Qosmio F15-AV201: using TV to the Netherlands

Hello

I am new to Europe and have a question. I could use my Qosmio F15-AV201 I bought in the United States in a digital video recorder in Europe?
I know that US has NTSC and all the signal here is PAL. I know that the TV tuner is NTSC, but could I use the RCA inputs to record PAL?

TIA,
Jim

Hello

I think that if the tuner supports only the NTCS mode so you will not be able to receive all signals PAL.
I found a few topics here in the forum about people who wanted to watch television in different European countries. This is not possible because the different European brokers use different signals PAL.

Someone suggested that you can watch TV on the Qosmio player in the same country where the laptop was purchased.

That's why I put t think you can use your internal TV receiver.
But maybe this works with the TV decoder.

I agree with kody. Of course, it is not easy to say with certainty why this happens. Who tore your laptop? Service or only you?

To be honest, I think you did it alone. Have you used maintenance manuals?

  • Pilots of its Qosmio F15-AV201-R

Anyone know where to find the drivers of its Qosmio F15-AV201-R? I uninstalled XP Media Center and installed XP Pro. Since the reinstallation, I got no sound and can't seem to locate the audio drivers anywhere.

I tried to install the audio driver for the Qosmio F15-AV201 (not), but they don't work - avial downloads for Qosmio F15-AV201-R do not understand the (strange) sounds.

Is it possible to extract it from the recovery disk?

Any suggestion would be appreciated =)

    Hello

It's real strange model specifications and on the Toshiba Qosmio F15-AV201 - r support page, there is no audio driver available. It is really strange.

If you wish, you can check Toshiba U.S. forum and ask there. You'll most likely find answer here. This Forum discussed mainly on the European and Australian laptop models.

  • Qosmio G30 (PQG31E) - reinstall Windows from the original disc

I bought my Qosmio several years back, and I think not, it is still covered by any warranty.

Recently, my system files on the hard drive of Windows (C :) has been corrupted (or the hard drive has bad sectors; whatever), and chkdsc crashes when I'm trying to fix it.) I would like to reinstall Windows, however, when you start resuscitation DVD, the installation will stop with the following error message:
"Error: setenv file x:\setenv.ini or x:\tools\setenv.ini not found".

Indeed, the file doesn't seem to be present, when you look at the filesystem x:\ from the console. However, it is present when viewing the Windows DVD.

I found after help here: http://aps2.toshiba-tro.de/kb0/TSB0302U10000R01.htm, however, bios of Qosmio is not as bios of the Satellite. I can't find the settings provided.

How to fix this error in Qosmio?

Qosmio G30 is old laptop model, and may not be covered by the standard warranty. He's too old.

This Toshiba document, which describes certain problem more recent Satellite L500D Pro and Satellite L550D Pro, has nothing to do with your old laptop Qosmio.

I also believe that the HARD drive can be troublemaker to verify HARD drive using different tools and following the advice of s of Akuma.

  • Qosmio G15: Green vertical lines on the screen

All started an ordinary day, when I was playing music on my iTunes.
All of a sudden my screen went black and the music stopped, but my power button is always blue. Since then, whenever I try to start it, it goes on the Qosmio screen and Windows XP screen and plays the startup sound, but there all those green vertical lines on the screen. And then it goes black and tsays in this way.

I was able to use Windows VGA (whatever that means) with lines all over the screen, but I am not able to start normally. Does anyone have any suggestions or have had the same problem? Please help me!

  • Qosmio G20 - How can I get the tuner to work?

    Hello

I have a Toshiba Qosmio G20. :) It has windows xp professional installed.

I donnot have a remote control. I'm from South Africa.

-Do I need a remote to tune to a frequency of psecific?
-If no, how I tune to a specific frequency without remote?
-How to access the user interface of the Qosmio player?

    Hello

    How do you watch TV?
Which player Qosmio do you have?
AFAIK the Qosmio Player versions 4.3 and older do not support the DVB - T signal.

Also I m not very good if you want to be able to receive TV channels in South Africa if this Qosmio G20 was released in European countries.
The point is that the internal tuner would not receive the signals due to the different PAL/NTSC settings.

    Regarding scanning of channels:
    Please check this thread:
    http://forums.computers.Toshiba-Europe.com/forums/thread.jspa?MessageID=25430

In order to run the scan, you need to start the Qosmio player, press the F1 key and enter the Setup program.
Here, you can do a scan. You n t need the remote!

The other fact is that the Qosmio Player is not Windows-based applications and you cannot start if Windows. If Windows is running while you use MCE (Media Center) instead of Qosmio player.

  • Qosmio F15-201: old BIOS version required

Well, I changed my original BIOS and then ran into problems.
And I did not backup old.
    So I need a new.

Please help me on where it is located?
This is for a Toshiba Qosmio F15 201 with a GeForce fx 5700 with 128 MB of memory.

Here is some information on my card, it's a GeForce Go 5700 on an AGP interface and coming from Toshiba which offers a NV36 chipset and 128MB memory.

If someone even card please copy bios original file and sent...

    Thanks in advance.

    Hello

The laptop should generally run without problem after the update of the BIOS. The new update of the BIOS is improved and I put t know why you need an older version of BIOS.

I doubt that the questions that appear on your laptop might be linked to the new BIOS.

However, if you need an earlier version of BISO then you can also contact the ASP in your county and ask for these files.

  • Can I build and pay an iPhoto calendar to the Netherlands and let send them to a friend in Austria?

Can I build and pay an iPhoto calendar to the Netherlands and let send them to a friend in Austria?

No, the print products Apple store will provide only an address in the same country as the store.

The country of the billing address, delivery address and country of the store must match. Your AppleID and paying method/credit card must be valid in the country of the store.

You will need to order the AppleID, Austrian calendar of the Austrian Bank, using a billing address and credit card.

But it would be even safer to have the calendar on your own, you can check the print quality, before, so send it to the final beneficiaries.

Qosmio G20: I want to change the operating system, but I can't do it.

Please help me and I will be grateful

    Hello

Of course, you can change the operating system and install another I wonder what OS you prefer?  :|

I think that you can not install the new OS because the HARD drive is not visible. Am I wrong?
Fact is that the G20 series supports RAID functionality. You must install the RAID driver before you continue the OS installation procedure

The RAID driver can be downloaded from the European pilot of Toshiba page and should be included in the operating system using an external USB FDD drive.

  • Qosmio F50 - 10Z - use of several screens

    Hello world

I have a F50 - 10Z and various uses for a multi-screen configuration, not less of my work as a literature student.
Have at least two monitors by hand is very useful for writing the essay, I use one screen for the source material and the other for OpenOffice. In my downtime, I still prefer a multi-screen for photo editing configuration and the very small handful of games that support multiple monitors. I have to put it back the following:

    Laptop screen, screen 15.4 "capable of 1280 x 800
Two Proview MA - 982KC 19 "TFT capable of 1280 x 1024, the surplus of my old office
    A Samsung 40 "LE40A656 LCD HDTV capable of 1920 x 1080

I already know that I can connect either one of the monitors or TV and create an extended desktop, which I am at the present time, by aligning the monitors correctly in the Windows settings, which works surprisingly well and blew up between the very easy monitors. Otherwise I also know that I can have a monitor and TV is connected at the same time, creating two larger workspaces, the laptop can provide. What I can't do, is create a tri - or quad-monitor Setup. I would like to be following Office configurations, I set out that they would physically be in the Windows settings:

    Laptop TFT TFT

    _ TV
    Laptop TFT TFT

My main concern is the work area. Toshiba DynaDock seems the most sensible option. Its extra VGA port would allow me to launch the first setup (TFT, laptop, TFT)? I appreciate the DynaDock is unlikely to support multi-monitor games, and I therefore also examined the Matrox Triple Head digital 2 GB. Now that the DynaDock seems very affordable, even if only as a medium-term solution.

Provide a port replicator specific Qosmio Toshiba? I note that they exist for the other beaches, but they do not seem to a port replicator Port Qosmio from what I see. If they did, the DVI and VGA ports on a Port Replicator would be usable at the same time, allowing your desktop quad-monitor?

I would be very grateful for any help you can provide.

    Concerning
    CorporalG

    Hello

I think that there is no need to write much. On your Qosmio, you can connect an external device. TV or external monitor. If you want to use more than you need of external device like Dynadock.

So the answers to your questions:
    * Toshiba provide a port replicator specific Qosmio? *
    NO.

*.. commandeer the DVI and VGA ports on a usable Port Replicator simultaneously, allowing your desktop quad-monitor? *
Just for example: on the Toshiba port replicator, you can use a video output port. It is not possible to use two different video ports on the Port Replicator at the same time. The video signal can not be cut.

  • Qosmio F30-140 - where to get the Qosmio Recovey CD player?

    Hello world...

As you can see in the topic I will try to find the CD so I can install it on my laptop and use it watch movie?

How is - anyone help me?

    Thank you

    Hello

You can download it from the page of European driver of Toshiba.
Choose the Qosmio F20 and you will find the Qosmio Player 4.2.1WW

I think that it s an image that must be burned to the CD.
You can then use this drive in order to reinstall the Qosmio Player.

    See you soon
