• Q10 Facebook App blackBerry questions

  I have a problem that seems to be new (I'm not really paid attention to it before a month ago). Under settings in my contacts (Yearbook), I always cut contacts to bbm, bbm video, sim AND Facebook contacts. The only contacts I want in my contacts list is so numbers I added however whenever I reboot my phone, my phone always reset that parameter and continues to show my Facebook contact list over 1700 people. I don't want to continue to see this and I continue to turn them off, but it keeps appearing after reboot or when I turn on my phone. Help, please!

  There are also 10 official releases in the 10.3.2 branch... There have been 14 official releases since the version you are using. But, the way it works is that BB releases to all carriers at the same time... and then they each decide what to do with them. If a carrier chooses to not approve them, then it's their right to do so, leaving their users far behind.

  So, somehow, your carrier already knows all this (they received these 14 press releases and all other carriers in the world). The real challenge is to find someone inside the carrier, which is in fact aware of all specific information... most of all the reports we receive here indicate that this is a rare commodity. I hope that you will be luckier than most.

  My contacts app keeps on duplication of names... I've unmarked, showing contacts from other applications (Facebook - twitter - linkedin-etc) unmarked sync. of all my email addresses... also showing contacts from the Sim Card (although it is empty)... and again, I see a lot of contacts shown 2 or 3 times to the title on the other, some of them are without any info (numbers - mails.. etc)... Surprisingly, I deleted all these duplicates manually and they again...

  Interesting that the math does not match the quantity of contacts. But the more difficult answer is that your contacts are in the Local storage, which is actually the most difficult to work with. Use of a source of OTA (for example, Hotmail, Google, etc.) allows much more robust handling of the contact items themselves. I have my data under control on Outlook.com and integrated in my PRIVATE, 3 devices BB10, a PlayBook, and two instances of MS Outlook (a MAC, a Win10)... the changes I do anywhere are dutifully and automatically replicated on all the other places. In addition, my data is protected... None of these interfaces can completely (Crash and Burn) CAB without any loss of data whatsoever. But, it's my choice of operating condition, not yours.

  I do not remember if you use the operating system had this problem or not, but there were 3 versions more released by BB since, with some bugfixes and improvements they may contain. But, even once, since you chose to keep your 'Local' data, many remedies won't be available as they will need to wipe the device and/or reload the OS cleanly, with a fresh install of everything (for example, no backup/restore). With local contacts, it's a much bigger challenge.

  As a result, we end up with less 'harmful' remedies, which I hope will solve your situation. Reference:

  There are likely more KB articles that may be useful, but you can search KB database as well as anyone.

  If nothing is useful, then the next steps, I think will be more destructive data... and so you will need to prepare by preserving your data on your device. Maybe sync via USB/LINK with Outlook? Or perform a backup via the LINK and then extract (3rd part of PC Tools) the data so that you can be sure it's safe? Of course if you need to go to all that trouble, then it might be just as well to migrate you to the solution of the OTA, I noted above, as that would alleviate the problem of loss of data completely as you proceed through different remedies.

How can I get my contacts to display once more?

  I searched and thought I'd ask here.

  I want to add an app that "merges" my contacts automatically or allows me to do. For example, a LinkedIn or Facebook entry merged with my contact company so I have only one of each person. I've tried a couple and they don't really cut it.

  Believe it or not, the Blackberry 10 device I've used briefly does brilliantly and in native mode.

  Ideas anyone?

  You know you can do it with the stock Contact app, right?

  Navigate to one of the contacts to merge > Menu > Edit > Menu > join > select contact to merge > save.

• Contacts from blackBerry Smartphones does not work after software update

  Anyone else having problems with their Contacts button? I installed the updated software version yesterday morning and now whenever I click on Contacts, I get a message saying that "Unfortunately, has stopped Contacts" and the only option I had was to report this to crash the first time; now, I can only choose "OK". I tried to restart my phone, but it did make a difference.

  He worked before that, I only left a micro-SIM with my Z10 to a nano-SIM for the Priv Monday night (4th) and started using it yesterday (5th) whole and I me join and links contacts before this happened.

  Any help would be appreciated.

  Hi everyone, just a quick update: it turns out that it's a problem/bug BlackBerry already know and are trying to solve. There was an update from 01/09/16 for the Contacts app, but it doesn't seem to work when I installed the update. Workaround that I was advised to use in the meantime is as follows:

  • Deselect auto-updated option on Play store -in the game store, tap 3 horizontal lines in the 'search' box to set up your account > settings > auto-update apps > not auto-implementation update app

  • Contacts to revert to the version of factory default - settings > Apps > select Contacts and then:

  1. Click on clear Cache
  2. Press Force
  3. Press on uninstall updates
  4. Press OK when you are prompted to do so

  Not with contacts app that comes with the phone, but you can find some of the 3rd party applications in BlackBerry World can do what you want.

  My new Z10 has all my work to the Outlook Contacts - contacts contain e-mail and phone information. But when I use the Z10 as a phone, there is no listed contacts I press the touch phone button. The Z10 not automatically link contacts in the 'Contacts' application to the list of contacts in the phone app? If this is not the case, how can they be imported to phone contacts list? I copied my contacts from the SIM card, but still nothing appears in the list of contacts from phone. I read the suggestion 'reset the diagonal sliding phone' in anorther thread but slippery diagonal has no effect on my phone.

  Anyone seeing this problem? All solutions?

  In the last few hours, I discovered the answer to my own question. My Blackberry is provided through my hospital and their COMPUTING service has enabled a policy built into the design of Blackberry which deals with the application phone as a private application and it blocks share the contact information in the application contact (which is linked to the corporate Server Outlook). Alors_que is boring (a phone with no contact), the solution is to make phone calls by opening the Contacts app first and throwing the phone call from here.) • Contacts app on iPad from IOS 9 air crash

  Since IOS 9 contacts app starts for a second then shows contacts and then immediately disappears. After upgrading to iOS 9.3.3 no change. Restart the iPad does not help.

  Thank you for reaching out by Apple Support communities. After reading your post, I understand that your app is not open very long - it will close unexpectedly after only a few seconds. I see as you have updated your iOS, force to leave the app and restart your iPad, but none of these steps have fixed the problem for you. I rely on access to my Contacts app every day, so I definitely want to make sure yours is accessible!

  You already crossed some great troubleshooting steps to try to resolve the problem, so my recommendation here is the following. Each of these steps one to try in time and test after each is finished.

  1. Reset all the settings on your iPad under settings > general > reset > reset all settings. This removes any of your data, but it will return customizable settings (such as your background screen and display brightness, alert sounds and the Date and time settings) to the factory settings. It will also remove any Wi - Fi networks and saved passwords and delete all APN or VPN parameters used previously.
  2. Back up your iPad using iCloud or iTunes, and then restore the iPad to factory settings. If you don't know how to back up your iPad, the article below will guide you through the two iCloud and iTunes. Choose the option that suits you best.

     Once you have saved it, follow the steps in the following article to restore your iPad with iTunes on a computer by default.

• Contacts app - cannot add a group contact

  Contacts app needs a bit of love programmer.

  I am trying to create a new group of contacts (* no * a "Smart group").

  I created the (file-> new group) group.  Tried to created in the section of the sidebar and "on my Mac" iCloud Same behavior.

  I select "All Contacts" and enter a keyword to search for. If the contact is not in the Contacts, but is in the Mail, you * must * "Add to Contacts" entry allows you to drag the contact into a group.

  You * might * be able to do it once or twice, but soon the Contacts won't you allow to drag anything else in the new group you created.

  If you leave Contacts and re - open, you can add one or two people, and then it stops once to answer more trolling.

  Contact groups can be quite practical, and I understand your message you are having a little trouble to create yours--you cannot drag contacts you want in the Group shortly after. I know it's important to be able to create these groups with all you need, and I have a few steps, we can try troubleshooting.

  1. Exit the Contacts App. Hold down the SHIFT key on your keyboard. While now Shift, re - open Contacts. Try to add to your group again.
  2. Restart your Mac. Click on the menu  Apple in the upper left of your screen, then select "Restart" in the menu dropdown. When the computer is back on, Contacts open and try to add to your group again.
  3. Test of a new user account. This will help determine if there is no data that could cause a conflict. Instructions on the configuration and test in a new user account can be found in the article from the link below.

  4. Try to create your group in Mode without failure. Use the following article to help get into Safe Mode.
