• Simple question about editing waveform in multitrack

  I have an hour of music interspersed with talk about the scene.  I put this file in multitrack view, and then I tried to apply a different filter, (equilizer) to music and conversation.  I cut the track at each stage of the conversation of the music. Then I started in the beginning and each block right click and click on modify waveform.  This takes you to the view of the unique path and I applied the filter.  I painstakingly did all the blocks a filter for audio and one for music. Then I save the recorded session which recorded and mixed to another track and who.  The only problem is when I listen to it it sounds exactly like the original.  There seems to be no difference between them.  I feel when you change the waveform of multitrack view, edit you it, but that's all he never goes anywhere.  I thought that when I did it was just take this block and put it in editing mode and then when I went back to multitrack there everything went.  But apparently not.  What should I do to change a block in multitrack and can you do this?  Doug

  Mounting in the sense that you're talking about doesn't happen in multitrack view at all - it is non-destructive. In other words, it plays your file selectively, with effects that you have added to the point where this particular instance of reading is. And that's all it does - it does not any real change in the file at all. And no matter what. If you want to apply different effects to different parts of your single track, you must either use the automation system - in which it is perfectly possible, but it will be somewhat limit your ability to move the blocks around - or do what most people do, which is, change the view to restructure your file into segments and finally save as different files. Then you import these new files in multitrack view, and you can treat them separately. That way you can easily put all files dialog on a track that you EQ in a sense and any music on the other. Then you reglissez tracks all about give you your original performance (or a better version with deviations less!). Mix the result down, and you're done.

  If you want to make a reality, permanent changes to a file, then you have to do these in the edit mode. When you return to this file in MV then changes will be there - but keep in mind they will change every single instance of it, which is, of course, why it is best to import each segment in a separate file - any changes made to the it does not affect other selections you could carry out other parts of him elsewhere.

  There are other ways that you can make the entire process as well - it's just a first and the most obvious.

  Say I have an image that is 11 x 12 within a framework of 4 x 3. If I change the size of the image, it will show a preview of the whole image of 11 x 12 ghost back. I need to know if there is a way to disable this feature.

• Second question about Dreamweaver templates

  HIiya,

  My next question on Dreamweaver templates.  I used the 2 fixed coumn, sidebar and footer model to create this page.  http://www.gillwykes.com/development/frank_test/template_test.html

  I created the flyout on a different page, and it worked fine.  But for some reason any when I copy and past in the page template, the submenus disappear when I hover over them.  Have I forgotten to copy a full piece of code, or have I missed something?

  I am rustic most qualified to answer this question, but I'll have a go at it. First of all, I admire your ambition!

  Dreamweaver is a great tool, but it will not necessarily learn you webdesign. Once you have an idea base of what happens in a website design, you'll really enjoy what DreamWeaver can do for you. I'll give you the same advice I was given when I wanted to first get into DreamWeaver and web design.

  I would really suggest some basic HTML and CSS books and use a text editor to create your first pages. Once you start to undersatnd that you do, then by all means, get a DreamWeaver training. Everyone has their own favourite titles to learn the basics, so I'll just say this is a suggestion and has helped me to start. The first head of series has been clearly written, has a good sense of humor, and helped me to get the basics. Check your libraries, shops of second hand books or other resale stores. I know you mentioned the Adobe online, but I have also used and as, Adobe Classroom in a Book series. Once I learned a particular version, I found the Missing Manual good for cutting-edge issues series and going to a new version.

  Don't be discouraged, stick with it and don't be afarid to try another book, if you don't like what I suggested. We all learn differently and what has worked for me may not work for you!

• Optional editable areas in templates Documents nested

  Hello - I am running Mac DW MX 2004 (Version 7.0.1) and having a problem with the help of editable optional regions. Have not worked much with the models before, so am probably not see something simple that causes this problem.
  
  I searched Dreamweaver documentation and help, online support and this forum and have not found anything that is directly related to the question and I was wondering if anyone has any ideas.
  
  We build a new customer's Web site and have created a quite General (mainly to block in the design of box header and footer) main template for the site as a whole.
  
  From there, I created a template nested for all inside pages, that defines the design elements more or less common inside pages (home page will be different from the inside of pages, with the exception of the areas defined in the master site).
  
  Inside that I define, among other things, several editable optional regions in order to allow the lower level models and the pages out to control these elements (for example to allow an optional photo in a given region).

  This insidepages_master.dwt, I created another level of models nested to allow me to define specific sections of the site page design items and to allow more control in individual pages, while maintaining control over the elements common to all internal pages design. The about_master.dwt, for example, is for the site, section 'a way'.
  
  In such a nested model, because I want to let individual pages within a section to control if or not they display things like the photo option in the above example, I check the 'allow nested templates to control this' for these regions. For the example above, the IncludePhoto parameter, I check the box in the model properties dialog box command.
  
  But when I create an individual page of a model as the about_master.dwt and try to disable an optional region as for the pictures, above, (by setting IncludePhoto to 'No' with the command properties of the model), DW shows a dialog 'Inconsistent region names' box for this editable optional region, complaining that it is «< unresolved >» Box invites me to 'Move the content to a new region', with a drop of places I can stick, but, since everything I'm trying to do is tell the thing to not include this optional editable region on a page says in a section of the site, I don't understand why I even would see this box in the first place.
  
  This result keeps me from being able to control these optional editable regions in individual pages generated by these models nested, that is unacceptable. I know where I would tell him to stick, but it doesn't give me that option. :-)
  
  All the ideas I (probably) doing wrong?

• Add existing web page to dreamweaver template

  Hello

  How to add an existing web page created before the model has created a model Dreamweaver, I created my index page?

  I use Dreamweaver CS6

  The index of test file has a header and a column on the left with links and then a contained right column and footer.

  The content column has "editregion4" on it, so is locked. I want to update other areas and have other pages that I created prior to the model being created was updated too.

  I created the index.dwt model and saved as index.html

  I have update the model and updates the index.html page too. So far, but so good...

  I created separate pages to test how to add to the model without changing the "content" section.

  Question: How do I add the other pages that I have created?

  These are just the test pages. The next page is called: about.html and I added some random text in the content area that I want to keep.

  The only areas that would update are the header, column and footer to the left.

  Another question: would you have only the one file model?

  Yes. It makes the management of the site a lot easier if you stay with a Template.dwt.

  A well-designed template everything including your site have some items may not appear on all pages of the child.  Some examples are slideshows, galleries or calendars. This is where the optional regions come into play.

• Dreamweaver Templates dialog box

  I work with several sites and enjoy the management of Dreamweaver templates.

  For the most part, it's great, but there is a very frustrating problem that I hoped would be addressed during the last three versions of DW:

  When I'm dealing with sites that have a lot of models and their nested models, the Model dialog box is not sufficient. I'm going to lose minutes trying to find any given model because:

  (a) you can't resize the dialog box, then you can only display on 6 or 7 models at a time, which does not cut on large Internet sites.

  (b) they are understandable order - not alphabetical, not in the order in which they were created - it seems almost randomly

  Here's the box I'm talking about. I get it by clicking Edit-> Templates-> apply the model to the Page:

  

  I worked with DW years but I don't know everything, so maybe miss an easier way to do it.

  Maybe it's a way I can apply templates and/or discovers the hierarchy of the model without having to use the extremely small and archaic dialog box, or can I change a file or registry entry to remedy?

  Thank you for taking the time to develop your work scenario.  I have a much better idea of what your needs are and can see how the nested models can meet your needs [rare].

  If you work in DWCS4 (the latest version), then you have already seen how the Model dialog boxes have changed - so now I'm confused.  Maybe I don't think of the correct dialog box.  My answer assumed you were referring to the FILE. New dialog box from the model.  Is it not what you wanted?

• Question about the new Yoga 10 HD +.

  A few questions about the new Yoga 10 HD + that I hope you can answer.

  I bought the former model, last year. Love the design and long battery life, but a few major questions made me return.

  • Somewhere that I've read that it can not read NTFS on USB so I guess that's the same thing with a NTFS formatted microSD card?
  • Can it read exFAT formatted microSD cards?
  • Anyone who has questions about the audio via bluetooth?
    (I know that BT is not exactly High End HiFi but the old 10 Yoga for some obscure reason - most likely a driver problem which nobody cared to fix - rang * very * worst with visibly distortion while both my phone and a Tablet noname cheap I have zero about fidelity - any of my devices bluetooth audio) I tried aptX or not)

  So to avoid buying it back it also I really I would like to see if I can get my questions answered before buy you.

  While I love the form factor and long term issues above are only two Mayor dealbreakers for me. Bad audio quality = no joy listen to spotify, local etc. MP3s. not of NTFS or exFAT = some great movies.

  My old noname android Tablet really could use an upgrade so I'm really curious it may be, or I should watch the competition and will be form factor and battery LIFE.

  I mean with Linux Android root, it should be a no-brainer to support at least when it comes to royalties unlike NTFS or exFAT where it * might * have some trouble with Microsoft.

  I used a USB through a USB OTG cable. NTFS or exFAT have been recognized by the Tablet PC. FAT32 is seems to be the preference.

  I have a question about installing a dual boot.

  Someone recently bought a copy of Windows 7, but they had the wrong version. They got the 32-bit version instead of the 64-bit and for some reason the store refuses to return or Exchange it.
  They offer it to me that they have to buy the 64-bit version.

  I'm not sure if I need it, but I thought I could try on my laptop. I just realized that I type that they never told me what version of Windows 7 it is.

  This laptop was given to me second hand. It came with Vista Home Premium. I installed XP on another partition, and was so pleased with the results that I've never bothered to fix the Vista partition to get the job to dual-boot.

  If this proves to be Windows 7 Professional or Windows 7 Ultimate edition, am I having difficulties to the upgrade of the Vista partition? I guess I could install it from scratch, but I'm not sure if all the drivers are available.
  Can I try the drivers Vista 7 the way you sometimes try 2000 drivers under XP?

  As you can see, I have several issues of concern. 7 same detects the installation of Vista and make an update if I don't fix it so that the Vista bootloader is present? The XP installation program has replaced the Vista bootloader, and I've never bothered to fix it.

  Looks like somebody bought an OEM of Windows 7 version from a "commercial" version comes with a 64-bit and 32-bit installation DVD.  If someone has already installed and active that the OEM 32-bit version, then, unfortunately, this license cannot be used on another computer since the OEM licenses are permanently tied to the first computer it's installed and activated on.

• Question about Dell OEM: SLP Windows 7 Installation disk domestic; can it be installed and activated on other computers from Dell?

  I bought a Dell installation disk and I want to use it to install a better version of Windows on my Dell PC. I have windows Vista and I want to use it to update my OS Windows7 Home Premium. However, the license type is SLP:OEM and no detail... not sure what SLP: OEM means... I thought that the OS discs are the same. Someone told me no retail editions are not suitable for a new OS, but I'm confused. The disc says, Windows 7 Home premium 64-bit, but didn't holograms who have all MS OS disks and the disk is labeled for use with a Dell system only, if the means it will work very well on my Dell PC? The label does not which brand or model this disc is for, but said only for the Dell PC which is my PC. I'm assuming, the disk won't work on all Dells, maybe someone can offer suggestions, any help is much appreciated. Thank you!
