Question of 710 HP with Windows Vista 64

I have a Deskjet 712C

I used to be connected via a parallel port for computer W-2000: no problem.

No, I have a x 64 W - Vista Home Premium connected via USB, and it does not work. I installed the default driver that the computer chooses automatically. The printer appears on the Panel (online), but it will not be printed. When I send a document to print (regardless), the printer performs its initial 'dance', but when it comes to pulling on the paper, it stops and nothing else happens. The doc never appears in the queue. See the HP online help is useless. Diagnostic tool does not help because it does not even detect the printer (the computer does not detect).

Can anyone help?

There is a patch available here that solves this problem.

  • Download/Download speed of control with windows vista

I've searched for a solution to control my download speed on my system. I live in a House with other roommates and need to know if there is a way with windows vista to restrict my network speed and download. I looked at the software and routers, routers, or way out of my price range and offers much more, then I would need a home network. Software requires another computer to stay on at all times, working as a router/firewall software. If there is some hidden in windows settings, this would solve my problem.

    Thanks, Skyday

    Hi Skyday_BG,

Thanks for posting your question on the Forums of Windows Vista.

There is no option to set the download speed on a particular computer in Windows Vista. There are 3 third party applications which allows you to limit the download speed of Windows Vista.

    WARNING OF THIRD PARTY SOFTWARE

Using third-party software, including hardware drivers can cause serious problems that may prevent your computer from starting properly. Microsoft cannot guarantee that problems resulting from the use of third-party software can be solved. Software using third party is at your own risk.

  • Unhappy with Windows Vista

I got a laptop HP pre installed with Windows vista for about 3 years. For the majority of these 3 years I had an internet card provided by Verizon. Recently, I've upgraded to their Wi - Fi called MI-Fi device. Now, it works on all my computer that does not have windows vista.

To be honest, Windows Vista is a piece of ____.  There are several errors and is practically unusable, because the internet does not work properly. I've seen several instances of this problem with no answer as to what is the problem acctually. I have a registry cleaner and spyware detector, the whole shabang.

I am so disappointed that microsoft has not successfully delivered this program and find these errors prior to the placing on the market.

If there is really a bug of Vista in this regard, we could be inundated with
millions of identical complaints like yours here. Because it is not the
case, the source of your problem is elsewhere.  From my experience, HP will make
anything to point the finger elsewhere.  Have you tried the HP user
