Qosmio G30 repeatedly "blue screens".

My G30 - 153 blue screens on several occasions in recent times.
It will re-start blue screen then again after some time. I tried to recover with the recovery CD, but it before blue screens that can fill.
My colleague considers that the fan does not work.

How can this be verified? Maybe something in the BIOS?
How can I check if there is dirt on the fan? Maybe he just needs cleaning?

The fan can be replaced by a user, or is this something that only a Distributor must make?
This could be a virus and not the fan at all?

Hello

If I understand correctly the BSOD appears and the laptop stops automatically. Am I wrong?
The BSOD appears generally if there is a problem of critical software or equipment would malfunction.
I think it s a second possibility, due to the fact that installation from the recovery CD can not run properly!

> My colleague considers that the fan does not work. How can this be verified? Maybe something in the BIOS?
You hear the cooling module? Usually if the fan is running, you should be able to hear that.

Dust and debris inside the laptop could lead to problems of the fan and overheating problems.
If the laptop could overheat the OS would be closed the laptop automatically to avoid equipment damage!
Maybe it of your case!

> How can I check if there is dirt on the fan? Maybe he just needs cleaning? The fan can be replaced by a user, or is this something that only a Distributor must make?

Usually, the technician must check the laptop and if necessary clean up. But if you have some experience to your laptop, you can try to clean the fans using the professional module cooling cleaning tool. Each laptop offers than all of the compressed air. This can help you blow air through the cooling modules to get rid of dust and debris.
But if you have no experience, contact the technician for help!

> This could be a virus and not the fan at all?
No, I don't think it's a virus problem, but of course maybe another device problem

  • Qosmio G10-137: blue screen after re-install using Recovery CD

    Hi all

just got my qosmio G10-137 earlier this week after being under repair since the beginning of the month of January! Guys made the repair found no better then install the Dutch version of the operating system. I don't like this, then I took out my recovery CD and began the recovery. Everything works fine and I am asked to remove the media and reboot my PC.

This beautiful laptop to start early and... Blue screen of death. Restarts, wonder how to restart... count up to normal reboot... BSOD... restarts, wonder how... I choose "Safe Mode"... BSOD... I choose the mode safe mode with prompt... the system.ini file is missing!

It seems that the recovery CD is bogus.

If someone has encountered this? Does anyone have any resolution?

    Kind regards
    Wim

    Hello

It s very strange because the recovery CD was tested and install several times. It should work without any problems.
I put t know where you come from, but the service partner should install the Windows operating system in the same language. In this case, if you bought the device in Dutch the recovery CD and the OS are in the Dutch language.
Please note that you must use the same recovery CD that came with the device. Another recovery CD will not work.
What you can do is to test the unit with an original CD of Microsoft Windows. It would be very interesting to know if the blue screen appears with the original Windows.

  • On the Qosmio F50 of blue screen problem

    Hello world!

Suddenly, I have a problem with my Qosmio F50. Frequently, it goes to the blue screen and says there is a problem with the hardware. I am running Vista and I havnt really brand new programs installed recently. I tried to write the code for the last time, it's happened, but has failed to catch the last didgits:

    STOP 0X0600008E 0CC0000005 (0X00000000, 0XA7F5IA9C...)

    Can someone help me please?

    Thank you.

    Hi blackgravy,

At the present time it is difficult to tell why you get a blue screen it s often associated with drivers or RAM/HDD. First of all, you must follow the instructions posted by Akuma. Check your RAM with Memtest86. It s a freeware for RAM diagnostic tool where you can download an iso image to create a startup disk.

To test the HARD drive, I can recommend similar Drive Fitness Test procedure such as Memtest86 with iso image and the bootable disc.

  • Qosmio X 500-blue screens and video display problem

    Hi all

I bought my Qosmio X 500 (PQX33A-02g00j) about 2 months ago and have had recurring problems, which fortunately I documented, with blue projection (actually this is my second unit as the 1st was defective).

I have re-instanned factory three times and minimum the newest driver (one store told me version 188.75 and the card is a Gforce GTS 250 M). I note, there are a few forum posts dealing with or question on the screen flashing etc, but it was always going to re-start and blue screen

The computer can do this 2 or 3 times in a row and then possible work for several days without any problem? This happens especially when im using Adobe or Word (not hungry graphics applications).
Is there an answer to this problem here because next week it's back to the store for a full refund - whether they like it or not?

Thanks for your time on this

    Hello

Your laptop is fine, but all the problems related to the BSOD is nvidia graphics card driver. It looks like this nvidia programmers don't want to fix a bug... I have recommended you download graphics driver http://www.nvidia.com/object/notebook_winvista_win7_x64_197.16_whql.html download and install. Hopefully, you won't have no blue screen

  • Qosmio X 500 - blue screen or system crash when you play

I have problems with my new laptop.
The laptop is a week and I get frequent blue screen errors and system crashes when you play.
At this time I only tried to play a game: World of Warcraft.

    I have run on:
The original that came pre-installed graphic drivers.
The latest updated drivers from the Web from Toshiba site.
The latest drivers for laptop on the Nvidia site.
I also removed all the drivers and allowed Windows update to find it's own who have a different version again.

In these four cases, drivers seem to work fine for a while, but will eventually stop responding and the system crash when I start to play a game.
It happens shortly after the start of a game and other times it can happen after a few hours of game play.
Sometimes it will result in a blue screen, sometimes the game will change from windows with the error message on the display driver does not.

I also did a clean installation using my own copy of Windows 7 with the amount of the absolute minimum of software installed to rule anything that might cause a conflict which was preinstalled.

I also tried to run to run the game in compatibility mode, although I had no problem with my laptop last run the game in Windows 7.

The windows event log always indicates a problem with the graphics.

Did someone else has similar problems or found a solution?
For a laptop that is announced for the game, I would have thought that this kind of thing would not be a problem.

    Hey,.

In my opinion, it has something to do with the display driver or the graphics card itself I always use the most recent display of the official website of Toshiba (NOT nvVidia) driver because they are pre-tested. If you install the latest driver from Toshiba.

After this also make sure that you use the latest version of the BIOS. You can download on the official website of Toshiba too.

I put t know how long you have your laptop, but it should be cleaned from time to time (3-4 months). Therefore, you can use jet of compressed air to blow off the dust.

    Check it!

  • Qosmio G30 102 Fan & screen freeze

I was on my laptop the other day when I folded slightly the charger forest that goes into the laptop to the back and immediately the blue screen of death came and my laptop closed. I restarted my laptop only to realize that if I leave the charger in the fan will control which means it just starts going into overdrive without stopping and the laptop freezes and the only way to stop this is to swith the laptop off completely.

I restarted my laptop thought if could be a problem of software, but as soon as I plugged a USB device as well as the charger my laptop even once broke down in the same way (fan in overdrive and freezing screen).

I recently got my laptop fixed due to the card being damaged, and it was only 4-5 months ago, what could it be this time since no other defects were found.

If anyone can help or give suggestions I would really appreciate it.

    Thank you

You should get this replaced adapter, it may be a short circuit and causing the bad input voltage, with the result an unstable system.

I would send the entire system to an ASP for repair.

  • Qosmio G30: blue vertical lines and crash dump blue screen

    I have a Qosmio G30, model No. PQG32C-AV605E with BIOS Version 3.40.
I want to update 3.90, but I can't get into Windows.

How update the BIOS without windows available?
    Y at - it a utility BACK?

If so, please send and I will download it or send me an email on where to download.
The G30 that I has vertical lines blue on the screen when the computer starts in VGA mode entering into Windows for the first time.

But the machine can not get into windows, it freezes and dumps and restarts before that.
I replaced the RAM with new RAM, but it has no effect.

I ran the diagnostics utility and hard drives are OPTIMAL in RAID 1, so no errors there.
Reinstalling Windows went well: I can't do it in VGA mode without lines.

Toshiba technical support told me that an upgrade of BIOS fix it.

    Thanks for any help.

    Hello

have you tried to plug the external monitor? If it still shows blue vertical lines, the reason is a failure of the graphics card. (You can also reinstall Windows to check the related issue of f it's Os). Otherwise, contact the after-sales service.

Akuma is right. This message occurs if the laptop can not boot from optical disc or HARD disk drive. Then automatically seek next boot device and it's LAN. This message is typical for the start of LAN (cable not connected).

  • Qosmio X 300 - 13W displays a blue screen and 0 x 00000124 STOP error

    Hey guys and girls.

I need urgent help with my new Toshiba Qosmio X 300 - 13W (British model) that I bought in December
I chose to install the 64-bit Vista Home Premium on the computer and the slopes of big thing until I HAV a work of high intensity for it as a game or to have several applications running at the same time:
The screen goes black and the sound begins to "jerk" (repeat in a very short loop for awhile) before crashing to a Windows blue screen
The blue screen said he "detected a unsolvable material error" and the technical Ref of the error message is "STOP 0 x 00000124 (0 x 0000000000000000, 0xFFFFFA8008FE2030, 0x00000000B2000040, 0 x 00000000000800).
Anyone else with the X 300 - 13w has this error or someone has an idea what to do.

Thank you very much in advance.

I think that goes to the GPU. It could be overheating.
Download HWmonitor and run a game for 5 minutes with it running in the background and then go out and check what HWmonitor has recorded for the MAX GPU temperature.

  • Qosmio G30 - white lines on the screen and BSOD

    1. I have a Qosmio G30
2 operating system Windows XP MCE
and I have problem "white lines on the screen ' when windows start to load after that I got the"blue screen of death"and restart the computer.
I try to get back, but unfortunately came with the laptop recovery CD doesn't seem to work...

Whenever I finished to recover I have "windows loading files" and once this is done, it shows me the so-called "blue screen of death"...

    Hello

I m afraid. I have bad news for you ;(
I think you ve you have a problem with the hardware in my eyes, there might be something wrong with the GPU chip.
The white lines on the screen could be related to a faulty graphics card and get the BSOD error due to a hardware malfunction or software serious questions

I m sure that the recovery CD does not contain software problems and therefore only the fault of hardware could be the reason for the lines on the screen and the BSOD.

In my opinion, you should contact the ASP in your country for assistance if all goes well you guarantee is valid.

    Good luck
