• Qosmio G20-139 digital TV. [TNT] Freezes

  Hi all
  Just had a G20-139... and I love it! BUT having a problem with Digital Tuner. The digital picture freezes for a few seconds at a time. and sometimes, he says that he has lost the signal. However I know that the signal is good. When you look at it with my normal [TNT] tv. There is a slight delay in the image received on the G20.
  The image quality on the G20 IS SUPERB.

  You are right; Qosmio G20 is portable really nice. But why are you sure that the signal is good (strong) 100%? Did you use another digital tuner to compare the signal reception?
  Did you use MCE or a Qosmio Player?
  Maybe the digital tuner really loses the signal.

• Qosmio G20 - 139 problem - won't turn on no-help

  I had my Qosmio G20-139 since early 2006 and have had no problems with it so far.

  About a week ago I started having some blue screen error, I installed the latest driver updates etc and assumed that would cover all the problems. Today, however, my laptop goes off and I can't get it to power upward. The lights on the front, showing the power and battery etc, are lit, and when I press the power button it lights up usual blue, however, nothing else happens. No other light (eg. screen remote wireless, indicator hard disk etc.). The laptop seems to just unable to power on.

  I guess I wonder if there is a fix for this, or if I have to send the laptop.

  My main concern is that few of my files are backed up and I have a lot of photos and data, that I can't really afford to lose.

  Any help in this matter would be greatly appreciated. Even if someone would guide me towards a solution to recover files.

  From your description of the laptop turns off automatically.
  Perhaps this was caused due to internal temperature high more often than the laptop goes off to prevent the equipment from damage

  I don't very well if you get the laptop working again if some of the material is too bad Mr. I mean if processor or motherboard are affected while a replacement could help solve this problem.

  Well, it might be possible to remove the portable computer HARD drive and connect it to another computer using an external HARD disk controller.
  Then you should be able to access the HARD disk and back up data.

  Hi I have a question about the monitor function with the G20-139,

  I have an xbox 360 and would like to know if there is a way to use laptops screen to play on the 360 in high definition or composite mode using the monitor function. With the laptop came a composite cable at one end and a sort of headphone 3.5 mm at the other.

  If the manual indicates that only 2 GB are possible then you can move the RAM only to 2 GB (2 x 1 GB module)

  I thing the laptop supports the Intel 915 PM chipset and it supports 2 GB of RAM.

  When I try to update the firmware of my DVD Ram [uj - 846 s] on my g20-139. I doubleclick on the exe.prog and I get the message "target drive is not connected.

  I click on ok, then nothing more! There should be another box popping up for the prog run!

  Where did you get the firmware for the drive? Is there a particular reason why you want to do this?

  Please be careful about this. If you use non-Toshiba warranty for the drive firmware will be canceld.

  I get on well, until it starts to create a DVD. It only happens to 1%, then he rushes up to 100% and after about 30 seconds it says "dvd creation error".

  It is not easy to say what the problem is here, but in my opinion, you should try to use a third party burning application, try to create DVDs.

  I can recommend Nero Express. I tested it on Qosmio G20 and it works perfectly. I also have very good results with Ulead DVD MovieFactory 5. It works perfectly.

  I presume that some sounds is set to mute option. Please check the first volume control. I guess you are using a standard antenna in the port and that he cannot imagine that the audio signal is not there.

  Have you tried to remove the drive from Device Manager?
  If this is not the case, try to do this and then restart the laptop.
  After restarting again the operating system should recognize the drive again.
  Check if it helps.
