  I have a Torch 9800. I changed the password on my email accounts, but now I can't update the settings of e-mail account on my phone.   Hi all

  I just got my first Blackberry. I added a box to the letters for my Gmail account on my blackberry, using the options-> e-mail settings. It works great, it checks incoming emails almost instantly. However, I have another email address which will be forwarded to this specific Gmail address and those forwarded emails are not checked on my blackberry (they do not show upward).
  I see these emails on the Web from Gmail and Thunderbird page, but not on my Blackberry.

  I installed the gmail app, but I really don't want to use it.

  Any suggestions of how to make emails transferred to my gmail account appear on my box of blackberry mailbox?

  Initially, I connected my school via IMAP email.  There has been very little reliable for me that I don't get any messages, messages have a lot of latency, and it's all just a pain.

  However, my GMAIL accounts using the POP3 email form has been good.  I get messages soon after they get actually sent to my gmail account.  The only trouble is that I have to delete messages twice (once on the storm and one on gmail), even with the option 'Delete on mailboxes and handheld box '.

  To work around the problem of IMAP with my school email, I decided to pass on all my school email to a gmail account and then use this account on my Storm.  It worked very well.  I also put an option on my gmail account so that each email I reply to or send is sent not from my gmail account, but my account of the school. (gmail has an option to allow you to do this.)  It works fine when I answer from my gmail account.  However, when I answer my storm, the email is sent to the gmail account address, and the setting of send it on my account at the school instead is not applied.

  It's my problem.  How to do the "sent from the address" setting that I have on my gmail account for messages that I send using my storm?

  On your BIS carrier site, where you set up your storm gmail account, you should see the information "answer to", you can fill out.

  Hi all. Have a little problem. I had to go back to an old 9700 When my current iPhone broke. I needed a new card SIM from the iPhone using a different card. When I called Rogers to activate the SIM everything was fine for about a minute. I received texts that were pending since Sunday when my iPhone broke. I had full bars etc. Once a minute, he went to SOS only. While I was on the phone with Rogers Tech Support I have reset and removed the battery and SIM and all the things they wanted me to. Everything looks good on their system, he said that the problem must be with the device.

  First this... avoid this tech Rogers like the plague. He has no idea what he's talking about. All what he told you is simply not possible. Once MEP unlocked, a BB device can blocked at the factory. Nothing of what you have done or the facilities of any OS can relock a BB.

  I'd rather a complete security on the Device Wipe:

  Otherwise, a ResetToFactory WIPE:

  After each one, put it in the SIM card and switch on the device, and then make sure that the voice is through Rogers. Only then start to worry about getting all the data to work (if you subscribe BIS, in other words).

  I have this problem that I'm trying to work around. On my yahoo mail, I've created rules for certain categories of emails coming. These rules to move messages that meet the criteria for folders that I created.

  Now I have yahoo mail configured on my blackbery device but not to receive emails from other folders. All I get is emails that appear in my main Inbox folder.

  Through the settings on my phone and can't find an option or a setting that can help me solve this problem.

  Ideas anyone?

  1 your Y! mail server receives e-mails
  2 your Y! mail server applies the rules
  3 your Y! mail server sends messages from the Inbox to your server of BIS

  I found it very easy to put in place the BB work with my MSN mail.  I am able to send mail from my BB without problem.  The BB seems to question my MSN email account regularly and I get a new mail to my MSN e-mail account on my BB.

  However, I have a question/problem...

  On my Palm Treo, I could see my MSN INBOX and all other MSN mail folders and their contents.  On the BB all the I seem to be able to access all new e-mail messages I receive.  If it is not important that I can access all files on e-mail MSN on my BB, I would like to be able to access the Inbox on the BB MSN e-mail.

  Is this possible?

Mail on your BlackBerry screen (the icon is a folder with an icon of 'Y' purple & white).  I could have sworn that whenever you get new e-mail, folder would have some sort of marking icon showing that the mail was sitting inside, mine is not.  I haven't used my BlackBerry a few months that I was using my iPhone but have now retreated to the BlackBerry.  Anyway if anyone can confirm if the Yahoo! Mail folder on the screen is supposed to reflect the new messages (by image) I would appreciate it.  The only icon I've ever seen is at the top of the screen (the area where will your voicemail icon, etc.).

  I have a yahoo email that I rarely use so I had never even added it to my BB. But I just added so I could see what you see and possibly try to help. When I added the email I got the same icon you described. It's an envelope with the purple Y! This overlap. I myself sent a test email. The phone vibrates and I got a notification at the top of my screen that I get for all emails, but unfortunately, the icon remained unchanged which is quite annoying actually because it distinguishes only the folder that contains the new message.
