  If you are not on a corporate account BlackBerry Enterprise Service (BES), you don't want to activation.

  You probably have a personal account to BlackBerry Internet Service (BIS). Do you have THE BlackBerry data on your rate plan? If this is not the case, call them and get it. When you do this, an icon for the configuration of the personal e-mail with appear on your device.

  I just got my first Blackberry. I added a box to the letters for my Gmail account on my blackberry, using the options-> e-mail settings. It works great, it checks incoming emails almost instantly. However, I have another email address which will be forwarded to this specific Gmail address and those forwarded emails are not checked on my blackberry (they do not show upward).
  I see these emails on the Web from Gmail and Thunderbird page, but not on my Blackberry.

  I installed the gmail app, but I really don't want to use it.

  Any suggestions of how to make emails transferred to my gmail account appear on my box of blackberry mailbox?

  I have this problem that I'm trying to work around. On my yahoo mail, I've created rules for certain categories of emails coming. These rules to move messages that meet the criteria for folders that I created.

  Now I have yahoo mail configured on my blackbery device but not to receive emails from other folders. All I get is emails that appear in my main Inbox folder.

  Through the settings on my phone and can't find an option or a setting that can help me solve this problem.

  Ideas anyone?

  using BIS, it's the processing order:
  1 your Y! mail server receives e-mails
  2 your Y! mail server applies the rules
  3 your Y! mail server sends messages from the Inbox to your server of BIS
  4 your BIS server sends the emails to your BlackBerry smartphone

  Therefore, there is no way to do what you want using Yahoo!.

  I can suggest you see if it is possible to have the rules applied subsequently (I don't think it's possible with the electronic mail of Yahoo!).

  I found it very easy to put in place the BB work with my MSN mail.  I am able to send mail from my BB without problem.  The BB seems to question my MSN email account regularly and I get a new mail to my MSN e-mail account on my BB.

  However, I have a question/problem...

  On my Palm Treo, I could see my MSN INBOX and all other MSN mail folders and their contents.  On the BB all the I seem to be able to access all new e-mail messages I receive.  If it is not important that I can access all files on e-mail MSN on my BB, I would like to be able to access the Inbox on the BB MSN e-mail.

Mail on your BlackBerry screen (the icon is a folder with an icon of 'Y' purple & white).  I could have sworn that whenever you get new e-mail, folder would have some sort of marking icon showing that the mail was sitting inside, mine is not.  I haven't used my BlackBerry a few months that I was using my iPhone but have now retreated to the BlackBerry.  Anyway if anyone can confirm if the Yahoo! Mail folder on the screen is supposed to reflect the new messages (by image) I would appreciate it.  The only icon I've ever seen is at the top of the screen (the area where will your voicemail icon, etc.).

  I have a yahoo email that I rarely use so I had never even added it to my BB. But I just added so I could see what you see and possibly try to help. When I added the email I got the same icon you described. It's an envelope with the purple Y! This overlap. I myself sent a test email. The phone vibrates and I got a notification at the top of my screen that I get for all emails, but unfortunately, the icon remained unchanged which is quite annoying actually because it distinguishes only the folder that contains the new message.   for what is saved messages, if you save it, it is saved in a folder of messages backed up, which is hidden by default and you can display the icon or press the menu and view saved the message. not very convenient if its still in your Inbox. I am trying to set up my e-mail account again, but the only option in the e-mail configuration page is to set up the email to work with the company's server, and just trying to set up a personal gmail account. I don't remember having this problem the first time I put my email.
