Query on the dynamic view v$ parameter

That means the column 'ISSYS_MODIFIABLE' in the parameter $ v? According to the documents, if it is 'FALSE' - parameter is not editable with ALTER SYSTEM unless a server settings file was used to start the instance. The change takes effect in subsequent instances. 'this means that it is a static parameter if the value is false, for example, I checked for the parameter 'db_file_name_convert', the value is considered as false when started with the pfiles and spfiles, until this means, a 'FALSE' value always indicates that the setting is static.

False means that it cannot be changed dynamically.

If you use a SPFILE you can change the setting and Oracle will save the new setting in the SPFILE, but it will not change the current instance.

It will be used when this SPFILE alteration is used to start the instance, next time.

    Am I wrong?

  • Permission to access the dynamic views v$ users not sysdb

    Hello

    I am a beginner in Oracle and this is my first post in this forum, so please be gentle

    I am trying to give some capacity on certain points of view a user not sysdba like this:

    What worked well:

    create view V_SYS_SESSION_LONGOPS as (select * from v$ session_longops);

    GRANT SELECT ON V_SYS_SESSION_LONGOPS TO myuser.

    What has not worked:

    create view V_SYS_SQL as (select * from v$ sql);

    GRANT SELECT ON V_$ SQL to myuser.

    GRANT SELECT ON V_SYS_SQL TO myuser.

    The problem is that these SQL commands are accepted by oracle, but my user does not see this second view (while the first works very well).

    I did something in a wrong way?

    Thank you

    What is the error?

    Having the MYUSER account run select * from SYS. V_SYS_SQL

  • Change a query to be dynamic

    Hello

    Query of the following view shows the months of the year I got it with the help of a Member here Zerathul.
    Well, I put it in a view, select month_code and month_desc in a report.
    CREATE OR REPLACE VIEW FINANCIAL_YEAR_MONTHS

    AS
    select  to_char(add_months(FROM_DATE,rn-1),'MM/YYYY') as financial_month,

     join cde_month on (cde_month.month_code = to_char(add_months(FROM_DATE,x.rn-1),'MM'))
    order by x.rn;
    All I want to do is make a dynamic statement not only specified for the year 2007, but throughout the year if I want to change this line to accept any parameter as follows:
    from (select * from cde_fin_year where fin_year_code = *2007*)
    Kind regards

    Abdetu...

    from (select * from cde_fin_year where fin_year_code = * 2007 *)

    Try this->

    from (select * from cde_fin_year where fin_year_code = '&code')

    Kind regards.

  • Do not to use the materialized view

    I wonder if we've already created a materialized view, can we prefer not to use this point of view, materialized for a query? I want to say can we determine if a query uses MV and other queries don't use MV?  Thank you.

    Hello Indra,

    I'm not completely sure about that, but you can read (with examples) concerning the indications- NO_REWRITE and REWRITE

    Text over the doc links:

    Council of REWRITING:

    The REWRITE Council instructs the optimizer to rewrite a query regarding the materialized views when possible, regardless of cost. Use the REWRITE trick with or without a display list. If you use REWRITE with a view list and the list contains an eligible materialized view, then Oracle uses this view regardless of its cost.

    Tip NO_REWRITE:

    The NO_REWRITE Council tells the optimizer to disable the rewrite of the query to the query block, of the substitution of the definition of the parameter QUERY_REWRITE_ENABLED .

    Be aware! -The NOREWRITE suspicion has been deprecated. Use the NO_REWRITE hint instead.

    Read here: setting QUERY_REWRITE_ENABLED

  • Unit test: is there a way to make the dynamic query of the value of running after the boot process?

    I wonder why the dynamic value query is executed before the boot process? Logically, it makes sense to run after them.

    For example, I test a stored procedure that is supposed to delete a record, and I'd like to create this test report should be deleted as part of the startup process before execution of the stored procedure call to delete this test record. Apparently the dynamic query of value not returns not the test report in as long as the query parameter to call the stored procedure under test, which makes me think that is executed before the startup process of design...

    Please advise...

  • Dynamic problem with lookup-query for the purpose of resource request

    Hi all
    I need to set up several IOM user exchange mailboxes, I can set up AD account and account of the mailbox without any problem, but only for the first ad and Exchange account. For the second and third, etc. I get the error: "Invalid login name" during Exchange of account provisioning. I discovered that this problem exists with Exchange Connector - it is not able to collect correct GUID. So in my xml Dataset I use dynamic query Lookup to select manually correct Alias, the login name and GUID. The query for the GUID is the sequel (I cloned RO for AD and Exchnage):

    AttributeReference available-in-bulk = "true" length = "32" widget = 'search query' type = 'String' attr-ref = "Object GUID" name = "Object GUID" >
    * < lookupQuery search-query = "select distinct UD_KFUSER_OBJECTGUID GUID, ud_KFUSER_uid like UD_KFUSER UD_KFUSER, orc orc Login, sta sta where UD_KFUSER.orc_key = orc.orc_key and orc.usr_key = ' $Form data." Take ' and UD_KFUSER. "UD_KFUSER_AD = 27 and orc.orc_status = STA.sta_status AND STA.sta_bucket! = 'Cancelled'" display-field = "GUID" save-field = "Object GUID" / > *.
    * < / AttributeReference > *.

    My questions are:

    1. I have to type * to run the query in the user interface, without * I got error:

    Is this right?

    2. when I got correct values (from the search query) - they are missing on the details of the application and form of RO - what Miss me?

    I use OIM 11.1.1.5, in my xml dataset I use correct attr-Ref (labels), when I type the values manually, they are propagated to form RO and Exchange mailbox is created.

    I not had no problem when writing search query.
    This works very well for me.

    As I've suggested before:

    To get the name of the table the column

    and as others have:

    Type global temporary Tables vs. table

    If you give more context, more information about the bigger picture, more information about what you're trying to do and why you're going down the road you go down, you can return more useful information. But you seem reluctant to do.

    For the moment, your recent posts seem to just raise the same type of question - why are you doing this?

    The normal way to return data to a client is a refcursor.

    It is the most effective way.

    Not through collections that you seem to be put on the must-do approach.

    Many queries take less time the second time you run them. After the first performance, there may be many, if not all, lines in the buffer cache. Then the second round will not make any or all e/s physical but will obtain data from the buffer cache.

    Also, you haven't checked that the MV was even used for the second run.

    Drop the MV and make the query several times and means of the time. Then create the MV and do the same thing.

  • Dynamic SQL query in the DB adapter

    Hello
    I want to use the following custom SQL query in the DB adapter:

    SELECT EMP_ID, EMP_NAME, EMP_LOCATION FROM EMP WHERE EMP_ID IN (#iNPUT_PARAMETER)

    the problem I'm facing is that I don't know at the time of the development that EMP_ID how much will be passed to the process so that I can not use the input parameter specific number. I cannot use it IN the query within which statement I concatenate all the EMP_ID separated by comma and passed under INPUT_PARAMETER, but when running, he read the full concatenated string as a single string rather than identify them as a list of different: with comma separation. could someone help me in this case

    Thank you
    Sunil

    Use the following query with two parameters. Build the string with delimiter when running and pass this string and delimiter to query... (in this example, the input value would be the same for both Delimiter1 and Delimiter2.)

    Select * from EMP WHERE deptno IN (SELECT SUBSTR (STRING_TO_TOKENIZE, DECODE (LEVEL, 1, 1, INSTR (STRING_TO_TOKENIZE, SEPARATOR, 1, LEVEL-1) + 1), INSTR (STRING_TO_TOKENIZE, SEPARATOR, 1, LEVEL)-DECODE (LEVEL, 1, 1, INSTR (STRING_TO_TOKENIZE, SEPARATOR, 1, LEVEL-1) + 1)) FROM (SELECT #StringToTokenizer | #Delimiter1 AS STRING_TO_TOKENIZE, #Delimiter2 AS DELIMITER FROM DUAL) CONNECT BY INSTR (STRING_TO_TOKENIZE SEPARATOR) ((, 1, LEVEL) > 0)

  • Join the query in a dynamic list of values query

    I have a join query in a dynamic list of values query. The value does not return a value of text, but rather the value of the ID.

    Is it possible to use a join query in a dynamic list of values query?

    For example... in the query below, I expect to see ename in the drop-down list, but I see class_emp_id.

    Select b.ename d, a.class_emp_id r
    of class_emp a, b of the emp
    where a.class_cat_id =: CURR_CLASS_CAT_ID
    and a.emp_id = b.emp_id
    order by 1

    Thank you
    Reid

    Hey Reid,

    The structure of the pairings/value of the item is incorrect - it should be: item1, item2, etc.: value1, value2, etc, so:

    ' f ? p = & APP_ID.: 50: & SESSION. ": P50_LP_ID, P50_LP_NAME, CURR_CLASS_CAT_ID: #LP_ID #, #LP_NAME #, #CLASS_CAT_ID #"

    I guess that CURR_CLASS_CAT_ID does not use the prefix P50_?

    I have a few components of af: selectOneChoice that is contained in an af:table element.  The table is extracting lines from database and display data.  Now here's the weird part: sometimes the component of selectOneChoice will have the correct value selected, and other times it will be just left unchecked.  I can verify that the data in the object view lines are indeed correct after I request them.  The LOV for soc components are properly set up (some are configured as static list display objects and some are set up as model driven lists based on display objects).  I have just completely puzzled me as to why they work sometimes and then not work at times even though I am following the exact same steps to reach that point in my application.  Someone at - he never meets this problem before?

    Thanks for reading.

    Problem solved!

    For anyone having this problem in the future: do not try to do a partial trigger on a table that is not in the visible panelTab.  The problem is that when my view criteria applying, I was refreshing the TWO tables.  This caused that was not visible to lose the selectOneChoice selection, while the other table was very good.  Remove the partial relaxation for the table that was not visible caused the data to be maintained properly during the exchange between the tabs and change the view criteria.  Thanks for the help again Ashish, stumbled on the real root of the problem, after following some of your suggestions.

  • How to pass the dynamic parameter to a function of database in OBIEE

    Hello

    I have a requirement like this. I need to create a report in OBIEE which stood in the discoverer. Now in the Scout report there is a calculated item in the worksheet based on the pkg.functions database. The user setting which gives the runtime parameters are then passed to the discoverer calculated elements dynamically. But I am not able to do this in OBIEE answers.

    Can someone tell me step by step how I can able to transmit the values of user setting selected in the level of response OBIEE.

    The example:

    GET_COMM_VALUE_PTD ('cost AFE & commitment'. ID of the AFE,: ' name at that time (AFE) ', 'cost of the AFE & commitment '. Salt of data, 'cost of the AFE & commitment '. The org ID)

    GET_COMM_VALUE_PTD - database function
    ('Cost AFE & commitment'. ID of the AFE,: ' name at that time (AFE) ', 'cost of the AFE & commitment '. Salt of data, 'cost of the AFE & commitment '. org Id - settings...: "period Name (AFE)" is the dynamic setting of the execution by the user.

    Help, please.

    Thank you
