Question of SDHC blackBerry Smartphones

I have a 8 GB SD micro card for my blackberry pearl 8130. Well, I also have a standard 2 gig. To me, it seems that via usb port of the BB, the gig 2 has a faster than 8 transfer rate. A 100 song meg takes less than a minute for the 2 concert, while the 8 GB takes around 2-3 minutes. Is the card itself or the blackberry? [btw, the 8 GB has a '4' as the speed] I should buy a usb micro SD card reader?

If nothing else it eliminates another device to route transfers

I can drag and drop songs 668 to my card in less than 4 min (card reader)

On the Blackberry 6-8, what is the difference, you must be more hurry

than me

I always get the card reader, it's cheap and convenient

Thank you

If you need more information, please ask!

If this is not the case, take a moment to address the message, OK?

Thank you

  • Question of the blackBerry Smartphones Blackberry ID on "BOLD" again.

I changed to a BB BOLD 9900, can't remember the password to my ID and have no idea what the answer to the security question. My camera said go online and I can reset the password with the duty to remember the security question. I can't do it, he wants the issue of security. Now he has locked me twice. Help, please!

    Thanks for the clarification...

I passed to the KB26361 and followed the process, it says. Always BB wants a password recovery question answered.

Well, you used, regarding this KB, the word "process", which is the singular form of the word. However, that particular KB contains multiple processes, so I can't say with certainty if you continued through it to the specific method for failing to provide the answer to the security question, with the 'Note', it contains regarding the absence of having already (in the past) confirmed the BB ID... and, if no, then indeed the security issue cannot be circumvented.

Please specify if you have indeed found and tried this specific section in this KB.

    davcolpitts wrote:

I don't know what it means the Blackberry ID has not confirmed. How can it be confirmed when it was used on the old BB.

When you create a BBID account, you will receive an email, with a link that you must click to confirm your account (in order to validate, for the system, which you are actually available on this email address). But, if you ignore this request for confirmation, you don't stop using your BBID... for various purposes, but this effect (to automatically recover access to your BBID) is indeed blocked unless you know the answer to the Security Question you created originally (as part of the validation of identity, to ensure that you are who you claim to be).

Since you can now connect in your BBID from anywhere (for example, PC/browser), you can now check the status of your BBID confirmation. Until you solve the access to your BBID, you can't do anything with it now. BBID, like all things BB, is very safe... but the human component is critical for safety. When the human component fails, there is only so that the automatic recovery process can do to help... and you seem to be in a situation that is beyond what those automated recovery process can do.

  • Question deleted BBM blackBerry Smartphones

    Hello.

I have looked on the internet and was unable to find an answer to my question and the RIM returned to my e-mail and directed me to this forum.

My question is whether delete BBM messages can be retrieved from the backend to the police if they have a warrant or other order of the Court (for example, a production order).  I know that once the user can not recovered their the BBM messages are deleted, I wonder whether or not law enforcement can recover for a file, they are working on that.

If anyone knows the answer I'll be very grateful.

    Thank you!

BlackBerry Messenger messages are stored locally on the device that received the message. These messages are not stored on a remote server any.

Once the message is removed from the device, it is gone and cannot be reterived.

    See you soon,.

  • Questions a few blackBerry Smartphones

OK so recently I got my Pearl like a hand down from Dad (he got the new "BOLD" through his company) and I have a few questions.

First of all, I am on OS 4.5.0.110 and Desktop Manager wants me to update to 4.5.0.182

Is this safe to do? The Pearl is an old phone and I just download Desktop Manager yesterday so I don't want to risk bricking by putting new software on an old phone.

Secondly, I was doing some research on the maximum media card formats, and I found a link to another thread on this site that said

    "

BlackBerry Device Software media card size limit

BlackBerry Device Software 4.2.0 up to 2 GB

BlackBerry Device Software 4.2.1 up to 4 GB

BlackBerry Device Software 4.2.2 up to 4 GB

BlackBerry Device Software 4.3.0 up to 8 GB

BlackBerry Device Software 4.5.0 up to 8 GB

BlackBerry Device Software 4.5.0.81 and more up to 16 GB

BlackBerry Device Software 4.6.0 and later up to 32 GB

    "

However, it was the storm article... do these same limitations apply to the Pearl 8100?

and if the answer to the above time? "s is Yes, so is it possible for me to update to 4.6 so I can use a 32 GB card?"

What BlackBerry Pearl you have (look at the Options > about, the top line)?

Yes, you can upgrade the operating system of the device. I would recommend doing thie way I posted below, rather than by Desktop Manager... much safer in my opinion.

If the unit works well for you, no problem, you can not upgrade.

There is no OS 4.6 for the 81xx Pearl series. The highest is 4.5.0.xxx, so 16 GB is the largest map of support for the device.

  • 10 Question about 10 Blackberry Smartphones BlackBerry

I looked for a new blackberry, and I really like the specifications and the camera for the Q10.

But I tried the new OS for Blackberry 10 to my mobile phone operator, and I really don't like the gesture-based interface.

I wonder if it is possible to buy a Q10 and then downgrade to an older OS - like maybe OS 7 or 6.

    Help, please

I have already answered in your other thread. There's no option to downgrade from OS10 on Q10.

  • QUESTIONS of BBM blackBerry Smartphones (9300)

    Hello!

I want to ask you if the BBM requires a plan of a network provider or can be free to use wifi?

I just upgraded my BBM and tried setting up, but after like step 2, it seems just empty. I tried to plug in on my facebook, but it tells me that my radio is off and I need to turn first. I don't know even what 'radio' the thing speaks!

    Thanks in advance!

    Hello miochan984

Yes, we must... use BlackBerry Messenger and many other BlackBerry applications on our BlackBerry devices we need a specific Plan of BlackBerry data / BIS of our carrier or service provider of network even in wifi.

Once you enable it, you can use these apps on your mobile network as well as on the wifi with no problems.

On your device Homescreen go in manage connections > make sure Mobile network is marked or checked.

  • Question from Newbie blackBerry Smartphone memory card

I have recently entered the world of BB and am happy with my curve 8330 from Sprint. I am down encryption and have scoured all the online info, I can find as well as the manual. I'm barely scratching the surface of all uses and features, and while I am old guy when it comes to computers (50) and am not an expert, I'm not afraid of technology either and am eager to learn. I have a few simple questions (I hope) that I could use some help/advice for.

    (1) the BB came with a 1 GB card and I also bought a 2 GB card. If I want to change the 2 GB card, I have to do and what items/app will be affected by the swap? I'm not sure if the BB has an internal memory and the memory card, and what exactly is used to by the BB memory card. And what are the benefits to upgrade me to the 2 GB card;

    (2) If an email I rec'v has an attachment which is a video, I can't play (although no problems with photo attachments) is at - it an app I want to download on the BB for videos, and if so how can I do this and where to get the application? I've never downloaded an app on the BB before and am not sure exactly how do;

    (3) is at - he an advtage to connect to a Wifi hotspot from your mobile operator in some cases and my 8330 allows a wifi connection and how do I configure it if so.

Thanks for anyadvice and help that you can lend... I'm new to this but am fascinated by the possibilities.

If media files are on your device memory, it just load Media Manager into the Desktop Manager and move on.

  • Question of fixing blackBerry Smartphones

I can't open an attachment on my curve 8300.  Is it because when I loaded Office Manager I didn't load the media manager?  I don't load the mm because of the problems I've read in the forums.

Hmm... something needs to happen due to the fact of sending me an e-mail to myself from the same computer.  sent from my yahoo account had no problem.  so there must be something on our server.  so the question is basically resolved, but I did before with my old BB (different society, different server)... sigh.  So who gets the congratulations, because I helped me... (no Cubs bf jokes)

  • Group question Outlook of blackBerry Smartphones

I have two groups of contact created in Outlook, one for my personal contacts and who is the public address book. After my "BOLD" with the BES synchronized, all my contacts appear in a group. If I go to the filter, I have the possibility of personal and business. Is it possible to have the groups in Outlook apply on the Blackberry? I see that you can create groups on the device, but I won't go through all of the contacts and sort them.

You create categories in Outlook and after synchronization with the device through blackberry desktop Manager

  • Questions about updates blackBerry Smartphones

Hello, I'm a little new to this forum, but I managed to download the new update for the 4, 5V for my BB 8310 curve but my question is that if the sms will always be these points when I'm reading or replying to someone, they are to the left of the date of the message [when you open the message]. the address book can not be changed, I mean look, can we change it?

and I'm so sorry to bother so much, but also I have a memory card on my BB and it seems that when I listen to music or use the camera, it clears my sms and mms completely, I wondered why, if my set to mass storage. What can I do to not keep losing my messages.

    Thank you!

The points in SMS mode is common and cannot be changed.

You are facing constraints of memory in your device. Due to which SMS/MMS/Call Logs are received in your device, but for a short memory that they have been deleted, you can still see the.

    Perform the following steps-

    1. Give a soft reset by removing the battery for 30 sec.
    2. Check the amount of memory is free in your device to Options -> status -> free memory. To view all aspects of database go to Option -> status -> click on the Menu button and then select the database size
    3. Remove the less frequently used application. To remove go to Options -> Advanced Options -> Applications -> highlight the application you want to delete-> click Menu , and then select Remove
    4. If you stored your image in the memory of the device to move them to your card.
