'QmlDocument' has no member named 'createRootNode.

Hi all

I just started the development in BB 10 using cascade / C++,.

And I followed the tutorial first turorial since the Developer Portal.

It took me around to days to handle the Simulator/IDE and the vertual ofcourse machines.

Anyway, the issue is when I try to add features to it

appPage = qml-> createRootNode();

I got this error

'QmlDocument' has no member named 'createRootNode.

Now tell me one thing if the declaration and manufacturers or other parties are responsible then why its unable to find the remaining mart or methods the same class?

E.g.

AbstractPane * root = qml->() createRootObject;

It worked perfectly fine.

Please help me in this regard.

Dear RIM, I really appriciate your efforts to completely redesign the operating system from the ground up.

But please make sure that a developer doesn't waste time in these things of configurations. I know that many are well aware of these but if I worry I am the base of XCODE and not much more familiar with Eclipse.So it's like wasting time in those things that can be used to create large applications.

Kind regards

Diagne

They got rid of createRootNode with Beta3, createRootObject now is the good method to use.

  • Workaround to Essbase alias member naming restrictions

    Hi - I was wondering if there is no way I could start an alias of members of the Essbase BSO cube with a parenthesis? I see that it would be good to know. ")" Thank you!

    Still on the list as a limitation in 11.1.2.4, and I don't know of a workaround. You will need to come up with an alternative format.... you could make the member name alias followed by something in parentheses (for example).

  • The use of RASENTRY for checkmark all available devices

    Hello

    I am trying to install a new entry of Ras via RasSetEntryProperties, which works fine, but I can't find a way to ensure that all available modems are disabled in the DUN Properties dialog box.

    The RASENTRY struct has a member named szDeviceName and this will check the modem, whose name has been provided, but I do not know how to approach more than one modem with this.

    I tested check all other modems in the dialog connection properties and then ran RasGetEntryProperties to see if something has changed in the RASENTRY struct but there is no difference.

    I looked also RASDIALPARAMS and RASSUBENTRY, but I don't think they apply in this case.

    Any suggestions on how to achieve this are appreciated.

  • Error in MediaPlayer

    I'm doing something wrong here? I copied the example and you get the error:

    'class bb::multimedia:MediaPlayer' has no member named 'setSource.

    MediaPlayer mp(this);
            mp.setSource("/path/to/media.mp3");
            mp.play();

    No idea why it has no member named setSource? I seized semiautomatic on mp. and there setSoruce their.

    I'm also including:

    #include

    using namespace bb::multimedia;

    In R6, to use the MediaPlayer API, all the following libraries had to be bound: lbbmultimedia, lmmrndclient, lstrm and lasound.
    For R9, the following library is sufficient: lbbmultimedia.

  • Issue of DB in refreshment...

    I have a planning APP1 application. I need to brush up on another application with a dimension called 'Cost_Cen' of APP1 APP2. The application APP2 has a member named "No_CC", which has the rate and is not present in APP1. When I make migration LCM of the standard of the "Cost_Cen" dim APP1 APP2 without getting a refresh of the database in the planning, members are automatically pushed to the cube Essbase which translates to lose the 'No_CC' Member and APP2 data.

    Can you please guide if I'm missing something.

    Yes the update is done automatically, so basically, you'll need to make sure that your file LCM has members you need or you can also use the outlineload utility to load members you will have the options of fusion and to update or not.

    See you soon

    The filesystem (vmhgfs module) driver is used only for the shared folder

    feature. The rest of the software provided by VMware Tools is designed to work

    regardless of this function.

    If you want the shared folders feature, you can install the driver of

    running vmware-config - tools.pl again after making sure that gcc, binutils, make

    and your kernel sources are installed on your computer.

    These packages are available on the installation of your distribution CD.

    [Press the Enter key to continue]

    As Barney42 pointed out, this question comes with the new kernel 3.13.0 - 46. And indeed helped me to find a workaround:

    Tools can be patched manually. In vmhgfs.tar, inode.c d_alias should be replaced by d_u.d_alias put it back to the tar and then recompile tools.

    Here is a script that does this (tested on ubuntu 32 bit 14.04, vmware workstation on a windows host 11.1):

    #!/bin/sh -x
    cd /usr/lib/vmware-tools/modules/source
    tar xf vmhgfs.tar
    grep -q d_u.d_alias vmhgfs-only/inode.c && echo "already patched" && exit 0
    sed -i -e s/d_alias/d_u.d_alias/ vmhgfs-only/inode.c
    cp -p vmhgfs.tar vmhgfs.tar.orig
    tar cf vmhgfs.tar vmhgfs-only
    vmware-config-tools.pl -d -m

    NOTE: This makes incompatible tools with older versions of the kernel, i.e. 3.13.0 - 45.

    (Original post at askubuntu)

    However, @VMware-team, please do run again out of the box, or submit a patch for the Linux kernel. You are a large business, should be no problem.

  • 6.5.5 workstation does not compile with the 2.6.37 kernel (os11.4)

    Hi all

    I have to stay with VMware Workstation 6.5.5 because of my lack of EAP robot. 6.5.5 workstation has worked well with a patch on openSUSE 11.3. Now I want to migrate to oS 11.4. But I could not find a patch to date. If someone knows something about a patch or how to solve the error message following (ioctl to the end), then please send me the Info:

    I wrote a patch for the kernel 2.6.37.1 - 1.2. Now, all modules compile without error. But the application does not start!

    Error message:

    / usr/bin/VMware: line 31: 1372 Segmentation fault "$BINDIR" / vmware-modconfig - appname = "VMware Workstation" - icon = "vmware-workstation.

    Someone at - it ideas? Any help is the apprecated!

    The patch file and the output of the compiler are attached.

    Thanks a lot for the patch! Works very well with 6.5.5 on suse 11.4 (2.6.37.1 - 1.2 - desktop)

    Search for your VMWARE_USE_SHIPPED_GTK = yes environment variables

    When that was settled, I had the same problem (segmentation fault). Set to = no or been completely just unplugged

    Hope this works for you, as your patch worked for me

    The fast network (vmxnet module) device driver is used only for our quick

    network interface. The rest of the software provided by VMware Tools is

    designed to operate independently of this function.

    If you want the active fast network driver, you can install the driver

    by running vmware-config - tools.pl again after making sure that gcc, binutils,

    brand and your kernel sources are installed on your

    machine. These packages are available on the installation of your distribution CD.

    Complete generation failure report was attached.

    Any ideas when we have an updated which will build on the latest kernel WMWare tools or how can I fix?

    Necator americanus-NB https://bugs.Launchpad.NET/Ubuntu/ source/open-vm-tools /bug/598542

    Experience, both VMWare and Parallels tend to do updates to their tools to release the release of these operating systems is set up.

    There is also a chance that the version of the kernel or X may be updated as new builds of Ubuntu 10.10 become available. I guess that they do not want to spend time to update tools and then find two weeks they need to do it again.

    If your spending a lot of time using UNIX/Linux product beta, I would recommend running VirtualBox for those, as the tools are updated more quickly. Just be sure to not try and run a VirtualBox VM and a VMWare Fusion virtual machine at the same time - you will get a Mac OS x kernel panic.

    Hello!  I started this thread on the other forum you mentioned.

    I have not used the player, but here's a patch for VMware Workstation 6.5.2 for Linux 2.6.30 kernel:

    http://communities.VMware.com/thread/208963

    This should help with problems of module on 2.6.30.  I tested on Linux 2.6.30 - rc4.

    Player and Workstation share the same modules?
