Qosmio E10: Start: problems with MCE

I have problems with media center on my E10. I recently had a new keyboard to this topic & since she came back I was not able to get in media center, all I get is a white screen until I press ctrl, alt, del & then I can see the Green media screen but am unable to do anything else. Can someone help me please?

Keyboard is changed by the Service partner? What type of problem do you have with him?
If it has been modified by partner service contact with them. They are responsible for, your laptop should work properly again.

    Hi Paul

One of my friends has laptop Qosmio and I had the opportunity to check this device. Beautiful part of material.

On his unit, everything works fine. I checked the settings of MCE almost all because I was very interested in this topic. I didn t find something that can be like the issue you described.

In my opinion if there is a problem after installing the OS using the recovery CD you should contact your local dealer or service partner. I'm sure that your device has a valid warranty and if there is a serious problem the warranty will cover all costs.

  • Windows XP starts problems with Satellite M30

My M30 has operated for two years until a few days ago when he suddenly would ' t restart after running a Microsoft security update. He gave me different boot in safe mode options, normally, etc., but none of them work.

I was told that if I use my recovery DVDs. It will clean my drive hard and with him all my files. I understand that my Windows XP software is on this DVD - I certainly don't have a disk full. It is true that I will not have the opportunity to try to repair or to cure the problem and if so will it buy an OEM Windows XP and install it separately? Or should I do something else entirely?

Can anyone give me any help would be appreciated.

    Thank you

    Hello

Tried set your windows to an earlier point of your 'system-recovery-point' that appears with the options-> boot in safe mode - boot in safe mode with network - etc.etc...

It this fails, then you need to recover your entire system.

In the first, true it s: you can't heal or repair your system with the recovery dvd, you can just reinstall your entire system and you have an operating system as the first day after you bought this machine.

So, your only choice will be to reinstall your system to correct it, and to avoid the installation of EACH update to Microsoft because I had a lot of problems with some updates that causes my machine to do things like non-boot or some software crashes. It s better to stay informed about updates and install them just after you verified that the isn´t of update affecting your system stability or performance.

To back up your files and recover your system, that you have to do following things:

You said that your system is not initialized, but you need your files.
Just take a UBCD4Win (http://www.ubcd4win.com/) from the Internet and initialize with this CD. You will have access to your files with this WindowsPE on CD and you will be able to back up your data on a USB drive or burn your stuff on the CD.
Now, you need to start the recovery cd and let the automatic installation script do the rest. It will delete your entire hard drive and reinstall the system. After that, you can put the data saved to your hard drive.

I hope that I might be able to help you. If you have any other questions just ask.

    Welcome them

  • Starting problem with the gray screen on iMac

    Hello everyone

I'm a bit puzzled with a problem I'm having with my iMac 27 "a model late 2009, bought in early 2010, I had built at the time with 8 GB ram, 2 TB HD and fastest i7 Quad core processor available at the time.

I'm running El Capitan, and all wise OS is perfectly up to date.

The other week, after a systematic restart, I have a gray screen and little else.  Another reboot and everything was "normal", so I did not concern me unduly.

Today, after that the Mac had been idle for a time during a call, the screen fell asleep as usual (I do not SLEEP the computer itself), but during his return and touch the SPACEBAR and key "ESC", the screen remains black.

So I made a forced shutdown and restart.

I get the screen gray and normal startup (no other sounds) chime followed by the apple logo and the startup progress bar.  He gets to halfway through the long, and then instead of bring to the top of the login page, it's just going to a gray screen Uni.

So I restarted in safe mode, OK and ran disk utility a couple of times - at the first crossing, he noted, there a problem with the map of partition which can cause problems starting, but on the second passes and the following, everything has been noted to be OK - and the SMART status of disk has been verified.

After a reboot - the same question as above - of carillon, gray screen with the apple logo, progress bar and then just a gray screen.  I did another secure boot and re-run of disk utility, rebooted into recovery mode and run disk utility.  And again, no problems reported.

Another reboot and the issue was always there.

So this time I rebooted into recovery again mode and downloaded a new installation of El Capitan.

Unfortunately, there is no set - it is always start on a gray screen after the startup chime, the apple logo and progress bar.

I have also removed all my account account startup items and disconnected all USB devices.

I'm a bit lost for what to do next to be honest!

Is there anything else I can do software wise, at home, or is it time for the repair material re shop perhaps?

Thank you very much for your words of wisdom and support

    Kind regards

    John... :-)

    John here again: :-)

Just a quick update which may help to determine what the problem is: I restarted in safe mode, after the reinstallation of the operating system was unable to initialize properly - grey screen again.

However, as I have a home network, I found that I can not connect on the network with my MacBook Pro to the iMac, see all my files user on the iMac and even copy them across to the MacBook Pro with no problems.

Everything on the iMac is saved via Time Machine on a Western Digital Firewire HD 3to.

I also have uncompressed manual 'straight' copies of my music, movies, documents folders, etc, for an old time Capsule, currently acting as a bridge to my ethernet network wireless, and provide additional backup for those critical files - my music for example is ripped 350 odd CD, all legally purchased in ALAC on iTunes on the iMac - which represents a couple of months of work... lol... no way I want to lose that!

So I'm a bit of a loss.  Disk utility reported no problem with the drive... I can boot into safe mode and recovery, but normal mode 'mode '... I always get the chime, the screen with apple logo and progress of the gray bar, then goes to just a gray screen instead of the login page.

    Help!

My beloved Einstein had a hiccup!

All comments appreciated and thanks again - hope this extra info helps

    Kind regards

    John... :-)

  • Starting problems with Satellite Pro M40 running Windows XP SP2

The computer suddenly shuts off when I was with her. I turned back on it and all I get now is a screen that apologize for any inconvenience and telling me that Windows is not started successfully, with options to start IE in their different ways.

Trunk / normal etc. I tried them all without success, if anyone has any ideas I would be very grateful.

    Hello

    > Safe/normal etc. I tried, without success,
Because of your statement in the first post, I guess that the laptop does not start correctly and you can not access the windows.
In this case, I recommend simpler OS reinstall from the recovery CD.

If this procedure fails, the malfunction of equipment is possible in such cases, it is not easy to say what could be wrong.
But we should concentrate on the memory and HARD drive
However, if you have n t own resources for troubleshooting I recommend to contact a technician for additional help.

    Good luck

  • Qosmio G30-126 - problem with the start screen

My laptop was working perfectly until I suddenly found starting with sound activation boot but without any image appearing on the screen until I got the windows login page in which the image appeared with its normal perfect resolution.

The operating system is Windows 7, which worked smoothly, with all the drivers toshiba, installed more than 3 months, and the device was normally closed the time before the problem occurred.

I tried to use the restore disc but the problem is that I can't see something! the computer works, but the screen is black as if the laptop is turned off completely.

I tried to connect an external one LG LCD but it gave no results, but only a screen empty.

I really need help in this issue that this notebook contains all of my work and I very much count on it.

    Hello

Can enter you the BIos (F2 on startup)?

    > I tried to connect an external one LG LCD but it gave no results, but only a white screen

However, I think it is the dysfunction of the graphics card as your laptop work without any image that appears. In this case, you must contact the ASP (SAV) in your country:

  • Qosmio G30 (PQG31) - problem with cloned hard drives

    Hi all!

    * Qosmio G30-154 * (* PQG31 *).

Demo of the Qosmio has 2 hard drives with XP MCE (32 bit) installed on the primary.
    The RAID parameters are JBOD.
    BIOS is "newer" 3.90

I would try to upgrade the drives (without installing any OS) and... have a problem!
BSOD "Stop 0x0000007B" after 'clone with resizing' for the main HARD disk.

I read on [drivers Toshiba RAID | http://forums.computers.toshiba-europe.com/forums/thread.jspa?threadID=48489] also [how to integrate the AHCI driver when installing Windows XP | http://aps2.toshiba-tro.de/kb0/HTD9401AN0000R01.htm] and (or)
[SATA and AHCI Intel Matrix Storage Management Software: "the installation program found no hard disk units installed in your computer" Error Message during Manual Installations | http://aps2.toshiba-tro.de/kb0/TSB7B020R0000R01.htm], but I don't want to install OS, I want to keep intact my OS work.
F6 (for all usb drivers) is not available to boot OS, sorry.

"cloned" drive is in line with the correct name of made in the BIOS. "Cloned" secondary drive works (with old primary school). How to get access to the new primary OS and loading cloned? Please, any ideas?

    Thank you.

    Hello

I think that the system cannot boot to the new HARD disk as the partition where the system is installed, was not marked as bootable system partition.

I recommend to insert the previous HARD drive and to start the laptop.
HARD drive new, cloned could be connected as an external HARD drive to a USB port.

Then you should go to disk management (right click my computer - manage-> management-> disk management computer)
Here you can see the HARD internal disk and the 2nd HARD drive connected to the USB port
Right-click on the partition (2nd HARD drive) where the Win XP has been installed and choose the partition as the system partition and mark it as active.

Then you could change the HARD drive again and could power the device in place. Usually, the system should boot to the top of the new marked system partition.

  • Qosmio X 300-problem with the graphics driver

    Greetings,

My X 300 has worked very well and I am using 186 drivers of Toshiba (Windows 7) and completely by the book. Now, my computer is start planting as much UNLESS I have uninstall the graphics drivers from Toshiba, because then it is stable. Sometimes the driver resets, the computer sometimes go to BSOD immediately (he does eventually in any case). Thus, for the moment, it has no driver installed, but driver VGA standard that comes with Windows 7.

The question is what do I do? A X 300 without proper graphics drivers is a sports car with pedals.

Any input would be much appreciated!

    Best regards
    Johan

PS. the warranty has expired, so no free service.

    Hello

Have you noticed the same problem on Vista preinstalled Toshiba version?

At the moment, I can t imagine that the display driver itself is really the problem because pilots are pre-tested by Toshiba and I didn t has seen similar topics here in the forum about display driver not work. Maybe another program is causing this problem

What you can do is to test the Qosmio X 500 display driver. There is a newer version. You should check this.

By the way: since when did you notice this problem? I ask this question because a restore of the system to an earlier point could also be helpful

  • Qosmio F60 - starting problems

After trying to start my computer, it gives me 2 options. Start windows normally, difficulty of windows (or whatever it says).

If I choose start windows normally, it displays the icon of windows load, 5 minutes later, a blue screen appears to crash my computer, then restarting.

If I select windows fix, it shows just the icon, goes to a white screen where I can move the cursor, but don't select anything.

If I try to boot from the CD drive, it says press any key, what I do, then shows loading files of windows, that ends, he goes to the windows loading icon, then a white screen with the cursor that I can move. Nothing seems to work for me, I would appreciate it if someone could help me with this problem. Thank you!

Sounds to me like a HARD drive malfunction.
What do you think of this?

I recommend that you check the HARD drive using a freeware tool
I read here in the forum about software Drive Fitness Test its freeware and Muriel you to scan the HARD drive.

    I think you should do.

  • Starting problems with my Satellite C660

I have a problem starting my C660. Yesterday watched while I was using the computer, the screen is black and I got a message on "Crash dump... something..." I don't have the time to read... I rebooted the computer and made a recovery of windows startup.

But now when I start the computer, I get a message that begins with licens information and then there search Bot file... and sometimes it starts and sometimes it says 'no operating system found'...

What should do? I created start restore backup on a hard drive of the extern... but not drive... Of Toshiba recovery media... Is it possible for me to use that if everything goes wrong, or do I need a DVD with recovery?

Please help me :) I'm writing my master's thesis and have no time for computer problems.

    > . Sometimes it will start and sometimes it says 'no operating system found'...

It looks a bit like a malfunction of the HARD drive if you're lucky then that the system has been destroyed and new installation OS should fix this

    > What to do? I created start restore backup on a hard drive of the extern... but not drive... Of Toshiba recovery media... Is it possible for me to use that if everything goes wrong, or do I need a DVD with recovery?

I guess this backup can be used if the Windows operating system is running, but don t think you will be able to use it to reinstall the whole system. I think you need to use the recovery disc or a DVD of Microsoft's own.

The Toshiba recovery disc can be ordered here and is not really expensive:

    Hello

I recently downloaded and installed Assist tool on Windows xp installed costs. The problem is that it does ' t have the same characteristics
as she had on the old Windows mce system. I think here to optimize the tool to control the work of the cpu (in the tab optimize).

Can anyone help with this? See you soon.

This certainly isn't problem Toshiba Assist. Problem is that you have not installed all other toshiba tools and utilities.
Toshiba tool is small tool where you can find shortcuts to all other tools so when you install the missing tool, they will be shown here.
Check it please what lack us and install it.

  • Qosmio G40-108: problem with the highest starange display resolution

I just had mine but on its highest resolution all Web pages have these 11 blocks rectangular semi, barely visible, only the bottom, each about an inch long, is this normal and should I send it to the object of an investigation?

    Hello

It is very nice to hear that you already have the new Qosmio notebook. I can't say much about your problem because without a screenshot, it is not easy to understand what you mean exactly. On my Qosmio G30 (with the same HD resolution) I have no problem at all. Because of this I can't really understand what the problem is here.

If possible send a link where we can see what it looks like. Your description is not enough.
BTW: have you noticed that on web pages only?
