Qosmio F60 - 10 q - Sound is crackling

Hello!

I bought a Toshiba Qosmio F60-10 q less that a year ago and after awhile I started having problems with my sound (the sound quality was very bad when the volume is higher than 50% and he made crackling noises etc. + my microphone wasn't working properly either).

I took it to the population of the warranty and they said they were diagnosed with a card his faulty and they would change it.

I waited about 2 weeks for the part to arrive and finally came back. Although they said they changed my sound card I'm not sure if that's even possible since I assume it's on board and my MAC differed not in makes me think they have changed entire motherboard or something like that.

Anyway, the laptop worked fine for 2-3 months and then it started having the same problems. I tried to think, but I really do not know if something specific triggered the problem. I had no time to consider new because I was in an exam session and I really need my laptop atm. My question is this:

Is a unusual problem and nobody knows what might be the cause of this? I mean if I'm doing something that I shouldn't be, and it is originally this sound card problems I can't really say what it is please any suggestion at all is welcomed!

Hello

> Well that they said they changed my sound card I'm not sure if that's even possible since I assume it's on board and my MAC differed not in makes me think they have changed entire motherboard or something like that.
Don t worry because everything was OK!
The sound card is fixed/soldered to the motherboard so it s just a sound chip on the motherboard and not actual card. Another MAC address would mean that guys have replaced the chip sound motherboard is also a new. :)

I can t tell why it happened again but it of the same problem, there is no other way wait for the replacement of the motherboard again. I mean, in the case where part of the material is assigned, you cannot do anything because you need professional help for the motherboard Exchange.

What you can do is update the audio driver, but I doubt that it could help you

In any case, I m that you can identify the problem with the technicians as soon as possible and they can tell you how long the repairs would take ;)

    Hello

I recently got my Qosmio F60 and I noticed that when I type, only really when I type fast, the computer will beep.
    It is found mainly around power key (between E and D & C, U, J & M).

When I type fast I have no doubt tend to hit the keys a little harder, but there are also times when I'm not pressure at all.
The sound is output from the speakers, and it does not occur when the sound is muted.
Anyone know what is that noise? He is curious and a bit boring.

I made a recording of the sound to give a better idea, the ringtone does not produce this frequent I just typed garbage really quick to make a beep a lot.
I didn't know where to download the audio file I just uploaded on mediafire.

    [Beep example | http://download468.mediafire.com/wbabftdtnf8g/451s4klhs5cb6l0/P3220045.mp3]

    Hello

Normally the laptop shouldn't t make noises when you type something so I think that it's something wrong with your laptop.

It of quite new if you recently so I send the whole device and request a new. I m sure that the seller can replace it with an another F60 which works perfectly.

By the way: I was not able to play the audio file, but it still shouldn't t make such beep so replace it with another. Then you can be happy ;)

  • Qosmio F60 - how to burn a DVD?

    Hi all
I recently purchased a Qosmio F60 as my first laptop and I am trying to burn a DVD. What is the normal burning time?

I am a total newbie to DVD burning (this is my first attempt) and I'm trying to burn a movie that I recorded on my desktop which is 53 minutes in length. I inserted the blank DVD in the drive and click "burn" and so far, it took 1 hour and 30 minutes, and it's only 27% full. Does this sound right?

All the basic information, tips, advice, suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Remember, I am a total newbie and need basic instructions!

    Thanks in advance.

    Hey Buddy,

The combustion speed is depending on the DVD player, burning speed and the data you burn. But 1 hour 30 minutes is too long, even you burn a DVD with 4, 7 GB of capacity with low burning speed.

What program you use for burning discs? I recommend Nero or CDBurnerXP freeware tool.
Also try different media, not all are compatible with all the drivers. I have good experiences with DVD-R from Verbatim and TDK discs.

  • Qosmio F60 - HDD and BIOS issues

I have a Qosmio F60. 1 months since purchase, and I'm having problems. I organize my questions for a better look.

    (1) if there is a new BIOS update, should I put to update mine? Mine is currently on 2.10, and the last is 2.50! And I know the change log, because I can't find it anywhere. : S

    (2) if I'm in the MBR, where there are two options (Windows 7, Ubuntu Linux) and I press the ESC key. The screen goes black, and the laptop fan is running at full speed noisy. The same thing happens if I reboot/hibernate Ubuntu. Also, this sometimes happen to the instance that I push the power button to turn on the PC, but this is rare.

    (3) my HARD drive creates serious noise. I think that all hard drives have, but I have to check if it is safe, and what could be the cause. The sound is little consecutive cracks when the HARD drive is reading.

    (4) the BIOS I found (2.50) is for the model no: PQF65-E, while mine is PQF65-L. I ran the .exe, and he identified my current BIOS without any compatibility issues. Although I don't actually flashed the BIOS, because I want to question 1) answered first.

    Thanks in advance

    > 1) if there is a new BIOS update, should I update mine? Mine is currently on 2.10, and the last is 2.50! And I know the change log, because I can't find it anywhere. : S

Well, if you have problems, then an update of the BIOS can be useful.
Here you will find an instruction how to do this:
    http://forums.computers.Toshiba-Europe.com/forums/Ann.jspa?annID=60

(> 2) if I'm in the MBR, where there are two options (Windows 7, Ubuntu Linux) and I press the ESC key. The screen goes black, and the laptop fan is running at full speed noisy. The same thing happens if I reboot/hibernate Ubuntu. Also, this sometimes happen to the instance that I push the power button to turn on the PC, but this is rare.

Sorry mate, but as I know Linux is not supported by Toshiba. So I can't say about concerns generally Linux could react a little bit different as a windows OS and of course the cooling modules could run differently also.

(> 3) my HARD drive creates serious noise. I think that all hard drives have, but I have to check if it is safe, and what could be the cause.
The sound is little consecutive cracks when the HARD drive is reading.

In your case I would always back up data on another HARD drive or a disk to be always on the safe side.
I mean the HARD drive can still die and it s better to have backups of backup.

  • Moan (beep) Qosmio F60

    Hey!

My Qosmio F60 making a very annoying beep. The source of this beep is about the left side of the keyboard under the Q, W, A, S buttons. It is only if the laptop do not have to work hard. If I play games or watch TV, the sound has disappeared.
    Anyone have the same problem?
Maybe you can help me solve this problem.
    Thank you

Start your laptop, enter the BIOS settings and leave it for a while. Can you hear that sound again?

To be honest, it is not easy to say with certainty what he can be, but if you can hear it over and over again, I think that you contact the nearest Toshiba service provider and ask for help. So you have the new notebook with valid warranty the repair will be free.

Some software related issue can be fixed easily but I assume that the described issue is material on the issue, then the best option is to contact the service and ask for help.

  • Can Qosmio F60 - I use my another Windows 7 disk to install?

I'll buy a Toshiba Qosmio F60 in the next few days and I have seen that comes with a 64-bit restore partition it is preinstalled with 32-bit. I was wondering if I can use one of my other Windows 7 Home premium 64-bit oem disc for installing windows 7 and use the product key on the back without voiding the warranty and validated it?

Because I like a beautiful clean Windows Installer without all that other stuff like the office tests and oem software.

Don't know if this is the right place or not but just sounded.

    Hello

Of course you can install Windows 7 yourself. Nobody says you have to use the preinstalled operating system from Toshiba! ;)

But the product key on the underside of the laptop can't be used with other drives. He touches s an OEM manufacturer and belongs to the Toshiba preinstalled operating system. If you do your own installation, you must have your own key!

In addition, I put t understand why you want to do. The preinstalled operating system contains, as a creator of disc, eco utility, applications etc. Everything you need and what you don t like just uninstall!

It is still problematic to discuss problems that sometimes occur.
Have you noticed this behavior on all the games you want to play or simply by more recent games?

While gaming, you use your laptop with power plan to high performance?

    Hi guys.

I have a TOSHIBA Qosmio F60 PQF65A-016002 and found no indication of how to enter the Bios.
I put to level my 8 GB memory and it is not working properly when I insert the new memory, so I need to see the settings. Installation of HW does not show me what I need to know.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

As I remember the Qosmio F60 supports BIOS Toshiba.
It's a little different and to access the BIOS press F1 or ESC after power on.

  • Need serial key of Windows 7 for the Qosmio F60 - 10J

    Hello

    Unmountable Boot Volume Windows 7

I need to reinstall my Qosmio F60-10J. Reference: PQF65E-007026FR
but my serial number windows 7
    disappeared.

I have the Toshiba serial number, how do I find information for windows 7?

    Thanks for your help.

Hi, I'm also in the same boat.

Try to do a HARD drive recovery, but my post got renegade to the subforum "valorisation" (where no one responds to the month) even though I submitted it specifically on win7 forum.
    A link for those interested:
    https://Forum.Toshiba.EU/showthread.php?88336

That's what I've learned so far...

Option a. You have the recovery disk media or a partition:
You're lucky and you won't need the product key anyway (it won't be asked during the installation it is 'embedded' kind of talk in image of toshiba).

Option b. You deleted the partition or replaced the drive and does not follow the manual where Toshiba claims that should have backed up the recovery partition that you probably didn't know that you had in the first place:
B1. Congratulations, you've reached 80% of the users of this forum which will remain unanswered!
Here's my sanity check even if the product key was visible on your sticker it would still "invalid" since win7 iso doesn't work for 'standalone' keys then the key to your Toshiba is "pre-installed", i.e. If you do not use the installation of official manufacturers, the I am afraid to say, the key that you have already paid is well... useless!
B2. But don't worry not toshiba has covered you! for an affordable price of 60 euros, they can send you the installation that you have already paid for.
... Wait there's more. Unless you don't have you can use the language option when you try to buy your recovery media. Perhaps, it is still ok if you are ready to learn to finish!

    Good luck ignoring!

P.S. for stealth Toshiba employees here: never underestimate the damage that an angry customer can bring to your brand!

  • Qosmio F60 - web browser SSL cecurity questions

I have a Qosmio F60 with all SSL certificate custom web browsers and security loading pages, if I refresh the page a few times constantly it loads but then will be the question once again.

I tried factory resetting the computer and the new facility, removed and reinstalled programs still the same issue.
thought it might be the date/time settings that had been arrested, but if all 100% in the bios and windows.

I thought that it is possible the RTC battery but the date/time settings are not change by themselves and everything seems fine, it would be useful to make a new battery rtc anyway?

If anyone has any ideas that might help, please do this done in my head!

    Thank you all

If the date and time is set correctly, you need not change the data and time but its recommended to load the defaults (F9) in the BIOS.

    Regarding the SSL certificate:
First of all the certificate SSL / Digital certificates ensure the safety of websites by encrypting sensitive data and to verify the identity of secure Web sites.
Usually, the site owner/administrator is responsible and must ensure the security of online communications.

In my opinion, you must make sure that all your web browsers are updated. I use two main browsers: Chrome and Firefox. In my opinion the best browsers you can use today...

  • Connection dial-up for laptop Qosmio F60/05F

    I need dial-up connection.
This external modem will work with Qosmio F60/05F laptop under Windows7?
Hadou none taken for phone cable, not dial-up modem not built inside this Toshiba laptop.

Visit your local dealer and buy the new external dial-up modem compatible with Win7 64 bit.
I assume that each of them should work properly. Just be sure that they are supported to 32/64 bit operating systems.

  • My Qosmio F60-159 GPUS support DirectX11

    I have a Qosmio F60 - 159 Tosibha with dedicated graphics card

    * Nvidia GeForce GT 330M 1 GB Ram
    * Intel Core i7 740QM 1.73 GHz
    * 8 GB of DDR3 memory @ 531 MHz
    * Windows Media Center 8.1 Pro 64-bit

What installation UNIT of ASSASSIN's CREED the answer me an error:

    * "You can start the game. "Your graphics card support DirectX11 or must not update drivers."

Can someone tell me if it has any solution or where I can download the drivers.
I installed the version of the 340.52 Geforce drivers and there is no upgrade.

I would also like to know if possible to change the GT 330 M graphics card on my computer the other superior.

    Thank you all

    GeForce GT 330 M isn't compatible directx 11
But as far as I know most media as the DirectX 10 games

In case your game mode supports also the X 10 Direct so you should be able to play this game.
In this case, you should check for these updates nVidia page
But the use of these drivers is at your own risk!

In the event that the game requires DirectX 11, what GPU does not support it.

    Hello

New laptops are available without disk recovery, but with the option of HARD drive recovery. How to install the OS by using HARD drive recovery option, you can find on http://aps2.toshiba-tro.de/kb0/HTD9102IR0000R01.htm

After completion of the own BONES, please create recovery discs using the preinstalled Toshiba Recovery Disk Creator. These disks can be used if the HARD drive recovery option does not work for some reason any.

    Good bye
