Query classic blackBerry on BB Classic - India

Hello!

Before the couple of queries on the classic Bb I buy the same. I'm bassed in India with Airtel as carrier

1 will require computer support whats app call on mobile data or wifi only?

2 is full google store available on classic or only the selected applications?

3. to set up official mail (Microsoft outlook) any support or challenges.

Would be great if someone could answer before going for classic model

You need to talk to the people Whats App regarding whether their application is compatible with your device desired or not. But, beyond that, you must make sure that your device is compatible with the business network on which you want to operate. Reference:

IF one of these is compatible with your network of desired carrier, so be sure that you buy the exact submodel. To determine the compatibility of carrier, contact the carrier to discuss the features of your device through their network.

As a general rule, IF your device is compatible with your network of carriers, you can use a normal data plan on their part for all services. However, you need to ask the developer of the app if a specific application you want to work on your chosen device (particularly ports APK). All compatible applications should work fine on WiFi, regardless of carrier network issues. The regional network restrictions, if there is any, will be of course insurmountable by the device.

Curious question... If you mean specifically the Google game shop, native mode is not available on any device BB10. Rather, WINK has been developed that replicates the store Google Play for BB10 devices. Reference:

However, any application for which the Director chose to do depending on the Google Services play will not work without some 3rd party "hacks" of the APK.

Hmmm... These words "official email (Microsoft outlook)", it is difficult to understand. If you mean Outlook.com (or any it related areas, for example, HotMail, Live, etc.), and then integrate those very well through the peripheral on e-mail Setup Wizard. In addition, they incorporate such as EAS, providing more robust email handling available.

On the other hand, if you mean client PC Outlook desktop, which is totally different.

Then please provide explanations if I misunderstood your question.

Good luck!

  • Warranty Z10 blackBerry in India for my BlackBerry Z10 bought in India

    Hello

Its been a week that I got my new BlackBerry Z10 here in the United States. I am enjoying my time with it and looking forward to the 10.1 update.

I bought from a salesman who gave an unlocked version of the phone but T-Mobile wrote on the battery cover.

I'd be invited in a few months and want to know how can I check the warranty of the device in India coverage.

Thanks a lot for all the response.

    Kind regards

    Fabienne Reynaud.

Probably none, if you have purchased from a retailer of athorized devices. And I know not at all to the United States that sell unlocked full guarantee instruments.

You should ask your vendor what kind of warranty you have.

  • BlackBerry Smartphones Mangalore in India Service Center is pathetic

Today, I took my BlackBerry Curve 8900 to Hervé Communications in Mangalore, Karnataka, India (apparently, authorized Service Centre) to fix the trackball as suggested by BlackBerry.com.

They fix my TrackBall, but at the same time they have spoiled the whole body of my phone. The upper part, which has the mute and Lock, button has not been correctly set after repair, after they fixed that, they gave him two bumps, and when I complain about this, they say this is supposed to be like this (surprising, how I never noticed it in the past two years, looks like they force in fixed after I complained).

In addition, there are scratches on the body of the phone, as they forced to remove the cover in an amateur way. The phone feels rather delicate and loose now, as these Chinese phones cheap.

It's just to bring to the attention of the BlackBerry that this service of the centre is not yet barely up to the usual, BlackBerry brand.

I'm afraid that if your warranty has expired a year ago, it may not be much you can do, but to the SAV messed up your device, you should certainly consider with service center.

If you have a complaint to RIM about this, please see the CONTACT link at the bottom of this page for phone numbers. You do not want to contact the Service Desk customer and explain your problem.

    Good luck.

  • Querying the blackBerry Smartphones.

    Hello

According to this article, there are four ways to turn off your BlackBerry® Torch 9800:

    • Power off
    • All power off
    • Disable

I am only able to find the entries of the first and second. Where should I look for the other two? Or these options will be displayed if the unit is set to turn on and off automatically? In addition, a complete close only take place if the battery is removed?

    Thank you.

If you press the button on the red phone, you will be able to turn off your phone, allowing features such as alarm and auto off/off for still work and you are offered the option to activate your phone off completely, which won't allow any function to work, even the alarm.  It all depends on if you want to turn on your phone manually yourself the next time you use (Full Power Off) or if you have a function that you want to allow to turn on (off) the phone for you.

With respect to this function Turn Off, I am at a loss to explain that one.

  • BlackBerry combined Passport exchanged by the Service Center

    Hello.

I gave my passport to the service center for display problems. It has been replaced and I got a trade-in device.

My query is, BlackBerry has a policy where they don't give you the package of box / in which the handset came? I wrote an email to the service centre asking for the box of the device, they gave me, but they refused.

IM afraid that my device now will have no resale value as I have not the original box. In India, where it is necessary if I want to Exchange my unit for a new (another model in the future).

    Please guide.

Do not forget that these service centers in India are not executed by BlackBerry, but by private contractors. It was a requirement of your Indian Government when the BlackBerry is entered service in India, so BlackBerry has very little control over these service centers.

Yes, they should give you the box. I don't know why they wouldn't.

  • Key-(polled) fast

A blackberry game runs at 30 fps.

The preparation for 8350 (model with a keyboard and a trackball) I don't know if it's just the Simulator, but on my 3.0 GHz machine, I get like 2 input of a second event. Compare with touchEvents on the 9550 (same machine) Simulator, I get something more nearly 30 entries per second.

I want to be able to query the keyboard for input at 30 fps, not simply 'wait' for input through the alternative events of

public boolean keyChar( char key, int status, int time )
protected boolean navigationMovement(int dx, int dy, int status, int time)

How can I query the blackberry for quick entry (close to 30 images/s)?

As an aside, it will be like a million times faster once I have deploy on a device?

BlackBerry is an event focused on the OS, you don't ask for feedback like you do on some os.  So you will not be able to query for this entry.

You might find that the substitution of keyDown and keyRepeat might give you better answer, especially if you expect your users to keep the key pressed.

I expect the device to respond more slowly than the Simulator.  Certainly not a million times faster.

  • Running out of file descriptors

Hi, I have an application that I'm developing, and he made a few audio streaming. I recently started to incorporate caching, and I used the demo of reading LimitedRateStreamingSource in the buffer as a base to do. Everything works initially, but after a few minutes of use, I start to experience an exception indicating that I ran out of files on the device. I quadruple checked each opened file is closed, and this only happens when I use the code example of RIM for limited streaming rate. A few questions: 1) is it possible to get the number of files currently opened from the device (can help with debugging). (2) at - it something 'special' I might look for a cause to the problem? I test on a Curve 8900 with a 8 GB SD card.

    Thank you

    Travis

There is no way to query a BlackBerry smartphone to see how many files are open.  You can see the document below for more information on the number of files that can be open at the same time (see section FileConnection).

  • Is there a Firefox application available for the classic Blackberry 2015 model?

I have a classic Blackberry. I was wondering if it is possible to obtain a browser Firefox on a classic Blackberry app to use rather than the stock browser?

    TThanks

The BackBerry operating system is like 10 BlackBerry and the BlackBerry Tablet OS older for PlayBook is based on QNX. Once long ago, you could build Firefox for QNX, but support for QNX has long been removed from the Mozilla source tree.

There has been no development of Mozilla mobile browser for any material or BlackBerry OS.

Mozilla Firefox has for mobile desktop Windows, Mac OSX, Linux and Firefox for Android 2.3 +. There is also the "BONE of Firefox" used on say that some budget phones and some new Tv's Panasonic. They have also recently started with a shell for iOS 8.2 Firefox browser +.

  • Classic BlackBerry what may be the end of the road for me and BB...

first thing first. My classic is not yet two years old and it was very expensive.

Ive had only bb for years and years, my favorite by far.

    TMobile can't bb.

    TMobile sells more bb.

    same bb sells more classic.

Facebook has pulled his app so now I have no facebook.

half of the speaker/mic stopped working months ago, no one can fix it.

the software of bb (tons and tons of it) cost me a LOT of bandwidth at home, had to uninstall it. man, I had no idea until my ISP told me. It was really bad.

now texting niot work. I have already crossed tmobiles * support * still does not work.

I try to text someone, sometimes it allows me to enter text, sometimes it only allows me to enter text. He sends some soetimes more often than otherwise the message will just totally disappear.

Oh and im still paying the phone is off.

    Hey @xlaurenstephens answering your tweet.

I understand your frustration. We need more information.

    1. What is your operating system loaded on your device? From the main screen, drag to the bottom of the black bezel that is superior to the settings > everything... What is the Version of the OS that there are listed?

    2. have you restarted your Classic lately, or how many times? Do it. One or both as shown below.

Restart: With the BlackBerry powereddevice, press and hold the power button on top about 20-30 seconds, ignore the 3-2-1 timer and hold the button until the screen goes black and you see the red LED.
    or
Restart: With the phone smart BlackBerry turned on, using the keys of volume of the edge side, press on and hold the keys of volume for about 20 seconds and both of the Up, ignoring the initial message of screenshot... the screen go black, reboot.

After either of the above process, wait about 5-6 minutes after restarting a household with the device, let data synchronization and settle.

    3. find the 3-4 most text threads, these are some who you text presenting most often and remove these threads text completely and restart again as described above. This should really improve your text problems.

    4. on the microphone and the speaker, what makes you think half does not, of each?

I have no idea on the issue of software data. Which will cost you to uninstall what? Can you be clear in explaining what you mean or what you were doing. What you uninstall?

  • BlackBerry App Evernote a shared folder on classic BB

I shared a folder of Evernote Premium on a Mac and an iPad App Evernote (Basic) on a classic BB. Even if a message is received on the classic indicating that I can't further. I can get to a long reference that the classic tells me that there is no software on the device to open it or the browser opens how I like Evernote does not support the BB browser and invites me to download the app - which I already have!

It seems to be going around in circles...

    Help please

    Ok. I have it.

I'll have to experiment, but cannot do so now. I hope that someone will respond before that I'll be back if they don't know a solution.

(A laptop, I shared with my wife, but she did not really get with the idea, so I really got to dig into it with the BlackBerry or computer. But I dig this evening. As far as I know right now, your experience may be the rule. What I am curious to know is if shared notebooks can be linked to or access the app Evernote on the BlackBerry).

(For what it's worth, what I do instead is also sharing individual notes with woman and other app Evernote. It's as easy as using surveys BBM, BBM group, e-mail).

(Thought hard, here is what I'm going to try: account Evernote from my wife, I will create a test booklet and share with me.) I'll answer with a desktop computer accept and see what there is to do this laptop to display on my Evernote. From there, I'll see then if this laptop shared test appears in the Evernote on BlackBerry App. I am sure that the acceptance of the offer of shares will have to be done from a desktop browser. We'll see. If you give a try in front of me, after what you learn.)
