Question of graphics acceleration for Workstation 6.5

Hello-

I'm new to VMware and have not been able to find a difinitive re graphics acceleration response in VMware Workstation 6.5

I am running Windows Vista Home Premium on the host (unfortunately) and Win XP reviews.

I have a Nvidia GeForce 9800 512 MB graphics card, but I don't know if he is recognized on the guest operating system.

When I check the system on reviews, I said that my graphics card is VMware SVGA II and when I try to pop in the CD that came with my graphics card to install the drivers, I get a message saying that there is no material on my computer to match the drivers on the CD.

So, in essence, the question is this - I just installed VMware, I have Adobe CS3 on it, and I want the best possible graphics acceleration. If any can / should I do

Thank you very much in advance

-Andrey

P.S. I found some info on this site to enable graphics acceleration by clicking some .vmx file and typing a line of code (I'm not sure what that meant), but it was classified in Workstation 5.5, so I don't know if it is still topical.

In the prompt: right click on the desktop, select Properties.  Settings tab.  Advanced button.  Troubleshoot tab.  Move the slider to the right.

  • Question about graphics cards for Equium L40 - 10 X

HI - new to this, but really cut so I hope someone can help me. !

I bought an Equium L40 - 10 X in August and thought it was good for what I wanted, especially after seeking advice and addressing the 'expert' at my local pcworld.

However, I think that the graphics card is good enough to support the games I got - Medal of honor Warchest, Hitman Triple Pack and Call of Duty 2. They all sem to recommend a graphics card than nVidia as a minimum requirement. The card in the laptop is an Intel (r) 945 Express Chipset Family (I think) and the OS is Vista Home Premium.

I have problems include the loss of graphics and stutter during playback.

Can I have a nVidia graphics card or is the that I've had enough but I just need to change some settings?

Really don't have an idea, so help would be much appreciated!

    Hello Dicker

You are shown how the customer can purchase the wrong product. It may be your fault or due to bad Advisory Service. L40 books are pretty cheap with the average material. This laptop is good for everyday work (Office Automation, writing letters and surfing) but certainly not for the complex graphics applications and games.

Sorry but there is not much to do. Only thing to do is to increase the RAM to the maximum, but forget the graphics card upgrade. Something like this is not possible.

    Good bye

  • display driver intel graphics accelerator driver for windows Vista (r) stopped responding and has recovered?

I recently formatted my laptop (fujitsu siemens) and she ALWAYS had windows 7 installed inside. However, since I formatted, sometimes white people just screen out and I get the message:

  • How does 3D graphic acceleration?

I have a server Dell PowerEdge R900 hex quad-processor 2.33 GHz with 64 GB RAM... a lot of computing power. But the machines I'm interested in virtualization are Android emulators and very demanding from the graphic point of view. Finally, I would like to take a look at some companies of the level graphics accelerated as the K1 NVIDIA GRID under vSphere virtualization solutions but for now it is out of my budget and it is an experience in my garage.

With that of the road, here is the question:

Through experimentation, it seems to me that VMware uses a kind of paravirtualization to provide guests 3D graphic acceleration, because when I was running just the database server, I was able to run 2 VMS simultaneously before performance became a problem. After you add a consumer level NVIDIA PCI-e x 8 2 GB graphics card, I'm able to run 6-7 virtual machines simultaneously. This is partially supported by what I read on VMware is able to emulate a 3D graphics card using the power of the processor. My main screen (on which virtual machines are displayed) is connected to the graphics card NVIDIA HDMI output. I wonder if I should add another identical to this machine graphics card, would be VMware see, use and allow me to extend beyond the limit, which I am currently hitting? If so, was it a report any with where virtual machines are presented, or could I just add the map (without connecting a screen in there) and still have the advantage?

I ask this question on the use of VMware products in general (free player, Player Pro, workstation, etc.), as I suppose that they all work basically the same way.

Thanks in advance for your time and educate me.

Please specify your question. To get answers from experts on the workstation/player, I would go to our community of workstation.

Please check the following KB that describe how to increase the video memory available (svga.vramSize)

In addition, the technology you are looking for is pass-through for GPU hardware acceleration.

Unfortunately, VMware Player and VMware Fusion exploit the GPU for 3D (SVGA) acceleration, but none of them supports GPU transmission.

Benefit from vDGA (live 1-pass-through: 1) or vGPU (shared GPU / 1: n) you must use vSphere 6 in combination with NVIDIA GRID cards.

  • How VMWare supports 3D graphics acceleration?

We want to use virtual system to test our HTML5 performance.

Thus, 3D graphics acceleration is necessary.

But we are new on the 3D graphics technology and this made feather supported in VMWare.

So, my question is, VMWare support Direct3D, OpenGL, or both?

    How active them?

No I'm sorry, you have to build yourself the vmwgfx driver and to work and then you still use a product that is not yet still in beta.

If you are likely to see problems with it, even if you would get to work.

The easy answer with acceleration hardware openGL support for Linux is to wait until it is available to the public.

Gracias of antemanoy a cordial saludo,

    Hi there @jhamaca,

Welcome to the Forums of HP Support!  It's a good place to find the help you need, other users, the HP experts and other members of the support staff. I understand that you are looking for more information on graphics updates for your system. I'm happy to help you with this.

By looking at the motherboard and system specifications: HP Pavilion 22 - h040es TouchSmart all-in-One Desktop PC product specifications, HP and Compaq Desktop PCs - card motherboard (Lavender-U), your system does support not a discrete graphics card at all. The only possible apparent graphics upgrade, is based on the upgrade of the system processor and GPU is integrated into the processor itself. See the table under the heading "Information processor upgrade"

I hope that answers your question about your options and if it does not solve your problem, please mark this message as a solution. Bravo would be appreciated as well.

  • graphic driver for hp pavilion ze2000

Hi new people on this forum it's like this ive got a hp pavilion ze2000 model number ze2251ea. He initially had family on xp Ive updated the memory to two concert and installed win 7 ultimate on it, the prob is I've found all the drivers for it except the graphic driver and drivers of the chipset if anyone can guide me to where I can find them, I'd be most gratfull, PS I think that vista drivers can work on it.

    Hello:

You can use this chipset driver...

    https://Downloadcenter.Intel.com/Detail_Desc.aspx?AGR=Y & DwnldID = 20019 & ProdId = 816 & lang = eng & OSVersion = %0% 09% 09% 09% 09% 09% 09% 09% 09 %0 has % 09% 09% 09% 09% 09% 09% 09 & DownloadType =

The Intel GMA900 graphics card is not 100% Vista or W7 capable.  I can give you the magic trick to make it work so that you can change the resolution of the screen and have the graphics acceleration, but you don't have Windows Aero.

    Here is the workaround...

Download and run this driver.  You will probably get an error not supported operating system.  Conclusion of any windows error.

    http://h20566.www2.HP.com/portal/site/hpsc/template.page/public/PSI/swdDetails/?sp4ts.Oid=447348 & spf_p.tpst = swdMain & spf_p.prp_swdMain=wsrp-navigationalState%3Didx%253D%257CswItem%253Dob_47264_1%257CswEnvOID%253D2096%257CitemLocale%253D%257CswLang%253D%257Cmode%253D%257Caction%253DdriverDocument & javax.portlet.begCacheTok = com.vignette.cachetoken & javax.portlet.endCacheTok = com.vignette.cachetoken

Now, go into Device Manager, expand the category graphics cards.  Click on the VGA Standard card.

Click the driver tab.  Click on set to update driver.  Select her browse my computer for driver software method and navigate to the folder of the driver that was created when you ran the file.

This file will be located in C:\SWSetup\sp34749.  Make sure that the include subfolders is selected, and the driver should install.

After you restart, the graph must be fine - just not Aero.

  • HP Pavilion Elite HPE 547c: upgrade graphics card for HP Elite

I tried to replace/upgrade to update my graphics card for my desktop PC. I tried several video cards, but with each one, once it is installed and the computer turned on, the image does not register with the monitor. Everything else seems to work, but the monitor gives no answer. It was only a problem once the original video card has been removed. The current video card, I am trying to install is the NVIDIA GEFORCE GT 730.

In the course of the years, I added a memory and the power supply has been upgraded, but all the rest are always original parts (http://support.hp.com/us-en/product/HP-Pavilion-Elite-HPE-Desktop-PC-series/5035344/model/5074426/do...

Is this a problem with the other parties, who will need to be replaced or is there something else I forget?

    Thank you.

    Hello

You're dominant, in your case, the most important factor-BIOS compatibility... more recent maps, like the gt730, require the UEFI BIOS to run... you have a LEGACY BIOS system, and cannot do anything, unless you change your motherboard... your pc is a model of early 2011... UEFI standard HP in their systems of end of 2012...

You can watch other maps, if... the 700 series card youre looking at is a maxwell model 2014... There are in this region that come with a feature of hybrid bios which offers wider compatibility on legacy systems... or you can look at maps more old pascal/fermi architecture that work exclusively on legacy BIOS systems...

    Hope this helps

  • Graphics card for Pavilion Slimline s5706f?

Power supply is dead if just installed a new unit of 300W.  I'm now feeling brave and considering a graphics card.  What's out there, this works?  Does not seek high super game or anything like that.  Running Windows 7 64 bit.  Original computer specifications are:

    http://support.HP.com/us-en/document/c02888073

Here are the specifications of your HP Pavilion Slimline s5706f desktop computer and its card mother H-apricot-RS780L-Μatx (apricot). According to the specification, this model does not have a PCIe x 16 graphics card slot or any other slot for graphics card for this question. This system is unable to accept a graphics card. The motherboard contains only two slot PCIe x 1 which are not really evaluated for graphics cards.

    Please send Bravo

  • HP dc7100 CMT: graphics card for hp dc7100 CMT

    Hello

I need a video card for my hp dc7100 CMT.  I use this pc with W7 (32 bit).

I need recommendations for my problem.

On a side note, I would like to add the following: I want a video card that uses a passive cooling (silent video card).

    THX.

    Summary:

    PC: HP dc7100 CMT
OS: Windows 7 Pro (32 bit)

    CPU: Intel (r) Pentium 4 3.00 GHz
    Memory: 3 GB (dual channel)
    -------------------------------------------------------------------------

    Recommended by the expert cards:

-Dell ATI Radeon HD 2400 (for 1 monitor)
-NVIDIA Quadro NVS 290 256 MB (for 2 monitors)

    Recommended by me card (OZZO):

    -Gigabyte Geforce 8500Gt GV-NX85T512HP (for 2 monitors)

    driver: GeForce 341.44 - WHQL (216.5 Mb)

    http://www.GeForce.com/drivers/results/82465

I use this card in my pc for 2 monitors. I have to say: everything went well without any problem to install the card.
I recommend this card to anyone else to use it in a HP dc7100 CMT.

    Windows experience index:

    CPU: 4.1

    Memory (RAM live): 4.7
                     Chart: 4.8 Base score: 4.1

    Games graphics: 5.7

    Hard drive: 5.5

    --------------------------------------------------------------------------
How to install the video card (by Paul Tikkanen):

    http://h30434.www3.HP.com/T5/other-desktop-PC-questions/dc7100-graphics-card/TD-p/1919285

    Installing a video card...

Make sure that you first uninstall the current video driver. Go to the control panel and under the maps section, right-click on your graphics card and choose uninstall. (Remember to check the little box beside the text "remove/delete the driver").

Do not restart, just shut down the PC and unplug it.

Install the new card. Don't forget to plug the video cable of the new card.

Start the PC and it should automatically recognize the new card.

    Install the drivers.

    ----------------------------
Another thing... If your integrated audio system is disabled after the installation of the video card, be not alarmed. The video card comes with HDMI, which means it has a HDMI embedded audio chip.

After installing the drivers, reboot the PC, go into the BIOS and in the menu embedded devices, find the onboard audio setting.  It will be set to auto or off.

Change the setting to "Enabled". Save the setting it by hitting the F10 key, and once again, save the settings and exit.

On reboot, you should have your on-board audio back.

    Peace

  • Intel Graphics Accelerator

I have a HP G72 250US laptop with Windows 7 (64-bit).  Laptop has been stop intermittently. Screen goes black then stops trying to reboot, and sometimes done but the screen is black, so can't see what is on the screen. Other times she just stops completely. Sometimes the screen goes haywire with weird color mixed with pixelated graphics strange horizontal lines then goes black.

Having restarted in safe mode and ran CCleaner and then performed a Hard Reset, which seem to help for the rest of the day, but the next day in the time screen flashed, went black, then came back. This time find a notice but I clicked thinking more information but merely notice go away. It says something about Intel Graphics Accelerator (something? maybe pilot?) has stopped working and has restarted successfully.

I have Intel HD Graphics Driver 8.15.10.2086 version which is what is listed on HP for correct graphic driver. Please notify. Thank you.

    Hey Le_Corbusier,

Thank you for visiting the Forums HP's Support and welcome. I read your thread on your HP laptop and get a blank screen or black at startup. Try perform a reset. When you perform a hard reset note remove all USB devices and remove cards memory card reader location. Disconnect all non-essential devices.

Here is a link to overheatingas it may be the cause of the closure. If the laptop has dust on the fans it might be overheating graphics card. If this does not help at the end of this document it tells you to do a test equipment. The last thing you should try is tothe BIOS was updated.

    I hope this helps.

    Thank you.
