q * bert does not not on vista

I bought q * bert on a CD and it said that it is compatible with vista.  After the installation, I get the following error message:

script error Internet explorer

an error has occurred in the script on this page

Online: 6
Char: 1
error: can't move focus to the control because it is invisible, not licence, or of a type that does not access the focus.
Code: 0
URL: http//127.0.0: 4000/index.html

do you want to continue running scripts on this page?

I contacted again help on this and they said it could be a problem with internet explorer, so I upgraded my internet explorer but did not help.  Have also tried all the options of the different compatibility without help mode.

could you help me on this?

Looks like you do not have a plug for IE that is required to play, at least the version of IE.  Maybe your Flash drive is not the correct version or is not registered as an add-on with IE?  Have you checked the q * bert site here http://support.encoreusa.com/product.asp?id=2466 support?  The party "cannot activate control" error means that something is not correctly with IE - more likely an add on like Flash or Java.  Check your addition on Control Panel in Internet Explorer to ensure that all ons add that you need to run this game are here and activated.  To do this in IE 8, go to tools > Manage Add ons.  You can check the requirement for the game at the still site support link above.

Let us know if we can provide assistance.

  • Satellite P300D-15O - display drivers does not-XP/Vista

    Hi all

After buying this Satellite P300D-15O tried several times the reinstallation of operating systems: Windows XP Pro, Windows Vista x 32 and x 64 version, but does not display drivers offered by Toshiba downloads: it runs only the Windows standard vga drivers after you have installed and not working drivers for AMD/ATI HD3470.

Max resolution is 1152 x 864. The laptop has been pre-installed with Vista Home Premium and good work and resolution of 1440 x 900 ATI drivers; but I want a new installation on my own without any addition of pre-installed software from McAfee/Google etc - The Toshiba telephone Customer Service can't help for this problem, they have NO answer, :(! Is there a solution with the inf files? Can anyone help!

    THX, endo

    Hello

In my opinion, make you a huge mistake. Laptop with factory settings is perfect set up and all hardware components are working properly. OK, I understand you don't want to use some additional preinstalled software, but you must understand that you don't have to do it.

I have absolutely the same option about it than you and the first thing I did with my Satellite P200D is to remove all the software, I don't want to have installed on the system.

You can do the same thing. Go to the control panel > programs and features and then remove all the additional software. Later, install your favorite software and be happy with it.
I do the same thing. Why install OS Vista own especially if you ve already paid for a Vista license.

  • Satellite Pro L40 - wireless adapter does not work - Vista

I recently had some problems with my laptop.
A couple of weeks, I put in a disc of OpenSuse.
It's not stable anything, but locked me out of my original Vista operating system.

I reinstallled Vista Home Basic, but there are a few problems.
Mainly, my wireless adapter does not work.

When I flip the button to turn it on nothing happens and it is not recognized in Windows.
I installed Atheros Driver, but still nothing happens, light is not yet.

    Any advice?

    Hello

First check the device-> network adapters area manager
You see the WLan card? Or the unknown device appears?

If there is an unknown device, then the WLan driver has not been installed correctly or you tried to install a driver badly these two options are possible.

Remember that your wireless network card? Maybe it was a Realtek WLan card?

If it's a Realtek WLan card, try the WLan driver from the Realtek website and look for 802.11 g (RTL8187B) chip or you will simply check the page of the European driver Toshiba too the Realtek WLan driver also appeared on the Toshiba page

  • Dv5 does not load Vista, failing hard drive test

I have a laptop HP DV5 with Vista - 2 years and more under warranty.  He had some problems with Windows Update error codes, I did a system restore to a point a little backward.  This does not solve the problem, so I tried to cancel restoring the system back to the State of our days.  This was fine, but then the system locked up when he tried to restart itself-it has attempted to restart for 45 minutes and got nowhere, so I turned off.  This throw Windows completely, as the system restore was not full yet, so now that my computer will boot the HP logo and start up options, but then get hung up trying to load windows (I have a black screen with a scroll bar down cycles endlessly with Microsoft Corporation written below)

Bottom line - I can't get the computer to boot windows, and system recovery does not work.  Tried directly from the hard drive and vain and ordered HP-put one disk disks this morning, once removed from the HP screen, I get the bar "Windows loading files" at the bottom, which ends in about a minute, but then it just goes back to its normal load upward, with the scroll bar and Microsoft Corporation at the bottom of the screen.  So I can't open basically even the system restore window.

I just ran the self-test of the primary hard drive and had hard disk Test do not.  I'm not particularly computer saavy (I didn't know that to do this test in reading this forum), if anyone can tell me what I should do next?  I don't want to go somewhere and get screwed!

    Thank you!

    -Becky

    Hi Becky,

The result of the primary Hard Drive Self Test means your hard drive is defective and must be replaced.  It is the HARD drive in my dv5.

    http://www.Amazon.co.UK/320GB-Scorpio-WD3200BEVT-SATA-5400rpm/DP/B0013E0A0M

Hard drive replacement is not difficult (generally remove two screws from the cover of the HARD drive on the bottom of your laptop, remove a futher two screws holding the disc in place then pulling on one leg to lift the reader.  Then unscrew the metal casing around your old drive - often called the caddy drive - attaching to your new drive, insert the new drive, fix it with two screws and replace the cover.  Then simply insert your recovery DVDs to load Vista on your new drive.  Here is a Youtube video showing this.

    I hope this helps.

What should I do? Thank you.

    Hello

Method 1: I suggest that you do the startup repair using the Windows Vista installation disc and check if it works.

If you have a Windows Vista installation disc, you need to restart (boot) your computer using the installation disc. If you do not restart your computer from the disk, the option to repair your computer will not appear.

    a. Insert the installation disc.

    b. restart your computer.

Click the Start button, click the arrow next to the button lock and then click on restart.

    c. If prompted, press any key to start Windows from the installation disc.

Note: If your computer is not configured to start from a CD or a DVD, see the documentation provided with your computer. You may need to change your computer's BIOS settings. For more information, see BIOS: frequently asked questions.

    d. choose your language settings, and then click Next.

    e. click on repair your computer.

    f. Select the operating system you want to repair, and then click Next.

    g. in the System Recovery Options menu, click Startup Repair.

See: How can I fix a startup (startup)?

    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows-Vista/how-do-I-fix-a-boot-startup-problem

Method 2: If above method fails, then run the command chkdsk WinRE (Windows Recovery Environment) and check if it solves the problem:

    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows7/what-are-the-system-recovery-options-in-Windows-7

Note: Select command prompt from the system recovery options and follow the mentioned below as follows:

Type the following command and press ENTER.

    Chkdsk /r

Note: Chkdsk /r command erases / corrupted hard disk data corrections. Some of your personal files/data may be erased.

  • Network of Windows media sharing service player does not start - Vista and PS3

I am running Vista 32 bit Home Premium and trying to share my media to DLNA on my PS3 PC using Windows Media Sharing Service. UPnP is enabled. Network discovery is turned on. File sharing is enabled. Media sharing is turned on.

Whenever I visit Windows Media Player or try to change the setting of sharing media in network and sharing Center, there is the error message "media sharing is currently disabled, either because the sharing service is not running or your firewall settings have changed. To restart sharing, you must first confirm your settings.

During the deactivation and reactivation of sharing multimedia files, I never see PS3 on the list (not a single unknown device appears). Also I see no Windows Media Player Network Sharing Service on the list of Services - there is no way to toggle the service or do start automatically.

There are several user accounts on this PC and I made the changes on my admin account.

Tried a 3rd party software Java "PS3 Media Server" and makes my Vista computer show on PS3 without parameters or modifications to firewall. This suggests that the WIFI, router, network discovery and UPnP work. I prefer to use Windows services if I would only get their work.

I'm having a problem getting my new 3.5 mm microphone to work properly. The microphone is plugged in correctly in either taking rose in the back or the front of the case, but no sound is recorded. I checked the menu sounds through "Manage Audio devices" in the control panel and Yes, the green bars are moving. All levels are up, nothing is cut. I looked in the Realtek Audio Manager and the recording level is maxed out as well. The only thing that is cut is the Volume of reading to the Realtek program (reactivate this only causes the microphone continuously power the speakers and has no record effect). I checked several programs (steam, Windows Sound Recorder, Teamspeak, Mumble) and bars green all spend in each, but still no sound is transmitted. The microphone was working on a Skype test call, it worked on another computer, and I used USB microphones without problem on this machine before, so I'm fairly certain that this is not a hardware problem.
