PXI-ExpressCard8360 on Mac: visaconf does not see instruments

I bought a PXI-ExpressCard8360 to connect a cPCI crate to my Mac PowerBook. There must be a laptop, because it is a demonstration system, and none of our portable PC have an ExpressCard location. So, I took the risk that the bridge could work on a Mac.

According to this support article, most likely problem would be that the PCI enumeration is not listed on the bridge. I see from Apple System Profiler application it works fine; the instrument that I'm trying to access is listed as "3@7,14,0 PCI Slot". I am attaching the relevant pages of the System Profiler output. The only device with the ID of the seller "National Instruments" is listed as "Slot PCI 3@6,15,0"; I guess that's the PXI-8360 inserted in the cPCI crate.

According to this table, the PCI instruments should be accompanied by Mac OS x. Which is also implied by figure in this tutorial. However, on my system, the application of Configuration of NI-VISA lists all instruments PXI/PCI. I have version 4.4 of this utility.

Is it possible to convince visaconf to analyze the cPCI bus? You can also create a static reference? Or y at - it another way to access this instrument?

    I understand that you cannot set up the printer on the wireless network.

    For me looks that you connect the USB cable from the printer to the router. Generally this method will not work.

    You need to configure the wireless through the printing software and add the printer on Mac.

    All hard disks have finishes by fail.  Which may occur to your 1 TB HDD Mactor.

    Save your MBP on another HARD disk.

    Then look for hardware problems.  Using different USB ports.  Try different USB cables.  Remove the HARD drive and install in another known functional pregnant.  Test it on another Mac.

    If no success, then test it using disk utility > first aid.

The application of scanning HP, does not see it no more.

    While printing is the main reason I bought this unit, the scan function is also valuable and I would like to be able to use it. Of course the current HP software does not support my Mac and OS (Lion) - are there any ear; first versions of installation scanning software partitions. If not, do you have suggestions for () maybe) generic software that will allow me to use the scanner?

    Hi Colin,

    Sorry for the frustration you must be feeling.  I did some checking and confirmed that HP only provides drivers scan of your product on OS X 10.8 and later versions.  This product also supports the Apple AirPrint (scan) functionality, which allows you to scan without HP software, but still this support is only available on OS X 10.10 and later versions.

    I am not familiar with the features of 3rd party scan applications.  My only suggestion would be to consider upgrading the version of the OS on your Mac (if possible) because this opens up your options considerably.
