  • can someone tell me how to open port 8090, 8091 and 8092

I have windows vista Home premium with norton 360 and a motorola sbg900 cable modem

    Hi kazt279,

Thank you for writing to Microsoft answers Community Forums.

This port is a somewhat less popular to port 80 to offer alternative to web services. (The most popular alternative port is 8080). Like the 8080, its use in a URL requires explicit "default port override" requires a web browser to connect to port 8080 instead of port 80 by default http.

Its current use and its importance today is due to contiguity to the World Wide Web port80 is super-popular "http". Sometimes a webserver "off the beaten path' will be established to not listen to port 80, but other related port 81, 82, 8080 or 8090. (Associates of proximity or appearance). If port 81 is remarkable today because it is a neighbouring port 80 and is sometimes used as a complement or alternative, in the same way.

However, as we explained in our page for port 80, port 80 is the port of 'default' for the http web Protocol. How, then, if you want to use a different 'port' 81 or 8090, substitute us this value by default to specify port we want?

    http://www.domain.com:81 /.

If we want to replace the default service port that is implied by the Protocol (http), we put a colon (:)) after party of domain name followed by the port, we want to use. The URL above would cause the browser replace its normal use of port 80 for http and instead try to connect to a server that listens to "www.domain.com" for connections on port 81.

If you ever see a URL using this format, with a number after a colon after the field of the URL, you'll know that this URL is asking the browser to connect to a server who listens to incoming connections on the specified rather than the default port.

Since you give exceptions to these ports in the windows firewall or any other firewall of the 3 part, they're not monitored which means that they are susceptible to hackers. I would say activating only not the ports unless it is very important. If you enable them to, of course, you do not keep the important information on this computer.

    I hope this helps.

Let us know if this doesn't work or if you need further assistance.

    Kind regards

  • Help me convince my network administrator to open port 4172 for PCoIP.

As expected, I get some push back from my network administrators regarding the opening of port 4172 for PCoIP Secure Gateway.  I have a meeting with them tomorrow and I'm looking for some good points and information to give them to calm their fears.  Someone has some good information to be transmitted?  Everyone should not justify this to their network team?  How at - it go for you?  Thank you!

As the other poster said PCOIP is already under the AES-128 encryption, so it shouldn't be a big problem.   Check out this blog by Mark Benson for more information.

  • Open ports on the AirPort Extreme 7.7.7

I wonder how to open ports on the AirPort Extreme version 7.7.7.

I spoke to Microsoft some ports I need to open for my Xbox and have the list of ports. I'm looking for how to do this. I have no experience with this sort of thing and I know that I can do in the AirPort Utility application, but I don't want to mess with all that I wouldn't have to. I tried to search online for this guides and I can't find anything that is recent. When I watch videos, everything is a little different and the interface is not quite the same more so any help is appreciated.

I got this Tip for the user of an airport for this situation. Check it out and see if this helps you.

  • Firewall: How to open a port tcp inside and out on a single line

How can we combine the firewall command to open port 80 to tcp in and tcp out without having to publish twice?

    esxcfg-firewall - o 80, tcp, out, web

N ° because it is a completely different situation.

When you open in port - allow you to access port 80 on the local computer from the network. When you open port - allow you to access port 80 on remote computers from the local computer. Usually there is no need to open the ports both in.

MacBook Pro (retina, 15 inches, beginning 2013) El Capitan 10.11.3, Simple question here: I can't open FinalCut Express (4, I believe). The wheel turns for hours. How can I install/uninstall and will I lose all my old films (for the most part stored on external hard drives). Thanks for your suggestions.

You will not lose anything, but the app if you uninstall. If you decide to uninstall use this app to make sure that all the other files which depends on FCE are also deleted however I can't give you any assurance as to whether you will be able to reinstall so that it works correctly. It is a software that has not been supported for almost 5 years and there are conflicting reports as to its compatibility with OS X 10.11. Can't I test it myself.

Maybe someone else will chime in with their own experiences.

  • I can't figure out how to open the port of CD.

    * Original title: CD player

I can't figure out how to open the port of CD. There are no buttons, and online forums have not helped. Any suggestions?

Of course - just go on this PC (or computer) and r / click on the DVD/CD drive - you should see "eject" as shown below. Usually there will be a button in the center of the disc too... but sometimes well hidden tray! -Ric.

  • open ports to prevent blocking of communicate with the firewall network

I'm putting in place an at & t 3 g microcell to improve my cell phone home reception. He did not yet.the next step tells me toopen the following ports to prevent the firewall to block communication with the network.

    123/udp

    443/tcp

    4500/udp

    500/udp

    4500/udp

This device connects directly to your router, so these directions mean probably you need to open these ports in your router firewall.  To help you on this subject, you will have to identify the make and model of your router.  Please do not guess; Look at the label on the device - and include any number of version mentioned on the label.

It is also important to provide a link to the source of these directions, whereas user manualdirections to put in place the AT & T 3 G Microcell includes any discussion at all on "open ports".

If you do not have a link but that someone has sent you an e-mail or a document with these indications, copy and paste them into your next response here, so we will have a better idea of what could be the issue.
