• Question of port USB E3200

  Sorry if this question has already been addressed, but I couldn't find anywhere. I have a western digital 2 TB USB drive. It works fine on my intranet (my laptops and other devices can access). I have a sticky Ip address and would like to be able to access my drive to my work, but I don't know how to set up or if it can be put in place to work. USB possible transmitted port? I have the router E3200, Windows 7 operating system (if necessary)

  What you want to do is go to FTP server area of the router on the @192.168.1.1 Storage tab and configure the port to use and what part of the disk that you want to share. Here's a guide for this.

  Also, make sure that you have chosen a password for the administrator account on the storage. If I remember correctly, it is different from the router password you choose.

  Then all you have to do is to get an FTP client and type the user name "admin" password, IP address and port number. FileZilla client is a good program.

  If you want to use a web browser, the format is ftp://youripaddress: Port number

  Don't forget to use your public IP (displayed in the status tab of the router) or you can set up a free dyndns account to make the format ftp://selected_url: Port number. In other words, unless you do not have a problem in recalling your static public IP address

• UC560 IVR and CTF GSM questions about port FXO.

  I have a UC560 facility with the following two questions:

  1. with regard to the SVI, I have a random behavior of no response bounded as follows: the incoming call is received (I see it in the terminal monitor) but the IVR does not. It looks like a bug, but I'm not sure. As a first step of troubleshooting, I placed a call directly to the internal IVR number from a phone from within the office by dialing the 398 and the behavior is the same. No reason repeated about non-response. Could be a both or each ten trials. Is it possible to upgrade the SVI to a new version?

  2. regarding a CTF GSM device that is connected to a port FXO on the UC560, the behavior is as follows: during a call incoming call from a mobile phone to the number of mobile phone of the CTF, and the IVR plays the answer recorded with menu options. OK so far. But if the calling person chooses to end the call, this action is taken by the CPU, recorded response continues to play until the end and then the Secretary phone sounds.

  I installed my oracle 11g enterprise edition only once with success, and I've never uninstalled it. The problem was strange, the day before yesterday that everything worked well, just yesterday morning after I started my computer, then I went to our services in order to start OracleserviceORCL, at the same time I noticed that the listener was not starting. Once I start the listener, it will automaticlly "stop". I couldn't understand why, it was really really frustrated. I googled a lot, but I have some information, but none of them give me a clear answer. I don't know how and what to do.
  I use developer sql to access a remote database account, but not my own Oracle database account. I can still access my data back, it means that my oracle database is always good. What happened to the listener? What should I do next? Please help me. Thanks to all in advance and happy Thanksgiving!

  Set permissions on referenced dir:

  sntuscrt: cannot create dir /var/tmp/.oracle

  Tip: instead of posting/check together .trc file content, it is often enough to write the article nserror and a few lines before, at least to start with.

• AutoConfig questions with other Oracle homes

  My sight:
  (1) oracle Apps 11.5.10.2 on Node1.
  (2) DB oracle 10.2.5.0 on node2 + Oracle 11 g. Tg4msql (works well).
  
  Due to certain requirements of patch, we applied a rollup of HR about 550 M, we run Autoconfig on nodes of DBNode/APPS, Patch applied successfully, improved features.
  
  Question:
  May be due to the configuration entry, automatic Tg4msql DB (tnsnames.ora) got deleted and the Tg4msql listener begin also using the DB listener.ora file. and we get the following error.

  Unable to retrieve text of NETWORK/NCR message 65535
  ORA-02063: preceding 2 lines from DBLINKTEST

  Entry dg4msql checked and added in DB (tnsnames.ora), set Tg4msql environment, started listener, listener goes again to DB (listener.ora), then set TNS_ADMIN and power Tg4msql listener, listener began with the correct file, even then we get the same error.
  
  All this screenplay is on a TEST server, but due to a task very urgent, I have to restore before patch backup on test server and everything works fine.
  
  Please, suggest, as I apply cumulative HR in Production very soon.

  I built my Middleware on Linux 64-bit test. Note that the 32-bit version allows to run Forms and Reports Developer.

  Beware of pre-installation tasks

  Install the Oracle database
  Linux RCU (repository creation utility)

  Database

  Use an existing database. (And it worked)

  My test was divided into four main parts: (in this order)

  Installation of the regional coordination unit
  WebLogic Server Install
  Install JRocket
  Forms and reports Install

  According to me, it took me two or three times to do things. (or at least work)

  Yes, the "full" client package is available in the downloads / database and has a name like this:

  Assuming a configuration which consists of 2 redo log groups (groups A and B), each group of 2 disks (disks A1 and A2 for Group A) and B1 and B2 disks for Group B. Additionally, assume that each redo log file resides by itself in a disk storage device and that the device is dedicated to her. So in the situation described above, there are 4 discs, one for each redo log file, and each disc contains nothing other than a redo log file. Also, assume that the database is in ARCHIVELOG mode and the files from archive is stored on another different set of devices.

  The question is: when the disks that make up the Group A are filled and Oracle switches to the disks in the Group B, can the group drives to take offline, perhaps even physically removed from the system if necessary without affecting the functioning of the database? Can the archiver process temporarily delayed until the disks (which have been removed) are presented online or is the DBA have to wait until the end of the process to archive a copy of the redo log file creating in archive?

  To remove a group of online redo logs, you must have the ALTER DATABASE system privilege. Before you delete a line redo log group, consider the following precautions and restrictions:

  * An instance requires at least two groups of files logging online, regardless of the number of members in the groups. (A group is one or more members.)
  * You can delete a group of newspapers online redo only if it is inactive. If you need to drop the current group, first force a log switch occurs.
  * Make sure a group of online redo logs is archived (if archiving is enabled) before dropping. To see if this happens, use the view LOG V$.

  Delete a group of newspapers online redo with the SQL ALTER DATABASE statement with the DROP LOGFILE clause.

  The following statement drops redo log group number 3:

  ALTER DATABASE, DROP LOGFILE GROUP 3;

  When a group of online redo logs is deleted from the database, and you do not use Oracle managed files, operating system files are not removed from the disk. Instead, control of the associated database files are updated to remove members of the Group of the database structure. After deleting a group of online redo logs, make sure the drop completed successfully and then use the command of operating system appropriate to delete the dropped online redo log files.

  When you work with files managed by Oracle, the cleaning of operating system files is done automatically for you.
  Your database will not be affected as you can work with 2 files, redo log in each group, as the minimum number of redo log in a database file is two because the process LGWR (newspaper writer) writes in the redo log in a circular way. If the process crashes because you have 2 groups only if you want to remove 1 Add a third and make that the current group and remove the one you want to be offline.

  I have a question about Oracle database Resource Management (DRM) for Oracle Database 10 g. I had an incident which, in a development/UAT environment (different instances, same box, don't ask), a developer wrote a wrong SQL statement that consumed 99% of the CPU. Currently, there is no limit of resources on two cases of db, and the developers don't want limits. However, my manager wants a method to prevent something like this does not happen. If I use the Oracle database resources management, create a consumer group (called "DevEnv") at 40% CPU usage, what will happen if a user of DevEnv runs a bad SQL statement that normally consumes 90% CPU again? Anyone would take a different approach? Thank you.

• Quick question on one Oracle development environment

  This should be a quick and simple question. I could swear that someone told me that there is something that I can download that will allow me to set up an Oracle environment mini on my computer can I use to create my own databases, etc., but for the life of me, I don't remember what it was called or where to find it. Can someone help me to jog my memory? I just need to be able to have read/write access in a database to create examples of tables with sample data to test a query on a small scale to make sure it works before running it on the production environment.

  However, I guess that this device can be connected to a USB port and then a virtual COM port will be created.

• Portege R500 - question of Port Replicator

  I just bought a PA3603U-1PRP (mainly) to connect an external monitor, a keyboard and mouse wireless to my Portege R-500.
  Once attached to the port replicator (after startup) the HARD drive password prompt appears on the external monitor.

  However, until I get the password for HARD drive on the laptop the wireless keyboard keyboard is frozen (can not enter anything).

  Once I get the password for HARD drive on the laptop itself the external monitor, keyboard, and mouse work fine.

  Is there a setting/reason when the port replicator is attached to the laptop that I can not enter the password HARD drive on the wireless keyboard?

  Try updating the BIOS R500 and the display driver. Also try reinstalling the driver of the Extensions of the Mobile or Toshiba Value Package added.
