Qosmio E10: Japanese keyboard drivers?

Hello to everyone out there, I have a Qosmio E10/2kldew and I bought it at Yodabashi Shop in Japan last year. Unfortunately my package does not include a driver disk, or the fact that they include a windows recovery CD.

My question is, how to deepen the functionality of Japanese characters on the keyboard without using the REGIONAL options and LANGUAGE within windows. When my laptop was working first I was able to push a button under the escape key as my license type in Hiragana, Katakana or English respectively. If someone knows a link that will lead me to a driver for this I would greatly appreciate your help. I have everything else works perfectly on my pc now except for this.

Kind regards

Hey Japandy, here is a link to updates of the Japanese driver for the E10.

I couldn't find a good keyboard driver. I suspect because there is no need of everything!
On an original JPN XP, it should be acknowledged directly.
Later,.

BTW, I suggest you try the new Toshiba Virtual Sound coming out ;)

Just reinstalled my windows XP OS because the older operating system crashed.
Where can I download drivers for laptop E10-1KCDE?

    TIA

    Hello

The European driver Toshiba page provides the Win XP drivers for the Qosmio E10 PQE10E series.

Maybe I'm wrong, but I think the Dynabook Qosmio E10-1KCDE series seems to be a Japanese model.

So I'm not sure if XP drivers from the European page will run on this laptop model. However, you can try to install a single driver. Maybe you are a lucky man and pilots will be compatible.

    Welcome them

  • Information about the latest drivers for Qosmio E10 / F10 / G10

Hey all, I don't know if a used Toshiba computer support on the European site of bed this thread, but I hope of course.

Well it turns out that a little Japanese knowledge so I decided to go to the Toshiba Japan website, in the download section of pilot, and I was a bit shocked ^_^

For my Qosmio E10, I realized that most of the downloads from the European websites of Toshiba are outdated.

-There is a new version of the bios 1.70 (which improves stability with Intel chipset AFAIK) instead of on the site of the Euro 1.60. [I didn't try it because my machine is a French]

-New Nvidia video drivers! 57,82 versus 57,79 on the site of the Euro. [I tried and there are new presets for PC games]

-New driver tuner TV 1.0.2.6 versus 1.0.2.0 on the site of the Euro.
[I tried and what a TOTALLY SOLVED MY TV PROBLEMS CHECK, I can finally save all: PAL, SECAM & NTSC without huge flicker that plagued the 1.0.2.0 version]

-Toshiba offers 'Toshiba Virtual Sound' for owners of the E10 to the Japan. (in Europe, we still have the "Windows Media player SRS WOW" plugin) [I tried and it is a fantastic software, improvement of the sound is great with great presets, you won't believe what you get for your Harman/Kardon after installation of this!]
It has the great advantage of working for all the Windows programs, not only in WMP as the fact the plugin 'SRS WOW' we have in Europe.

As you can see there are a lot of new drivers that we, owners of European Qosmio, would really benefit.

But there's something interesting that you should know about:
Drivers Toshiba E10 euro site are also outdate compared to other Qosmio models pilots from the Euro site!
    For example:
-The pilot of his "Soundmax", is a version of 3890 in section E10 and 5160 in the section of the G20!
It's exactly the same chipset, so it is of course compatible and should also be in the section of the E10.

-L'Intel LAN driver "INtel PRO 100 VE" is version 7.1 in the section of the E10 and 8.0 in the section of the G20.

-L' utility development of photo is the version 2.4.0.0 for E10 and 2.7.0.2 for the G20.
P.E.U. is a key point for Qosmio because he is directly responsible for the quality of image engine Qosmio!)

I think it's a hassle to go to the other models Qosmio download section to find the latest drivers for our machines.
Qosmio E10 is a year old and is a fantastic (and expensive ^^) piece of hardware, Toshiba please, update the drivers at the latest as soon as you can.

It's about the E10, but if you have a F10, G10, I'm sure you can do the same thing as me and go see the download section of the F20, G20, etc... and you will find the latest drivers and downloads for your machine!

    As for now, I really hope that Toshiba would be the BIOS for EURO Qosmio E10 1.70. (For Japanese E10, it is located here: http://dynabook.com/assistpc/download/modify/bsqse102/index_j.htm?qry=.%2F%3Ffunc%3Dpi%26category%3D1310 20% 26keyword % 3Dqosmio % 26cpg %3 D 50% 26session %3 D 027063644820 20051)

If a moderator of this forum is able to convey this message to the person concerned to Toshiba, it would be extremely useful too ^^

    Thanks for reading.

    Hello.

Thanks for this information. It seems that you are passionate about Qosmio :)
Well, I think that the Japanese unit models differ a bit like a European models also the utilities and drivers. It of strange that the other drivers work correctly but
I'm sure that if the new driver, tools and utilities are available for European units you will find this on the site of Toshiba Europe.

Can you help me where to get drivers for this model Qosmio E10/1KCDE?
My laptop has a TV tuner & portable DVD player, but now it does not work after that I installed Vista Ultimate.
Can you help me how to fix it. ???

    Thank you...

If I remember well Qosmio E10 is not supported in Vista.
Please check the Toshiba download page and make sure that the Vista drivers are available or not.

If this isn't the case, then you have the problem. You can try to identify the hardware components and check the manufacturers support page.
Can you please send number of exact model of your laptop?

  • Hot chocolate spilled on my keyboard - Qosmio E10

I poured a small amount of hot chocolate on one side of my Qosmio E10. Oops!

Since I gave it more than 24 hours to turn out to dry out and I also disassemble the keyboard to wipe - there was some residue dried hot chocolate in it. I'll try to put it on again in a while to see if the keyboard works now (it stopped completely, just make sounds beep-beeps), and did a search online for alternative keyboards...

Does anyone have any other suggestions before as I have buy a keyboard? And if I do, how do I do to install? It's just a matter of take the type chip out thing, and put a new one in and then screw everything back?

    Thank you!

In the worst case, your motherboard or RAM module are dead. The tone at the beginning of the boot order is displayed, because detected a problem on the motherboard.
There are several times my girlfriend spilled a coke on my keyboard. Computer laptop didn t start and I thought that it s a serious issue, but I ve eliminated a RAM and Notepad starts very well.

However, check your machine again and maybe he will start correctly.

  • Drivers Win XP Pro and install a command of Qosmio E10

    Hello
I recently bought Qosmio E10 in Korea. The OS is Korean Win XP Home. I would like to change, so I guess I have two options:
    1. get a restore in English CD. But I read that Toshiba has the strange rule do not give the CD of restoration of another language. I wrote to them, they answer for now.
2 install Win XP Pro myself (I have only this license). In this case, the question should be able to get all the drivers I need. I found good drivers in several places:
On http://www.toshiba.co.kr, but I worry that these drivers are for Korean XP.
    The other place is http://eu.computers.toshiba-europe.com/cgi-bin/ToshibaCSG/download_drivers_bios.jsp
In this place, most of the drivers is for Media Center Edition. There are drivers for XP Pro, but they are not so many and there is no order of installation. There is for example, no NVidia driver, this driver is available for the media center. Maybe I can use Media center drivers on XP Pro?

So my question is: do I have to use drivers and and what order to get a good working XP Pro. It would be good to know where to download QosmioUI. I found the Linux player and I install it, but I also want to have the drive in Windows.

    Hello

As far as I know that the software is delivered on laptop and if you buy a laptop, you automatically buy OS and license for use. This means that you can not order a DVD of recovery on another language. Qosmio E10 comes with Windows MCE2004 SP1a.

The only possibility is to install the Microsoft Windows XP (full version, with or without MCE) operating system, and then install all the necessary drivers, tools and utilities separately.

For the English language you can find them on http://eu.computers.toshiba-europe.com topic support & downloads.

  • Need to drive recovery for my Qosmio E10

I need to recover my Qosmio E10 but cannot find my disk.
Toshiba won't sell me a new, I need to locate one, unless there is another way to achieve a recovery, please help.

Qosmio E10 is old enough laptop model, and I imagine you will not get a new one from Toshiba, but you can install your own version of the OS. Just install OS using the facilities of Microsoft CD.
All necessary drivers, tools and utilities that you can find on Toshiba support page under http://eu.computers.toshiba-europe.com > support & downloads.

  • Japanese keyboard on windows 7 ultimate (Hiragana)

with the Japanese keyboard on windows 7 ultimate, there you in katakana of default type.  It's incredibly boring, katakana is almost worthless when it comes to Japanese words how can I switch to write in hiragana?  IT IS NOT Microsoft IME no please do not post solutions for EMI or tell me to use IME in romanji are even more useless because it is a major crutch and even a barrier to learning the language.

    Hello

I suggest you go through the steps and check.

    Keyboard shortcuts

ALT-~ (tilde): Cycles between kana and direct entry mode
ALT - SHIFT: Travels of available languages
ALT-CAPS_LOCK: Past in katakana input mode
CTRL-CAPS_LOCK: Past in hiragana input mode
SHIFT - ALT: Allows you to switch between English and Japanese.
Control - ~: Switches between the current entry mode and the English mode within the Japanese IME.

TIP: It is tedious to switch between input mode Hiragana and direct entry through the language bar. Instead, you can switch by pressing Alt + Tilde (key below ESC on your keyboard). So, if you need to type Japanese, press Alt + Tilde and start typing. When you are done press Alt + Tilde again to revert to English. To get the same result in Japanese mode, press Control - ~.

Somehow my Japanese keyboard has became corrupt... when I typed the letters out wrong (eg. I bcame 5; o became 6, etc..)

In any case, I need to know where to download the driver of my laptop keyboard. The operating system (xp sp3) has several drivers for Japanese keyboards, but all are two keyboards Japanese 101, 102, 106, 109 key: my laptop has only 84keys or so.

Where can I download the correct driver? Lenovo has only downloads for the touchpad or the bios, neither of which helped.

    Thanks in advance.

    Hello and welcome,

sounds (eg. I bcame 5; o became 6, etc.) you press NumLock on your S9e

NUMLOCK is the blue LED of the middle (small house) near the button switch on...

  • Qosmio E10-102 - cannot boot from CD/DVD

    Hello

I have a laptop Qosmio E10-102 here. The hard drive is missing and I need to install the operating system on a new hard drive but I can't boot from CD/DVD. After the start of Qosmio screen, it shows "insert system disk in drive. Press any key when ready... ».

When I press F1, I get the 1.5 version of BIOS ACPI boot menu, but I can't change date, time and the password. The boot priority is HDD-> FDD-> CD and I can't change it. The manual says to hold F12 during initialization, but this has no effect. Even by pressing the 'c' key, the disc does not start.

I tried to put the hard drive in a laptop and install there, but detects the Windows installation disc, that's not Toshiba laptop.

    No idea how to fix?

    Hi Napto,

The CD/DVD drive is correctly listed in the BIOS? You see the model number of your player? Usually, this should be possible

And what installation disc, you are starting? You use Microsoft disc or Toshiba Recovery disk?
Maybe the current disc is scratched

  • Qosmio E10 need repair, but I am not agree Exchange motherboard

    Hello world.

    Since 2004, I have my Qosmio E10.
I bought in the Uk, but I used in Europe & Brazil.

But he has a little problem always over heating the cooler sink fan never stop work or stop if you choose internet, as well as sometimes to turn off my cell phone right way without no reason what become too hot.

But still works fine if I not give place and paid for this and normal attetion used and try not be too hot.
But a few days ago, he starts making bad noise in paste fan, I don't know why but I try to clean the filtter and open the laptop and desconect all things. So big mistake now does not work any more the laptop.

So I get it and put for the repair of Office Toshiba Authorizate but I am now in Spain - Madrid.
Now they me say I need Exchange Moherboard, the bottons where switch to other functions. But not to mention the cooler fan was bad even why need to exchange all the buttons.

I ask why need to exchange all the thing and the answer was my screen was fault and who do more heating in the laptop. But I said that more heating afterwords, more If need to exchange this Toshiba sale for me a laptop with problems.

I just can't do that repair cost as 600euros.
In addition, I paid 30 euros to make you I was at Toshiba Authorizate of tick problems.

Now, I need help if anyone knows where I can repair my laptop in an honest Bureau in Madrid or not.

    Hello, my friend

It is not easy to give any comment to this. AFAIK services have specific instructions for Toshiba how to manage specific issues and if you have different opinions must be clarified in service directly.

I understand what you mean with honest office, but you must also understand that each service has a contract with Toshiba and must follow the instructions given. Similar is with the car services. It is infrequent that some defective parts can be repaired; only exchanged.

In any case, after Toshiba in Madrid support page there are 5 Toshiba authorized providers. Try to contact some of them and see what they say. The addresses and telephone numbers, you will find under http://eu.computers.toshiba-europe.com > support & downloads > find an ASP.

    Good luck!
