first call.

Hello and welcome to the community!

Each time a random strange behavior or slow creeps, the first thing to do is a battery pop reboot. With power ON, remove the hood back and remove the battery. Wait a minute, then replace the battery and cover. Power on and wait patiently through the long reboot - about 5 minutes. See if things return to functioning. Like all computing devices, BB suffers from memory leaks and others... with a hard reboot is the best remedy.

    Best!

  • BlackBerry smartphone calls

When I answer a phone call, the speaker turns on for 2 seconds, breath my eardrum, then it turns off, how to stay off?

    Welcome to the billsbbq forums

    Try a battery pull first:
    1. remove the battery while the phone is turned on
    2. wait a few seconds before inserting it again
    3. wait for the long end of the boot process (takes a few minutes usually)

This clears most of the software problems that occur on the BlackBerry from time to time. You can also use Quickpull, a free application that simulates a battery pull without removing the battery: http://software.crackberry.com/product.asp?id=27660
A battery pull gets lost when using the applications memory and clears minor software errors that creep over time. The blackberry is running an operating system just like your PC is running windows and battery pull is the equivalent of a reboot / restart your computer.

  • BlackBerry Smartphones move BES Mail to another device

    Hi guys

Im a beginner please take it easy on me and if I left out info to help the problem, please forgive me.

Our MD has a Blackberry smart phone on another network (lets call it Blackberry 8300) we did an upgrade on all new devices and cause is on a new network and the Blackberry "BOLD"

I know that BES does not affect the sim card.  So on the new device, everything works except the mail that is BES not BIS.

Our BES server is in Germany. We are based in South Africa

How can ensure me that mail will go to the new?

I have Desktop Manager v5.0 and in there, there is an option to swap devices.

I did this and coppied all data everywhere everywhere but still no mail.

Please tell me what I need to do to get this working.

It's true. Once you set a password for activation of the account, and the user activates it with the password, all the stuff of BES will move to the other device.

  • On my curve 9315 blackBerry Smartphones caller ID

Name and contact's photo does not appear when they call me. And the personalized ring resonates the contact when they call me.

Went into my phone app, then smart dialing, then put in my code that was missing, the callers name, number and photo display as expected.

  • BlackBerry Smartphones made reconciliation should take 3-4 hours?

Just buy the BBerry curve which replaced my Treo. On the Treo, you might push "send/receive" and it would be looking for emails as well as to reconcile with the POP3/ISP server. that is if I had downloaded or deleted from the server (earthlink) messages, then they would immediately disappear from the PDA.  I can't find a way to do it on the BBerry.  He does eventually - but it takes sometimes up to three or four hours before the delete.  By pushing the button of reconciliation does not seem to do anything, even if a connection is made.  Can you please help me to have the blackberry don't show that messages that are still not downloaded and/or not deleted and delete the messages downloaded or deleted more quickly?  Thank you!

    1. There is no such thing as send/receive on the BB, its all about mail push, comes automatically.

2 reconcile work but not sacred now, is not the priority, it takes a few hours as you said b4 nessage gets removed from BB, again its all about push email, receving your mail, everyhting else is secondary.

    Yet how recociliation works: http://www.blackberry.com/btsc/search.do?cmd=displayKC&docType=kc&externalId=KB05133&sliceId=SAL_Pub...

Now you have to leave a copy of the message you rmail server to receive all messages on BB, or if you do not leave a copy onmail server, messages only appear on BB so your e-mail (outlook) program is off, other wise, they will come in outlook (some random messages can always come on BB).

You can set balance option on BB if you want to remove the message on your e-mail server when deleting on the BB.

  • BlackBerry Smartphones caller ID number when I receive a call?

I don't know what happened, but all of a sudden when I get an incoming call, the caller ID is not displayed, so I have no idea who is the call until I answer the phone. I turned the phone off and on again, tried to take the battery, etc, but nothing worked. How can I fix? Thank you!

Just to check, you call people in your address book? Even if they are not it does not show the whole number of the incoming call? Also these numbers before that date have been arrested? Make sure that they are not blocking their number when they call you.

    Check the following settings:

    • Options | Security options | General settings. Make sure that the content Protection is disabled
    • Go to your phone call log /, click on the menu button, click Options. Then, go to the General Options. See if the identity of my limit is set to fixed network.
    • Go to your phone call log /, click on the menu button, click Options. Go to smart dial. Make sure your country code and national number length are set correctly
  • BlackBerry Smartphones Call Log icon

When I click on the "Call log" icon on the main screen I get the message "no instance speech application - OK.

It started yesterday and I have not changed anything.

I can still access the call through "switch application" log but that takes too much time.

    Any ideas?

    Thank you

  • BlackBerry Smartphones Caller ID contacts Blackberry Q10.

    Hi all

I recently got a Blackberry of Q10 to test our society.

    Here I used a BB Bold 9900.

I used BB Protect and Blackberry Desktop to make a form of backup the 9900.

Then I restored everything and everything is very good and works perfectly.

The only problem is when someone form the old form of contacts the BB9900 I restored it to give me a call, I do not see a caller ID. And when somebody that I added on the Q10 give me a call I see the caller ID.

Does anyone have a solution for this?

Sorry for my bad English (it is not my native language)

    -Thanks Vincent.

    Hello! You are welcome.

I checked online and it had the same questions about the peripheral BB10 running previous software. I guess it's a question about this specific operating system.

I suggest you upgrade your operating system to 10.2.0.1047

  • BlackBerry Smartphone calls go directly to voicemail when Im listening to mp3 player with headphones.

I was under the impression that if I was listening to my media player on my Blackberry 8120 with a listener that accompanies it, I'd be interrupted if someone called. I tested this the other day and my call went straight to voicemail. Is there a setting that will change that? I checked everywhere I knew to check on the phone and could not get what it is.

Also, not that it is important that much but my phone cell led flashes 3 different colors. Red, green and blue. I have no idea what the difference is, can anyone help with a knot of blackberry?

    Thank you
    Jason

What your device profile is configured on?

For the second question, the device flashes red if there is an unread message or notification; is green when there is an active network connection; and blue is then a bluetooth device is connected.

  • BlackBerry Smartphones call display

Hi guys, I av the bb Curve 8310. How can I change the display of the appellant to show just the name of the caller (without the appellant fon #) Please?

This option is not there in BlackBerry. We have to live with it. However, you can get some 3rd party applications to do the trick for you.

  • BlackBerry Smartphones please wait?

Hi, I bought a blackberry torch 9810 yesterday and whenever I click on something on the world of app, it says please wait and never loads

For example there is an update to facebook and I clcik to download it, it says permanently please wait

Does anyone know why this is? Thank you

Hello and welcome to the community!

I suggest that you clear the cache of the AppWorld application:

    1. open the App World

    2. go to my world

    3. for the BB keyboard-oriented - hold down the ALT key and press on, in the sequence R, then S, then T

3B. for touch screen only BBs - hold the num-lock (! 123 button) so that it hangs and then press on, in the sequence 3, then 4, then)

    4. If your BB locks after issuing clear cache, do a battery pull reboot

    5. return to the AppWorld. Connect to MyWorld (if there is one) and try again.

I hope it'll work for you! Good luck and let us know!

  • BlackBerry Smartphones Call Log problem - lists only the missed calls

I have the curve 8900 with t-mobile and I'm having the same exact problem that this user has:

    http://supportforums.BlackBerry.com/Rim/Board/message?board.ID=8900&message.ID=3200

My call log lists only the missed calls (dialed or received calls). He did this for a few weeks now. I received the error message 'exception: java.lang.NullPointerException eception' a few times as well.

I checked all available software updates and I use the most recent software.

Please help me if you can.

    Thank you

    Mike

I fixed it!  It took about an hour on the phone with t-mobile, but we thought about it.   For me, the problem was probably a few information corrupted in my call history.  I need to delete all the call history, and then it was fine.  To do this, you need to install the blackberry desktop manager on your computer if you have not already (be it from the cd that came with the phone or the Web site).  Open Fund Manager and connect the blackberry to the computer.  Select the backup and restore option.  Then, select the advanced option.  On the right side of the screen, there will be a list of all the features of the phone.  Scroll to phone call logs.  It lists the number of records in the phone.  All I had to do was remove all records from phone call and it was corrected.  Now my lists of newspaper calls dialed, received and missed and I no longer get the error message.  I hope it helps you too!
