• [newbie question] JavaCard simulator - JCOP cards

  Hello

  I just started developing my first javacard applet and I'm stuck with a few questions:

  • First of all, I would like to simulate the applet with the Eclipse plugin, but as far as I understand, most of the cryptographic primitives (1024-bit RSA, ECDSA,...) is not supported the JCWDE Simulator. I also tried jCardSim, which has great cryptographic support, but apparently does not support extended APDU... How to develop and test your applets?

  Is there a simulator that supports the specification complete javacard 2.2.2? For example, I heard about JCOPtool but did not find much info... Is there a simulator with full support?

  • According to certain specifications for the JCOP J2A080 javacard I found (http://www.commoncriteriaportal.org/files/epfiles/0674b_pdf.pdf), this card supports ECC on GF (p) for the keys up to 320 bits, as well as SHA - 256. This means that the card supports the signing mode ECDSA such as ALG_ECDSA_SHA256, given that this mode is not part of the specification of the javacard 2.2.2 API (as far as I can see: http://www.win.tue.nl/pinpasjc/docs/apis/jc222/javacard/security/Signature.html#ALG_ECDSA_SHA ).

  Do you know where I can find a good overview of the javacard specifications and where to buy javacards in small quantities (10-50)?

  NXP has still the JCOP environment in active development, but he can't give everyone access to the tools. These tools include a simulator complete functions with debugging support. Maybe this isn't such a bad idea to contact them. For small amounts of cards, you must however try and find a dealer of the cards. A quick search on Google found to buy Smart SDK here, cards card base, JAVA, Mifare fingerprints digital... Note that as long as you don't block cards Manager or to destroy the cards otherwise, you can reuse the cards. Tests are normally made using the Simulator anyway.

  ECDSA with SHA256 can certainly be implemented on JCOP J2A80. Once again, please contact NXP for more details.

• Strange sound behavior... question of Simulator?

  I have an app where I replied the cowbell with their C + c++ demo / .pro files (except my context property is "app") and ImageButtons to call sounds so much like the demo of Bell, I have:

  It will play a sound, but sometimes my file "bark1.wav" sounds deaf/one time sometimes and other times sounds as it should.  Another similar button, I use the "meow.wav" and no sound at all out.  As a last test, I used the "moo.wav" of the demo, and which works better (less muffled survey / playing each time).  So is this my .wav files? (They all work fine on Windows Media Player)  What is the Simulator?  Thoughts?

  I'm new on the BlackBerry community, the development of BlackBerry et al. Today, I downloaded the SDK to test the Tablet Simulator 0.9.2 but I already spent several hours trying to get something to run without success.

  The Simulator is installed without any apparent problems. I have read the forums today and I had none of the problems that others have mentioned, as a screen freezes or problems during startup.

  I use a trial version of VMWare Fusion 3.1.2 on Mac OS X 10.6.6.

  I don't have Adobe Flash Builder, so I use TextWrangler. I wrote an applescript script which, during the recording of my actionscript file, called a perl script (I know, sounds redundant, but it works) and fact the compilation for me as posted by Taylor Byrnes (amxmlc, blackberry-airpackager). I'm able to talk to the simulator that my output from compilation shows any errors (as far as I know), but my application appear in the Simulator without the icon that I have provided.

  When the application is started, all I get is a white screen off-center without content about it.

  I've also compiled the HelloWorld example provided. What I received was another app in the Simulator with the default icon that does exactly the same thing: a biased white screen. Whenever I have recompile a script with minor changes, the icons in the Simulator flash for a millisecond, and then I get the same off white screen.

  Someone knows something like that? Clues?

  There is obviously something I have to hurt. I can put my arguments to command-line and script if that helps. I tested my swf file in the Flash Player application and it shows. All what I have there is a red dwarf with a TextField on the top.

  Are there spaces in folder names anywhere in the path to your project on your computer?  If so try to migrate your development to a folder that has no space in any folder named everywhere in its path.  Maybe it's not the cause of the problem, but in all cases, you should remove it as a possibility.  Windows users are discouraged to use the directory C:\Documents and Settings typical for Playbook dirs project.

  The other thing that went off to the top of some people using versions of command line is picky how the tools are.  In your command line, try using the - C option, and make sure it's between - package .bar and installApp -:

  I.e. instead of:

  blackberry-airpackager -package HelloWorld.bar -installApp -launchApp HelloWorld-app.xml HelloWorld.swf [ICON FILE NAME] -device [PLAYBOOK IP ADDRESS] -password [SIMULATOR PASSWORD]
  

  follow these steps:

  blackberry-airpackager -package HelloWorld.bar -C [YOUR PROJECT WORKING DIR} -installApp -launchApp HelloWorld-app.xml HelloWorld.swf [ICON FILE NAME] -device [PLAYBOOK IP ADDRESS] -password [SIMULATOR PASSWORD]
  

  The airpackager in the SDK 0.9.1 was picky about the order of the command line options.  I'm still not on 0.9.2 but see nothing in the notes to having fixed them thereon.

  Edit: Note; I've never had a center off white screen w/all of my command line compiling adventures, but before I got the mantra of the 'proper' command line, I got apps that showed a splash screen and then just went.  I'm on Windows (XP SP3), btw.

  I am a new user of Captivate trying to create 2 to 3 min. of training videos on how to use a business application. My question is simple. I think that the video would be much better if the user did not have to hear every mouse click (in fact the screenshot being created I think). Is it possible to inhibit this noise?

  You can turn off the clicking sound in the mouse for each slide object settings.  This must be done individually.

• Can't see image Simulator in the Simulator window

  I have the eclipse plugin and when I run an app in the Simulator, simulator window appears and it is empty.  I use the Edit-> copy instant camera and then 'paste' in the painting and the image of the phone rises.  I looked around and I can't find another post with this problem, so any help would be appreciated.

  I develop a simple application that opens a socket with a proxy to connect to the http server and do themselves of it.

  Develop an environment:

  The proxy is a virtual machine that is running on the development computer, but has another net. My pc has net.1 and the virtual machine net.31

  The blackberry is a simulator of 9700 and MDS - CS active.

  Socket connection

  If I try to connect to the http server in the LAN, it works fine. The connect responds too 200 and 200, get answers.

  But when I try to connect to the http server is in internet, connect 200 responses and the EEG is unresponsive, I do a _in.ready wait loop and is never true.

  The same application on windows works fine in local network and internet.

  Is a question of Simulator? Is a problem of network delay?

  You try to establish a direct connection TCP or Wifi? deviceside = true (direct TCP) and = wifi interface should not be used together.

  The get request makes it to the web server?  Are you able to connect to the web server using the BlackBerry browser?

• How to change the default color for the text label

  I have a question, Z10 Simulator has the default theme of the white background & Q10 thoroughly black theme, if I put a white background of the page, & txt for the label by default color is black on Z10 is good, but the same page on Simulator of Q10 has cause there default label text color is light (white grey) which is not visible.

  It is a way to set the color of the default text of all labels in an application.

  I think the best way is to use the same theme in both the model Z10 and bright theme Q10 or dark theme.

• Time increasing while sending data via http repeatedly on the storm

  My application sends data (in general, this is a picture of ~ 1200 Kb) to the server via http.

  The data are sent ok, but the when I send data several times (without leaving the application) the time devoted to writing the data in the outputStream develops. On first use, it takes usually ~ 50 seconds, the second seconds of ~ 70, the third seconds from ~ 100... I see this problem only on the storm, others (Curve 8900, Bold, Tour) are OK.   I thought it may be a memory problem, so I manually cancel xmlBytes, but which does not solve the problem.

  Fortunately, I have just fixed the problem. The problem was not in the code above, but in the code that made the xmlBytes. I converted bytes of the image base64 and looks like I did it dangerously on the use of the memory.

  Hello. I have an Instrument Simulator NOR I've tested using the test panel VISA to the MAX to test. "I'm not sure of what is happening but when I ask a simple * IDN?, read 00062\r\n. Then, when I ask it again, it reads "National\sInstruments\sGPIB\sand\sSerial\sDevice\sSimulator\sRev\sB.1\n". When I ask it again, it rereads the '00062\r\n '. He flip-flops between the two with each request. It is to me that I need to question constantly twice, in order to obtain the desired data read? I don't know how to put this in a Vi. I tried a lot of different things, but it always the same fate. Even if I delete the registry and tried an individual entry and read, then it does the same thing. Is this normal and how do I do this in Vi?

• Software Simulation lines random question on slides

  I work in Captivate 9 and I have a few slides in my project which are software simulation slides.  I used the slide button to start the software simulation.  When I saw my software simulation in Captivate in HTML5, it looks great.  When I post for others to look at the ReviewMyElearning, there are random lines that go through the slides.  I tried recording on different browsers and even on another computer, and nothing has worked.  These lines went away after I re-recorded, but are back once again after I cleared my cache for an unrelated question.   These lines randomly through the slides of simulation are only on the last few slides, and are in the same place on each of the relevant slides.

  You can check the preferences of project size and quality settings? Don't forget to uncheck the option "Advanced project Compression" and the "compress SWF file. Then publish again and check if the problem is still there.

• Questions of numbering in an assessment w / Simulations

  I'm creating an assessment which has a variety of slides in normal question - and it also has simulations.

  Thus, for example, question 1 (slide 1) is a true/false question 2 (slide 2) is a multiple-choice questionnaire, question 3 (3-10 slides) is a simulation, issue 4 (page 11) is a true/false. That is the problem - the simulation is not "count" as an issue. The slides that I actually put in as 'normal' question slides all do. So the problem, this is when the user gets to question 4 (page 11), the slide still says 'Question 3 of 3' - that is, it is besides the simulation as a question.

  So, what I could do is to just all simulations at the end... but is there a better solution? Is there no workaround that I can use to 'make' the simulation appear / are counted as an issue?

  You will need to know that question slides are a little different, and indeed the meter for quiz counts only the 'real' question slides

  Solution: create your legend of appropriate text for Question slides and other slides. Although you can not put a few interactive objects on Question slides, you can always add a text caption. Disable 'Show progress' in the Quiz settings, so you'll get rid of the default ' issue x of y "." If you are using variable CP4 might help you.
