Qosmio G30: Monitor phosphors required to configure Adobe Gamma

I calibrate my monitor with Adobe Gamma and need to know what phosphors used. The options are:
HDTV (CCIR 709)
EBU/ITU
NTSC (1953)
P22 - EBU
SMPTE-C (CCIR 601-1)
Trinitron
Custom...

Can anyone help?
Thank you

Hi Rupert

Unfortunately, I put t find information on these display settings.
But why it is so important to you? I also use Adobe Photoshop on my laptop and I have not configured something like that.

In my eyes, you must use the custom settings. These are the common parameters and should work.

  • Qosmio G30 - black screen on external monitor

Qosmio G30 (PQG32E) under Vista Home Premium, driver NVIDIA GeForce Go 7600, 7.15.10.9813

I can't get a picture on a monitor external (I tried two different monitors). More precisely:

"Windows Mobility Center" will recognize that a monitor is connected
"NVIDIA Control Panel - Display Change Configuration" will recognize the external monitor ('Select poster that you want to use' shows 'Display of the laptop + Sony SDM-HS73', which is the monitor plugged in ext)
but no matter what configuration I try using Fn + F5 or change of display Configuration, I can't do anything but a black (backlight) display on the external monitor.

The monitor is receiving a video signal correctly: when he is off in laptop only the setting Fn + F5, it displays a warning 'no signal', but when turned on again I just get black.

I tried to change the resolution for the external monitor settings. They exactly match the native resolution of the monitor. Still nothing.
I tried 'Clone' and 'Dual View' mode.
Tried various different orders to turn on the computer laptop and monitor, Plug and unplug the device, etc.

Having installed the latest driver for the Toshiba (see above) site. Have NOT tried to install any other driver from NVIDIA site, as she warns to use Toshiba - but that's worth a try?

The clean laptop screen and all other aspects of the video are very good.

It worked ok in the past (I think that before I did the upgrade to Vista when it was still on XP).
Should I just wait for another update of Toshiba driver and maybe Vista SP1?

I really hope this isn't a hardware problem, because the monitor is recognized etc...

    Jonathan

    What port you used?
The (analog) external monitor port or the output port D-video?

View as far as I know that if you used the external monitor (analog) port, then you should choose analog in the nVidia-> current view

Then, you can use the FN + F5 key to switch between the two views.

    Hi Martin

First of all it s interesting if you have downloaded and installed all the Toshiba Vista drivers that are published on the European driver Toshiba page?
All drivers must be installed in the correct order!

If I'm not mistaken the Qosmio G30 - 126 belongs to the series of PQG32E. It was delivered with HD DVD player, and therefore, you should choose the drivers for the Qosmio G30 HD DVD (PQG32E)!

Please first check the file txt Instructions of Installation, and then install all the drivers as mentioned in this document.

    With regard to the issue of the display;
You need to install the correct driver NVIDIA of the Toshiba page!

The keys FN and control buttons don t work because the Vista Toshiba value added Package has not been installed. This package contains applications that are needed to get all the features of Toshiba running!

    Good luck

  • Audio driver for Windows 7 required - Qosmio G30

    Best of all,

I am Spanish. I have a Toshiba Qosmio G30-198. I installed "Windows 7" and ok.

The only thing the map its (Sigmatel STAC9200d) does not work with this system.

I install drivers of procedures of the 'Vista' and the 'XP' and nothing.

Does anyone think how can I make it work?

    Thank you.

    Hello

And why does the Vista driver not work? Normally the Vista drivers are also working on Windows 7, so maybe you should check it once again!

Also try installing the driver in compatibility mode. Run the installer as administrator and Vista mode.

my pc start up startup on the external display. How to solve?

Tried to change HWsetup LCD + Analog RGB and the problem resolved now .but my question:
Before it's selected work fine with default "auo". What happened now? Why must select (LCD + Analog RGB) now! ?

I format my pc, but does not not with the default selection (selected auo) must I change it manually to (LCD + Analog RGB)

    :(

    > Tried to change HWsetup LCD + Analog RGB and the problem resolved now .but my question:
Before it's selected work fine with default "auo". What happened now? Why must select (LCD + Analog RGB) now! ?

HWSetup changes the settings of the BIOS.
So, I recommend checking the BIOS and configuration of the LCD screen in the first place, and then save the changes to the BIOS.
In addition, you must use the FN + F5 option to switch to the default option (only internal LCD).

Last but not least you must check Vista display settings if the external monitor has not been defined for the main display.

  • I don't see that drive HARD install Win7 in Qosmio G30

    Hello world

I tried to install win 7 64 bit in my Qosmio G30. The first problem was when, in the early stages, Setup did not find hard drive. Exactly, he told me that any pilot has been found. logically, if it does not find the drivers, including the hard disk drivers that I couldn't install win 7.
I see the hard drive in the BIOS, but I can't change its configuration. It is as if it is locked

Worst of all is that I'm trying to take the win XP but I can't start the operating system. The message is: ' Could' open drive.

Please, do you know what is the problem?

    Thank you

Before you start the installation of the OS you need to load the SATA driver. Check please download from Toshiba on http://eu.computers.toshiba-europe.com/innovation/download_drivers_bios.jsp page if you can find it here. If this is not the case, let us know.

I can't find it for you because I know what Qosmio have you (PQG30E or PQG32E).

  • Update hardware and software Qosmio G30-198 for hight performance

    Hello

    I have a Qosmio G30-198.

I have to use Autodesk Civil 3D program in the laptop.
This is a CAD program that requires a lot of ram and a transmission of data high-speed HARD drive.
To do this, it is absolutely necessary to update hardware and software for civil use with good performance.

I need to buy and install HDD SSD, install more RAM (which is the maximum allowed in this computer?) and I need to install Win 7 Professional 64 bit.

    Please,

If anyone can tell me how I can further improve the performance of the laptop, please tell me.
I don't know what steps I need to keep.

    Can you help me?

    Thank you very much.

    Hello

The RAM can be expanded up to 4 GB
As far as I know this laptop supports the Intel® 945 PM Express chipset and supports this chipset may 4 GB of RAM
    http://Ark.Intel.com/products/chipsets/22817

The HDD or SSD drive update shouldn't be a big problem.
Usually the built in SATA controller should be able to manage the common SATA SSDS

  • Qosmio G30 PQG32E - Bootmanager missing

I'm running a Qosmio G30 PQG32E - a wonderful machine and I'm still waiting for Toshiba to bring out a new model with the same resolution.

Vista has been installed at the origin of a Raid configuration.
This was later changed to Windows XP and the disks in JBOD.
    Everything worked well.

My son has improved the Win7 Professional machine - always very well.
I took the machine back and installed Kubuntu with the original Vista recovery disc - still very well.
During the year a lot of unnecessary baggage accumulated - also in the registry.
I checked the score with TestDisk and found a myriad of old OS - including Vista. So, I did a clean install to clean both discs using DBan.

I have reinstalled Kubuntu on disk2 intending to install Win7 on disk1.
Win7 informs me that there is no hard drive - it find external USB drives but not the internal.
Vista goes in the BSD - probably because the boot.ini is ste for a raid configuration (?).
I reinstalled the MBR - checked it again with Testdisk and it seems ok.

No boot manager! No hard drive in diskpart list disk.
    I did bootrec /fixmbr /fixboot /rebuildbcd - no joy.
The internal hard drive are not and victory starts with C: being a USB key.

What can I do else? I don't want to not really or need windoze could therefore only lkeave, but it puzzles me and maybe someone can point me in another direction.

Yes, I downloaded the latest driver (TC0017000B.exe) raid but cannot run it because it is on USB and when running, it tells me that WBDHD44I.dll is missing.

    > Win7 informs me that there is no hard drive - it find external USB drives but not the internal.
    > Internal hard drive are not and victory starts with C: a USB key.

Looks a bit like a HARD disk failure
The HARD drive is visible in the BIOS?

Check the HARD drive using freeware like Drive Fitness Test tool. The bootable disc would check the fitness of HARD drive and if the HARD drive is faulty, you will get an error.

By the way: the TC0017000B.exe can be decompressed. If you unpack this package, you will get the files WBDHD44I. DLL, WBTOS45I. DLL and sys files.
I recommend you move these package unpacked on USB key to add the RAID driver during the installation of Win 7.

  • Qosmio G30 - RAID may not reflect new 500 GB HARD drive

I have installed 2 new identical 500 GB hard in my Qosmio G30 with Windows XP.

The system works well, but the disc cannot be mirrored. Report of the Raid Controller is 'Normal Operation status.

This disk cannot be used for mirroring because it is outside the management of the RAID."

Who can tell me whether it is a disc error or is the drive of 500 GB to big for the toshiba with Windows XP raid controller?

    > Can anyone tell me if it of a disc error, or is the drive of 500 GB to big for the toshiba with Windows XP raid controller?

Hmm. I m not very good, but it could be possible that the 500 GB HARD drive is too big for the mirroring of the mode.

But have you tried to change the mode in comforter Toshiba RAID you might find in Toshiba Assist-> Protect Fix & -> RAID Console

Check if you can switch to the mirroring.

By the way; RAID-1 is defined in the BIOS?
Usually, when you use RAID-1 configuration, the RAID is set to mirroring. In this case, the operating system recognizes the reduced ability to both hard drives (in your case, it is not important since you are using the two 500 GB HDD).

    Check it!

  • Qosmio G30 - BIOS need to be updated for Windows 7

    Hey,.

I am trying to install win7 (not beta) on Qosmio G30 (PQG32E with HD-DVD).
I begin the installation, and copying the files on the hard drive. Then the computer restarts for installation.
But every time you start ends in a blue screen with the error: stop 0x0000007E. The text of the blue screen is not little say on an update of the BIOS. But there is no latest BIOS available on the Toshiba site. BIOS 3.90 is installed. There is no other is available.

XP and Vista runs without problem.

    BIOS with a standard configuration.

    Concerning
    File

    Hello

I don't see any question in your message, but you probably want to know if Toshiba will offer BIOS updates. I am sure that nobody here can give you a definitive answer but, in my opinion, Qosmio G30 will be not supported with Win7.

The first series of Qosmio G30 is delivered with WXP MCE and later with Vista. Thus, this model of laptop is quite old. I watched how Toshiba treated with old laptops when Vista was on the market again and not over a year of two laptops have been supported. So I think with Win7 will be the same story. All laptops, not more than one year one or one and a half not will be not supported for Win7.
I think in the future that Toshiba does not update the BIOS designed for Win7.

Of course, I wish wrong me about this, but the future will show whether or not it is just my opinion.

    In any case, good luck.

  • Qosmio G30 - 126 - hdd instaltion Win7 or Vista appears

    Hi all

    I have a Qosmio g30-126 system.
I don't have the recovery CD.
I want to install the Win7 or Win Vista.
It is not showing me the two 200 + 200 HARD drive.

Please tell to me what I'm doing.

    Hi mate

I think that you don t need a driver SATA, but RAID driver!

AFAIK the Qosmio G30 supports RAID and so you must include the RAID driver.
Visit the page of European driver of Toshiba and download the RAID driver that is listed in the list.

Note: Choose the Archive in the Type of product because G30 is an old series.

After having downloaded and uzipped the driver, you need to add this driver during Windows Setup configuration.
