Strange noise on a Satellite A55 S1064

Since two days I have a strange problem with my Satellite A55S1064 aged 1 month. The cooler was very quiet because I bought the laptop, but 2 days ago it began to produce a strange noise that I can't really work on the laptop, it really of destruction. The laptop gets hot, but I think that this is not a critical temperature - my laptop previous also had hot at times.

An interesting fact is that when I hit the pc a little more noise stops for a few minutes.

My suggestion is, this cooler gets stuck or sth similar. What can I do about it? I don't want to send my laptop in support, because it'll take some time to check the problem then.

Hello

It s a very bad idea to open Notepad by yourself, because you will lose the warranty.
It s a new portable computer and you do not need threatened security.
You can make the laptop to your dealer or you will contact the Toshiba service partner in your country.
I'll take one of these possibilities.

  • Strange noise on my Satellite L50-B-NV

    Hi all

I have a Toshiba L-50 b-1-NV and the case constantly makes a strange noise, as if the load continuously. Sounds like something streaks, I think it's the hard drive, but I'm not sure, because the computer is relatively new (I got it 1 month).

At first, I thought it was normal, but reached a point where I can not speak for Skype because the noise is annoying for other listeners.

I opened the Task Manager and it seems quite normal.

You have an idea, what could happen?

Thank you very much and greetings.

On this virtual path, it is not easy to say what the problem is here. It is really strange that this strange noise is so loud for others when using Skype. Is this possible as intensely as internal microphone pick up this noise?

It must be much better if you use the headset, right? Have you tested it already?
Is this some sort of vibration or maybe clicking noise?

You know, these issues should be controlled by technicians. They can put your machine on the desk and hear what is happening exactly. We can discuss here about this problem but it is not easy to say what the problem is here.

  • Strange noise on my Satellite M305-s4830

    Hello dear

I just bought my laptop Toshiba Satellite M305-s4830

First of all: how is it that I can't find my model of laptop in toshiba.com

    And the other problem is:

I noticed that there is a sound emitted by the fan or the CPU I put t know exactly that the sound is very low and you can t even hear it unless you are in a quiet place. It sounds like a signal to high frequency as if there is a mosquito near your ear.
Note: this sound is not continuous. Sometimes I can't I t can hear it.

Is this normal or should I go to the distributor in Egypt?

    Hello

    > First of all to all: how is it that I can't find my model of laptop in toshiba.com
Don t know why the M305-s4830 isn't listed in the Toshiba UIS page but this laptop is without a doubt a Toshiba US series and there on the M305 also appear on the page that are not really different from M305-s4830.

    With regard to your sound question strange mosquito;
First of all it s really hard to tell what you hear and what might cause these sounds, but as far as I know such a high pitch might also appears if a power cable would be broken.

If you do not know it is a common sound, so you might ask a technician for a control.
I mean it of better to check the laptop and make sure that everything is ok.

    Welcome them

  • Strange noise emitting from Satellite Pro S500

For the last 24 hours my laptop as mentioned above makes a low hum of short (3-4 seconds) about every 5 minutes. It seems to come from the top LHS of the machine. In all other ways, the machine is in perfect working condition. It is 4 weeks old.
(I hope that I wrote this question in the right place?)

    Hey Buddy,

    > It seems to come from the top LHS of the machine.
    What is LHS?

I think that it of difficult to say what exactly is the cause of this, but theoretically, it could be related to HARD drive
If your laptop isn't that 4 weeks, the repair is free due guarantee.

c.p. my ram is 2 MB

    Hello Cezar

You should clarify directly with your local dealer or the Toshiba service. I have too many Satellite A200 and my laptop is quiet enough and described it is not normal for me.

Sorry, but to say with certainty if there is something strange or not I should have the laptop in front of me. Second issue with the battery is as strange and it is certainly the second reason to contact ASP.

  • Strange noise coming from the fan on Satellite P100

My Satellite P100 just makes a noise like a seriously heavy drill. Nothing else happened significantly so I turned off immediately and left for an hour or so overheating had the broken fan.
Now back on and everything seems fine, but I'm worried. Is there something that can explain this? I got 5 interviews next week for which I use the laptop to prepare a presentation and I do not want to fail on me at the last minute...

    Any help much appreciated.

    Hello

that could be an object (something really little) is/was blocked in your FAN and is now gone. If this would be a problem of turnover so the fan would still some strange noises.

I suggest you do the following: use your machine as usual and if noise appears again then ask a technician to clean the fan/ventilation system. I Don t think it s some malfunction of the equipment.

    Good bye

  • Satellite C855-12Z - strange noise, even if the cooler is off

    Hello again,

I have a toshiba satellite c855 12z and I heard a strange noise even if toshiba pc health monitor shows that the heater is off, it's like an air blowing inside the laptop, you need 2 coolers? or can it be the hard drive? When I bought the laptop was very quiet, now I always hear this noise...

    Help please

It's always hard to talk about things that are not verified...
There are two things that could create a noise: cooling fans or HARD drive.
Cooling fans are not DISABLED the cooling module can run at a lower speed, but it is not completely off.

HARD drive runs too, but it should not create noise if the HARD drive is OK

  • Strange noise coming out of my Satellite L40

I noticed two times a strange noise coming out of my Satellite L40

Is that what anyone has noticed the same thing or do you not know what it could be?

    Help me please!
    friend Wendy

    Hello Wendy

Please don't get me wrong, but it's not easy to understand the problem that is described in your ad.
I have the same model of laptop and everything works fine. I listen to music every day on Windows media player (mp3s) or radio listening online using the Winamp player.

At the same time, I can use flash cards.

What about strange noises? Who knows what you mean exactly and how us need to understand that?
If please be so kind and explain exactly what you do and what kind of sounds you can hear.

  • A satellite - speakers crack and make strange noises

    Hello

I have problems with my speakers. Crack speakers and make strange noises. I have tried everything to fix this (new audio drivers install, re - install windows...) and nothing has helped. I see someone has installed a new version of the bios and this has solved the problem.

'UN' fforunately I have already installed the actual bios system and the system does not have to reinstall the current version.

Can someone tell me how I can re - install the software in the bios?

    Thank you very much

    Hey,.

Such resettlement is no function you want to say to the BIOS. You can only upgrade to a newer version but not to reinstall the current version.

I think that there is another solution for your problem, but above all that it would be interesting to know if you can see these problems with external speakers or headphones too.
    You can check this please?

  • Satellite A350 - Microphone making strange noise

When talking to people on Skype and MSN people say my mic makes strange noises. They can hear me vaguely on the noise. People say it's a bit like a gurgling noise.

At first I thought that it would be a driver problem so by using Device Manager in windows I have searched online for a update for my Realtek High Definition Audio and he told me that the version is up-to-date.

I went from Vista to Windows 7 about 5-6 months there may be that this is a problem when I reinstalled my drivers? Any advice would be appreciated!

    Characteristics of the computer:
    -Windows 7 Ultimate SP1
-Intel Core 2 Duo CPU P7450 2.13 GHz
4.00 GB of RAM (2.99 usable)

    Thanks in advance

    Hello

Driver update might be useful in this case, but the audio driver is not related to the internal mic. The internal MIC is part of the webcam then in this case I recommend to reinstall the driver for the webcam of the official website of Toshiba:
    http://EU.computers.Toshiba-Europe.com > support & downloads > download drivers

And don t forget to check the Windows sound settings. I would try to disable the microphone amplifier and reduce the volume of the microphone.

  • Satellite A500-17 x: strange noise seems to play music or game

    * Hi guys * (!) : ^ 0

I just bought this A500-17 x, and it's a great piece of kit and everything that is written on the box of backup for one question:

Noise poping up once every few seconds when playing music or game sounds (similar to a disc scratched or dirty) and a worping effect (sort of blur if you want) or the effect after about 5 minutes of evry sinth.

Now, I like loud music, so I thought that the speakers 'wee' can't take volume, resulting in a few popping sounds. (similar to the sets of small cheap mp3 player speakers) However, I noticed that the sound can also be heard through headphones and other speakers.

Regarding the strange noise that is worthy of the Soundtrack of Star Wars, he sews like his experiencing some difficulty of treatment.

I did the usual stuff such as changing settings, setting eqaliser, search for the drivers but to prevail.

Now if there is anyone with the same problems or knows a sollution to this problem splease let me know.
    Thank you in advance...

Also, feel free to use this thread to discuss all your problems sound :D

    Hello

Have you tried to update the audio driver?
    Do this!

As far as I know, you can get the latest Realtek audio driver Realtek page.
You need audio driver Realtek HD.

In addition, I think that you need to update the BIOS too
Take a look at the latest European driver Toshiba for BIOS page
I read here in the forum that BIOS 1.3 - winner should be the most recent

  • Satellite A55-S1065 - after removing the battery, BIOS ask me password

So, something happened yesterday, and it seems to me that it is very strange.
I have a portable Satellite A55-S1065. And while I was with power point, the
computer crashes. In the midst of my confusion, I decided to delete
the battery just to make him stop.

So I did it and plugged it again
and I tried to turn on the computer. Now, the bios ask me a password,
but I've no idea what password it is that. Can someone help me solve this problem?
IM really desperate to find a solution to this since this computer contain
    many of my works.

    Thank you very much.

    > After removing the battery, BIOS ask me password
I know it may seem silly now, but I never heard of something like that. I use laptop for a long time and I had the experience with many others and strange question, but something like that, never.

Problem is that we are dealing here in the public forum and BIOS password is a very sensitive area and very important security feature, so we can not write here about some illegal ways how you can remove the BIOS password.

If there is no way to start your laptop, I recommend you contact the nearest Toshiba service provider and ask for help.
    I'm sorry. :(

  • "Error loading operating sytem!" on Satellite A55

I'm going to reformat Toshiba Satellite A55 Series for Windows XP. It is said that he cannot reformat the C drive and HDD may be damaged and to quit smoking just press F3, and then I press F3.
But it said "error loading operation of the sytem!

What should I do to fix this? Anyone who can help me what about this one?

    Hello

If the hard disk is damaged there is a single Exchange of hard drive solution. For this laptop model hard drive isn't cheap and I think that it is better and easier to solve this problem.

    Dear Sir/Madam,

I received my new Tecra M2 two days ago. As I started using it, I noticed a strange noise coming from the laptop. I'm QUITE sure that's NOT the hard drive or fan, as it seems odd and it's a constant noise. Noise is also quite noisy and annoying, it sounds like a mobile phone signal! Could you tell me what could be the problem and how to solve?

    Thank you very much
