• BlackBerry Smartphones BB Messenger disappeared after update

  I downloaded the new update to Blackberry Device Software v5.0 yesterday, and I discovered that my Blackberry Messenger has disappeared.  Here's what I tried to get it back (and none of them worked):

  1A tried to 'restore' my BBM several times

  2 reset (pull out the battery) on my phone several times

  3. delete the "restore BBM" button/option (which, for whatever reason, deleted my application AppWorld) and re-installed BBM

  My phone details are below.  If you have any suggestions on how I can fix this, please help!  I love BBM and I would like to start using it again.

  I found the fix that works is to remove the app BBMessenger Options > Advanced > Applications.

  Then restart: with the BlackBerry device powered on, remove the battery a few seconds and then reinsert the battery to restart.

  Once back to the top, then use your BlackBerry browser to go to http://www.blackberry.com/blackberrymessenger and download and install the application again.

  Once completed and restart the device once again, look in the instant messaging or downloads folder.

  The options icon (IE spaner) on my blackberry curve 8520 has disappeared from the ideas how to get it back?

  You can't remove this icon.

  1. on your home screen, press Menu > SHOW ALL, so that ALL DISPLAY is checked.

  All of a sudden I have no BBM on my 9670. I tried to download it again, but the message said that my (OS6) operating system is not supported. I check the OS updates and I'm using the latest version for my device. Help, please. I need my BBM!

  You have no BBM, or there is no BBM icon?  Let's first make sure you he disappeared completely from your phone, then we'll see it reinstalled.

  From your home screen, go to Options > device > management applications and air to BlackBerry Messenger.  If it is listed in the list, select it with the cursor, press the menu key and select Remove.  Now that we are sure he disappeared, the battery while your phone is turned then replace it.

  Your next step is to go to www.blackberry.com/messenger from your phone's browser and download it again from there.  Try and see if you get the same error message.

  I downloaded a new version of BB Appworld a few days ago, and since then my BBM icon and contacts have disappeared. No luck, I looked in the Instant Messaging folder, the apprlications and the downloadswith. I took the battery and released on the phone so many times and failed. When I look in my APPS list, is to show that I have installed the BB Messenger, but then when I click on it, I don't see's comments, recommend and screenshots. I tried to see if I can uninstall and then download it everywhere, but I was not able to do it anymore. I tried to work with the technical support of my carrier without success. Help, please!

  1. On your BlackBerry, go to Options > advanced > Applications.
  2. Highlight BBMessenger and click it, just highlight it.
  3. Press Menu > delete. Leave it to delete.
  4. After that is completed, make a simple reboot on the BlackBerry this way: with smart BlackBerry poweredphone, remove the battery for a minute and then reinsert the battery to restart.
  5. Now, after reboot, use your browser to BlackBerry to access this URL: www.blackberry.com/messenger
  6. Click on the link to download it... don't go back to AppWorld to download, do it right from this URL.

  Let me know what happens.

  I looked and I don't see the same question anywhere so here goes, I last night added a few new themes for my storm, when you add it wanted to update my Blackberry messenger, so I leave it, now, I have the following problem:

  Hello and welcome to the community!

  For some reason, the BBID associated with the device is not the one you want to use. To change the BBID associated, you must WIPE the device and then attach to your desired BBID. Of course, a WIPE will be completely destructive to your configuration and existing data, so you should first back up... you can find instructions at the link in my sig auto on this post.

• BlackBerry Smartphones BB Messenger won't work without a Wi Fi connection

  Have you noticed that I'm unable to send / receive messages unless I am connected to a WiFi network.  I was in Singapore last week and the only way I could use messenger was to use my laptop as a point using Connectify ad yes I had active data roaming, but I get exactly the same problem here in Scotland, if I send a msg, I get the icon 'pending' and nothing happens.  I talked to my service provider (Vodafone UK) today and they said that all of the required functions are in place, at their end settings seem correct, and that I should post something here.  It's really annoying because it is the main reason I bought a Blackberry!

  After a reboot if it still does not work, follow these steps:

  Options > device > advanced system settings > host Routing Table > press the Blackberry Menu button > register now.

  What is the reasoning similarly have a BB Messenger if you have texting? What benefits do I have to have? He asks me to send/terminals, how am I supposed to enter his pin code, if I do not know, or simply e-mail address sufficient? I have unlimited data plan, so this program would work for me, but I'm kinda in the process of learning here, only an owner for a few months. I have a curve 8310 with OS 4.5. I don't have a yahoo account, isn't even necessary?  A lot of questions. FYI I checked the status and available Im so so is my friend. I've asked and also invited me. I received an email on my pc and it supposed to go to my phone, but it didn't. I accepted the invitation, he did the same thing, but it always says "pending" it happened for a week.   Your PIN is automatically entered.

  BlackBerry Messenger has nothing to do with the 'left of emails from the server. It passes through the blackberry DATA network and is free. (being the advantage)

  His PIN2PIN contact between only blackberry devices (and blackberry connect)

  Go to add a contact - put its PIN code in (options > status > PIN)

• BlackBerry Smartphones Email icon disappeared

  Hi everyone and thanks in advance for any help you can give. I am very new to Blackberry and now own the storm. I have a problem with an icon for an e-mail account which seems to have disappeared. Its probably something simple, something I've hit or hurt, but I would like to restore it if I can.

  Initially, it took three e-mail accounts. Each appeared on the view of the "Office" of the storm with their own icon. They worked perfectly for the first 8 days I have had the device. So today, one of the icons of the email simply disappeared. I still get mail on all three. I get the same opinions that I get all the way to (the small square message icon and a number, a (*) on message folder icon and a (*) on the icon for the account of that the email has been sent), but miss me the icon on the desktop for email #3.

  Everything seems to be ok in settings/Email setup I can say.  I tried a soft reboot by removing the battery for a minute and then restart the device, but the e-mail icon was not. Then I tried to delete the email account #3 and put it back. He confirmed the deletion. It reinstalled correctly, and I get by email for this account, as before. But I don't always have this icon on the desktop showing.  I tried a soft reboot. No luck.

  Any advice on how to restore the icon on the desktop?  I like the original configuration, with the main folder of Messages showing and the other three icons email it with her on the first line.

  I found it, there was something in this same menu that says 'Hide', and apparently I checked it somehow. I unchecked it and my folder icon now shows correctly.

  I've been using messenger contacts with a friend who has a blackberry, and all of a sudden I can't see his messages.  I know that it sends because I get this info in the main message list, but I don't see it when I go to the section of blackberry messenger.  I did all the troubleshooting and certainly did not block sound.  Help!

  Under Options > device > application management, which is the Version listed BBM?

  When you go to www.blackberry.com/bbm on your device browser and go into install BBM, do you have a prompt to replace the same version or install a new one?
