  All of a sudden my Qosmio G10 - 106 has started to show me purple stripes when I turn it on, it me does not start then I reinstalled Windows on the 2nd partition. This allowed me to start then, but the lines persist. Anyone had same problem and if so, please advise me a solution that I am not covered by the guarantee as it exprired last October.

  I have a G10-106 and you had for about 18 months. About 6 weeks ago, one of the hard drives began to fail - asked checkdisk all the time, and found errors. I have saved and replaced it with my old 40 GB of old toshiba laptop hard drive.

  Yesterday the computer started making strange clicking noises and I assumed it was the fan. Today it is squeal - sounded like a drill. I had checked it by a friend who fixes PC and he said all seemed well and it was a little more quiet - no screeching.
  2 hours later, it seems that the d drive disappeared. I used an adapter and tried to read it in a desktop computer, but it cannot be found.

  Surely if he failed he would always see as a disc? Also is there a way to recover my files? I had everything backed up on this 2nd disk and am now feeling so depressed as it seems that everything has been lost or destroyed. I don't know what to do now.

  I had HARD drive problem on my old 1900 satellite. One day, that the HARD drive had died suddenly. I wasn't able to boot up the laptop, even in safe mode. The HARD drive makes strange as noise running the Defragmenter tool. Connecting as external HDD on my second phone it was the same situation.

  Autour Googling, I found an interesting also called HDD Regenerator. He found many bad sectors on the HARD disk. If you want to try to do the same thing. I hope that you will be able to start HDD Regenerator because in my case, it was not able until I've erased the two partitions using partition magic.

  My Qosmio g10 primer not. I am getting white vertical lines on each side of the qosmio splash screen. If I try to boot from the drive, the screen turns white with a cursor blinking in the upper right.

  I have my toshiba QOSMIO G10 since 2005 and this year my chart just went bad for some reason, my bad I was my warranty had already expired, so I called Toshiba to inquire about the price of the motherboard as the graphics card is integrated with it.

  It was absurd VAT will cost me £630.00, I got frustrated and I decided to call Toshiba to make a complaint as a fact. They returned my call telling me

  PS This is my second Toshiba computer, I can tell you after I will love forever toshiba and I fell so happy and proud to have had bought my computer a respectable company like Toshiba.

  Gray hair and going bald of pulling hair. Bought Toshiba G10-106 Jan 05, living in Ireland, using Tv ordinary cable adapter for laptop and can't get the Tv working properly. B & w images are the best ive got so far.

  Is there compatibility with Toshiba and Windows MCE driver problems? Also, if I run Tv without having to start windows I get a channel (E4) in color but totally blurry. Would like to have this cracked as worn a lot of dosh on the laptop and I'm relatively new to computers and want a good factor of feeling rather than depression.

  that could be an object (something really little) is/was blocked in your FAN and is now gone. If this would be a problem of turnover so the fan would still some strange noises.

  I suggest you do the following: use your machine as usual and if noise appears again then ask a technician to clean the fan/ventilation system. I Don t think it s some malfunction of the equipment.
