  • BlackBerry Smartphones BB Messenger disappeared

I tried the update Blackberyy Messenger by downloading and installing a later version on being invited by the Blackberry World. Later, I realized that BB Messenger is gone off my phone, but App World it says it is installed. I tried to remove and reinstall and it won't allow me. Help, please.

    Hi TroymanMartin

Welcome to the Forums of the BlackBerry Support

First try a battery pull restarts, if it is still impossible to locate and remember it's not hidden, to check that the screen is in the Panel Home screen ALL > press the Menu key and select "Show all icons" or icon to display "." It will show all of the icons that were previously hidden. If you see BlackBerry Messenger icon like grayed then highlight it and press the Menu key and select the icon to display, also search your folders as the Application of Instant Messaging folder, etc..

If it is still impossible, then try reinstalling the BBM, but first on your homescreen go to Options > device > application management > locate and delete BlackBerry Messenger from this list.

Once it is perform a battery pull reboot by removing the battery while your unit is powered, wait a min, then reinsert back.

    Hey Netzimon,

When you receive this error message is your BlackBerry smartphone connected to a Wi - Fi network, behind a firewall? If so, please see the following article:

  • BlackBerry Smartphones BB Messenger

What is the reasoning similarly have a BB Messenger if you have texting? What benefits do I have to have? He asks me to send/terminals, how am I supposed to enter his pin code, if I do not know, or simply e-mail address sufficient? I have unlimited data plan, so this program would work for me, but I'm kinda in the process of learning here, only an owner for a few months. I have a curve 8310 with OS 4.5. I don't have a yahoo account, isn't even necessary?  A lot of questions. FYI I checked the status and available Im so so is my friend. I've asked and also invited me. I received an email on my pc and it supposed to go to my phone, but it didn't. I accepted the invitation, he did the same thing, but it always says "pending" it happened for a week. Any suggestions?  THX!

    Steve

    Your PIN is automatically entered.

BlackBerry Messenger has nothing to do with the 'left of emails from the server. It passes through the blackberry DATA network and is free. (being the advantage)

His PIN2PIN contact between only blackberry devices (and blackberry connect)

Go to add a contact - put its PIN code in (options > status > PIN)

  • BlackBerry Smartphones Blackberry Messenger works do not!

My blackberry Messenger is not working...

I have the bold 9780. Today it stopped working... Ive talked to my provider and they say all right, my signal is fine... I can send and receive texts and people receive them but if I send a message from bb, so that it has a check mark next to it but not delivered... D still I will not receive messages from bb for 3/4 a bit and then come at once but mine don't always delivered.

My bb Messenger is up-to-date and therefore my system that I've updated all day

    Help, please

    Thank you

Hello and welcome to the community!

I suggest the following, in order, even if they seem redundant to what you have already tried (steps 1 and 2, each should result in a message to your BB to come...) Please wait for this before moving on to the next step):

    (1) registry HRT

    • KB00510 How to register a BlackBerry smartphone with wireless network

    (2) Service reference books

    • KB02830 Send the directories for the BlackBerry Internet Service

    (3) restart to take batt

    • Each time a random strange behavior or slow creeps, the first thing to do is a battery pop reboot. With power ON, remove the hood back and remove the battery. Wait a minute, then replace the battery and cover. Power on and wait patiently through the long reboot - about 5 minutes. See if things return to functioning. Like all computing devices, BB suffers from memory leaks and others... with a hard reboot is the best remedy.

I hope that will move things again for you! If not, then you must go back and see your provider... they are 100% responsible for the delivery of all services and support for you and you are now paying them for a service they are not a. If they can't fix it, they have the ability to climb it in RIM... you have no free path to obtain support from RIM otherwise than by escalation of your provider. It is a pity they you already brushed off like this, you may have to insist a little with them. You pay their money... they need to offer a service to you.

    Good luck!

  • BlackBerry Smartphones Blackberry Messenger 5.0

I downloaded the 5.0 blackberry messenger and I think it crashed my messenger, I can't select the blackberry messenger icon at all, it does not. You guys could tell me what to do please, or how to remove the new version?

What model of BlackBerry you have, and what OS version is on the device?

Look at the Options > about, third line down, starting with a 'v.4.xxx '.

First of all, to do this:

With the BlackBerry device powered time, remove battery for a few seconds and then reinsert the battery to restart.

    Then try again.

Finally, what the feedback and ideas section of the Forum, your question does not apply. We will have this thread moved the appropriate section of the BlackBerry software.

  • BlackBerry Smartphones BB Messenger disappeared after update

I downloaded the new update to Blackberry Device Software v5.0 yesterday, and I discovered that my Blackberry Messenger has disappeared.  Here's what I tried to get it back (and none of them worked):

1A tried to 'restore' my BBM several times

2 reset (pull out the battery) on my phone several times

    3. delete the "restore BBM" button/option (which, for whatever reason, deleted my application AppWorld) and re-installed BBM

My phone details are below.  If you have any suggestions on how I can fix this, please help!  I love BBM and I would like to start using it again.

Thank you very much in advance!

I found the fix that works is to remove the app BBMessenger Options > Advanced > Applications.

Then restart: with the BlackBerry device powered on, remove the battery a few seconds and then reinsert the battery to restart.

Once back to the top, then use your BlackBerry browser to go to http://www.blackberry.com/blackberrymessenger and download and install the application again.

Once completed and restart the device once again, look in the instant messaging or downloads folder.

I had a request for the blackberry Messenger service that sent a friend, but nothing came on the program to accept it enter my PIN in the add a contact and I have not received anything as I did even his pin code and its display pending

First of all, make sure that you can send messages backward PIN-to-PIN to the other.

When they add you as a contact you will get a message that someone wants to add you as a contact and you need to approve it.

To add a contact to the list of Contacts Messenger BlackBerry, complete the following:

    1. On the BlackBerry smartphone, open BlackBerry Messenger.
    2. Display the menu and click Add a Contact. Select an address screen.

Add a contact to your address book by clicking on the name of the contact. Alternatively, add a new contact by selecting use once, enter the contact email address by clicking on the dial. The contact email address is added.

    3. Display the menu, then select Request Email. Add to that a Message is displayed.
    4. Click OK. Add a Message is sent to the contact. You can customize this invitation before you send it. The contact is added to your contact list once accepted invitation.

It seems that there are some of these discussions on other parties of the forums.

A hoax message circulating on BlackBerry Messenger (BBM) asks users to message BBM to their contacts in order to maintain the BBM service and claims to have been sent originally by Research In Motion (RIM).

Be assured that this BBM message did not come from the RIM and that it does not affect the security of BlackBerry smartphones. It is simply a string of hoax message. Unfortunately, many social networking applications in the face of this scenario, according to which no message, including a hoax message, can be transmitted to a user of one of their contacts. We recommend that users simply ignore the message and do not convey.

English version of the broadcast message illegitimate:
