• Question about formatting a partition on a dual-boot configuration

  The advice in an email from Avast to restart my business safe, it has now disappeared in an infinite reboot cycle.  The computer restarts just before arriving at the office.  I ran StartUp Repair three times and also I tried the system restore.  As a last resort, I tried to re - install Windows Enterprise, but get a blank screen (not quite black, dark gray) immediately after pressing any key to boot from CD/DVD screen.

  All initialization information is stored on the C:\ drive, so you can go on management of drives, right click on the partition where Windows 7 Enterprise is installed and format.

  I use APEX 4.0.
  I see that I can format it "BOLD" and stressed in a textbox control using a control, but when I save it in a clob in the database, using the punctuation of command and not really the underscore or the "BOLD".
  I use a word doc to view the contents of the CLOB, but I just get the punctuation of command and not the true underlining or "BOLD", what am I doing wrong?

  You do NOT record the shape to a column of type CLOB, where the C Lopez (character). If you want to save a document Word style to a column, and then watch a BLOB (Binary)...

  I think that you have at least two options:

  (1) use TO_CHAR function in your selection:

  SELECT TO_CHAR(,'$999,999,990.00')
  FROM   
  

  Replace both and with your table and column in your select name... need not the brackets be.

  (2) let ApEx format your output of the column:
  * Click 'Report' to the report corresponding to the title of "Regions".
  * Click on the pencil to corresponding column that you want to format. This will take you to the page "column attributes.
  * Click on the pop up arrow for the field "Number/Date Format" topic "formatting of column.
  * Click the corresponding format, for example "$5 234,10.

  + You should see the following format applied to the field ' Number/Date Format': 'FML999G999G999G999G990D00 '. +

  Use the quick format unless you have a specific reason to use the full format.

• Questions about Stor.e TV +.

  Does anyone have a contact point to raise a complaint about the lack of service from Toshiba? I spent £160 on a TV + Stor.e and did have some problems with it, as you can see from the few posts that I raised. After spending £160 on a point I don't understand why if the forum is the only option to support what he is no Toshiba engineers on this issue, who are able to answer my questions.   Just give the guy a call and explain your situation. I'm sure they can give you a detailed answer and if your TV Stor.e + must be repaired or not. When warranty hardware repair is free.

  I have a Toshiba Satellite A 100 - PSAANE with Vista Home Basic preinstalled in it.

  (1) if I want to format my laptop, I need a CD to install for Vista Home basic... then I don't have this Toshiba CD when I bought the laptop. So how do? question: How can I format it?

  (2) can I change my Vista Home Basic to windows XP? I think it's much faster than this one. is it advisable?

  (3) I have a GB of RAM in the laptop. Increase the RAM? I think that my laptop has become to slow down. is it advisable?

  I had a few questions about unpleasant surprises of recovery:

  (* 1) * I just make recovery DVD using Toshiba Recovery Disk Creator and he asked initially for 2 DVDs - but when one has been done it does not require a second blank DVD. Is it possible all the Windows Vista system files to write on 1 DVD?

  (* 2) * if I could reinstall Windows Vista using recovery of HARD drive option (by pressing F8) without using the recovery DVD?

  1. I think the recovery disk creator means 2 CDs. I also have a Portege M700 with Windows Vista and a DVD. I got it and after that, I have a clean install of Vista with all the drivers and tools of Toshiba. Nothing is missing.

  2. Yes, you can reinstall Vista using recovery of HARD drive option when you press F8 at startup. You don't need the recovery DVDs, but you should create a when your HARD drive get some errors or something else. If you need a new recovery DVDs, you paid for one.

  3 HARD drive and complete partitions will be formatted, so backup your data first on a DVD disk external DRIVE, USB stick or something else.
  After the reinstallation, you have factory settings.

  4. the recovery DVDs is an image of the HARD disk on the factory settings. If you perform a recovery, there are all the drivers and tools are already installed. Of course, on the disk are files of installations of Vista, but you can use this DVD on your Satellite P300. The disc cannot be used on another Satellite or on a PC.

  If you have any other questions, take a look in the user manual. There are a number in the formations of the recovery. It s in Chapter 3.

  A few questions about the new Yoga 10 HD + that I hope you can answer.

  I bought the former model, last year. Love the design and long battery life, but a few major questions made me return.

  • Somewhere that I've read that it can not read NTFS on USB so I guess that's the same thing with a NTFS formatted microSD card?
  • Can it read exFAT formatted microSD cards?
  • Anyone who has questions about the audio via bluetooth?
    (I know that BT is not exactly High End HiFi but the old 10 Yoga for some obscure reason - most likely a driver problem which nobody cared to fix - rang * very * worst with visibly distortion while both my phone and a Tablet noname cheap I have zero about fidelity - any of my devices bluetooth audio) I tried aptX or not)

  So to avoid buying it back it also I really I would like to see if I can get my questions answered before buy you.

  While I love the form factor and long term issues above are only two Mayor dealbreakers for me. Bad audio quality = no joy listen to spotify, local etc. MP3s. not of NTFS or exFAT = some great movies.

  My old noname android Tablet really could use an upgrade so I'm really curious it may be, or I should watch the competition and will be form factor and battery LIFE.

  I mean with Linux Android root, it should be a no-brainer to support at least when it comes to royalties unlike NTFS or exFAT where it * might * have some trouble with Microsoft.

  I used a USB through a USB OTG cable. NTFS or exFAT have been recognized by the Tablet PC. FAT32 is seems to be the preference.

  In fact, this code works very well... but I want to improve it, and I have a few questions:

• Question about compression in essbase ASO

  I have a few questions about to define a dimension of compression in Essbase ASO apps:-

  1. is it a good idea to have the size of compressor in app Essbase ASO.

  2. I read somewhere that said it would not be good idea to have the compression period dimension where months YTD neighbourhoods and quarters of the year. So should we put compression on any other dimension dynamic calc and roll ups and have less none of level 0 members stored.

  3. I have observed that when we level 0 export from an ASO application with compressed size vs ASO application with no compressed dimension, there is a difference in size of data export file. I'm not able to understand why it is so. I understand the difference between the size of data (.dat file) between Tablet app vs app uncompressed file, but do not understand the difference when the data is exported to a .txt file.

  (1) compression dimension is not mandatory, but it contributes to the performance. The compression dimension is a dynamic dimension. We need the column headers in a data load file. Ideal compression is achieved if the number of leaf-level members are divisible by 16.

  (2) ASO tuning is an art as much as a science.  The best choice depends on the distribution of data in the database.  and it's different in each database.  Read all the information and then test the various options.  Try it with time as the compression and then try with the next best dynamic dimension defined as dimension of compression.  I've linked a doc tuning which is version 7, but has a very detailed discussion of the dimensions of compression.

  (3) the format of the header (layout) of the export may be different when you use compression vs when you are not using compression.  It will certainly be different if you use another dimension for compression.  I expect the size of the file to edit when the compression setting is changed.

  2. is there a way to map IRM rights with model of account group/ECM ACL / security?

  I don't think that there is no configuration necessary.

  Just checked in 10g (Complutense University of MADRID and MRI):
  -There is a component called IRMIntegration
  -in the section of the Administration there is a menu item that allows configuration of base between the AAU and MRI (URL, port, etc) and it also contains an indicator "Index sealed Documents" - I think that it is the little thing that does not work in your system
  -When an element is integrated, it can be assigned to a metadata field called Protection MRI, which is filled with all the contexts in which a current 'seal' user allowed to (I assume that you do not see this area in your system)

  A context to this field of filling causes an item to be sealed. My system is a little slow, so I knew when the item was GENWWW, it was even made public. Once this was done, it was already sealed (and so was his web viewable format - spdf).

  I'll also take a look if the component is available in the 11g environment.
