Question on my Dell 530 s HDMI

I have a 530 s Dell and am having a problem with my system & video cards this HDMI function. I have the latest BIOS installed [1.0.18] update. Everything is good, except when I try to use HDMI. I tried every way successfully use HDMI function. It works when a card is connected [DVI to HDMI and HDMI to DVI]. However, when you use a HDMI to HDMI cable, strangely, it has no HDMI signal. This happens with the new ATI HD5450 and cards NVIDIA GT620.

I read about the problems with this version of the BIOS and HDMI. Apparently others have had problems with starting the system upward with the HDMI cable is connected. The fix suggested for this situation was to install [downgrade] to an earlier version of BIOS. However, there are problems in doing this, as the Dell system rejects the attempt to install a previous version. I tried to install the 1.0.1 update BIOS version without success, as my system rejected to install the update. Also, here, try to force the installation, I tried every way to install from the prompt without success.

I am a novice at this stuff. Yet, want help to be able to properly use the video card with HDMI to HDMI. When you use the DVI to HDMI it works, Yes, but the audio is lost. Any ideas anyone?

Thanks for the replies. Just a tip: I feel like a fool, I finally thought to it. The last thing I tried, last night was another HDMI cable. Those that I used was new and still in the package before I tried them. But they were "el cheap - os." Last resort, my friend brought over for me to try Monster HDMI cable. And it worked!

If it is in fact a HDMI input, what is - this really for?  What devices that require an HDMI port to send the signal to the computer.

I am so confuse with it, and why even do a HDMI input and not a HDMI output?

    Thanks in advance

I have an Inspiron One 2330 Touch.

Other features include an HDMI port... A HDMI-IN port. It would be something like a Blu - Ray player, cable box or DVR amp HDMI out, Tablet... something like that... like the Inspiron is a simple monitor or HDTV.

I was also surprised that the video output was only a VGA 15 pins. Maybe the next model will have a DVI output. At least this way, either natively or with a converter inexpensive... you can drive DVI, VGA or HDMI even (with no sound). DisplayPort is a versatile alternative.

In your case... If your template does not output a VGA (or your second monitor is not a VGA input)... you should be able to get a "USB video card.

    Hi Rauls,

XPS 14z has a mini DisplayPort located next to the HDMI port. You will need to use a min-DisplayPort to DisplayPort cable to connect the monitor to the laptop.

You will need to use a DisplayPort HDMI converter / as provided in the link below, if you want to connect the monitor to the HDMI port:

  • Question I look at KODI cable HDMI MacBook Pro 13"

Hello, I have a MacBook Pro 13 inch with the retina display; 2.9 GHz Intel Core i5 processor and an a 6100 Graphics Iris Intel running iOS EL Capitan 10.11.3.

My MBPro has an HDMI port that I'm supposed to be able to connect to and watch on my TV. When I connect the HDMI to the TV, I met a few scenarios.

My desk top appears on the TV (even if it is a modified version of my office, in what most of my icons are not displayed)

I can hear the show on television but not to see the movie on the TV; KODO always plays on the MBPro.

I can watch on my MBPro KODI but I would prefer to watch on the big screen.

    I tried:

    connection cable before I start,

cable connection during execution of KODI

go to System Preferences / display and AirPlay of selection and non-selection and mirrored and I really have no idea if anything else that I can solve this problem.

    Help, please.

With the connected HDMI, available to the default view will be a desktop for your Mac and one for the TV.

You can drag the window from application KODO to the TV screen to see her there. See System Preferences > monitors > Arrangement to see where the TV is set, probably to the right of the screen of the Mac. You can also drag TV to a favorite place there too.

Alternatively, if you select mirror display in System Preferences > displays both screens will display the same content.

I put processors Dual quad X 5300 inside?

    Yes: http://www.dell.com/downloads/global/products/precn/en/spec_precn_690_en.pdf

What are the chances of getting work Windows 2008? What are the chances of getting work Windows 2012?

Good, but this is not guaranteed. It takes the server processors does not mean that it will support server operating systems. The details have never wanted to be servers - workstations. There is a good chance that you can load a server operating system and have it work perfectly, but there is also a chance that some of the equipment is the only quality work station and don't have drivers that will work correctly.

Will be one of the Socket 771 X53XX Xeons in there?

-What? Adapt? Work? 771 all fit, but not all of the 5300 X may work. See the data sheet above. 5300 X are supported, but not necessarily all of them. The data sheet says "up to" 1300 MHz and 2x4MB / 8MB, which means that if all processors X 5300 exceed these specifications, they may not work (unless the support has been added specifically through the BIOS update).

  • Question of graphics Dell Studio XPS 8100

I plan to upgrade my desktop computer Dell Studio XPS 8100 with a new graphics card, so that I can play new games such as Skyrim and Star Wars the old republic.

Can someone tell me which of these cards is best for this purpose, corresponds to my computer and if other changes are needed (ideally no)?

    EVGA GTX 550 VGA (GDDR5, PCI-Express, 2 GB)
    Sapphire 6750 (PCI Express, DDR3, 2 GB)
    Sapphire 6790 (PCI-Express, GDDR5, 1 GB)
PALIT GTX 550 Ti (GDDR5, PCI Express, 1 GB)

    Thanks in advance,

    Sikkaech

Based on the recommended for Skyrim card, you will need to go with the HD 6790 or GTX 550 it.  However, your biggest problem is food that is only 350 watts.  For all these cards, a higher power is recommended by the manufacturer.  The HD 6790 is the best on the list with the GTX 550 Ti in 2nd.  I'll take the other two on your list because they would fall the recommended card, but they would always play the games.   I would recommend if you upgrade the power supply to go with a unit of minimum mark of 500 watts with the necessary connections.

Skyrim recommended card: 1 GB RAM NVIDIA or AMD ATI video card (Nvidia GeForce GTX 260 or higher; ATI Radeon 4890 or higher).  Old video card then the ones I showed would be comparable.

If you choose not to change your diet, a GTS 450 or HD 6750 can work.  I don't see much interest to get a card of 2 GB to this level.  It's going to be better than GDDR3 memory GDDR5.

    Hello Jp123,

The upgrade of parts on a machine of 8 year, doesn't help us much, and I would say don't not to waste money on it. Either use it as is for a backup or you can move forward with the last statement you said.

    Hi MButIer,

-How long have you had this problem?
-Was any change in software because the computer before the show?

    Follow the steps mentioned below:

    Step 1:

Temporarily disable the antivirus software (and any other security software) and the firewall on the computer as a test. Once disabled check if you can connect to the internet without any error.

If disabling the antivirus software solves the problem, you may need to configure the settings of the antivirus as a result program. Please contact the software vendor for assistance in this regard.

Note: Make sure that you enable the antivirus software, other security and firewall programs.

    Warning

Antivirus software can help protect your computer against viruses and other security threats. In most cases, you should not disable your antivirus software. If you need to disable temporarily to install other software, you must reactivate as soon as you are finished. If you are connected to the Internet or a network, while your antivirus software is disabled, your computer is vulnerable to attacks.

    Step 2:

Perform a System Restore to a point before the show and check if this solves the problem.

  • Dell Inspiron 530 s upgraded

I have an Inspiron from Dell 530 s with the Dell G33M02 motherboard. I transferred from the motherboard to a mATX case.  I tried to get a faster processor. It will support the Intel Core 2 Duo E8500? It says here http://en.community.dell.com/dell-groups/gaming/f/3344/p/19465072/20203019#20203019 but I want to just make sure. In addition, what is the max RAM it can support? I've seen people say is 4 GB and others said 8 GB. I was looking for ram

    PiUser5

Yes, the Core 2 Duo E8500 Wolfdale, 3.16 GHz, 6 MB, 1333 MHz FSB, 65W processor is supported.

Before installing the processor, you must check that you have the latest Version of the BIOS is installed, Intel has been added as support for the new processor.

4 GB of memory is the max for the motherboard G33M02.

  • U2713HM, limited to 1920 x 1080 16 x 9 HDMI resolution?

I don't know what I'm doing wrong - my computer supports 4 k over HDMI, but U2713HM offers only 1080 instead of 1440?

My 'old' U2408WFP travels full resolution (1200) and connection HDMI EVEN THE... What I am doing wrong, please?

I found http://en.community.dell.com/support-forums/peripherals/f/3529/t/19483304.aspx saying that HDMI 1.3 supports only 1080, but HDMI 1.3 limit is 1600 - not sure where the error is - this page of Wikipedia http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/HDMI or elsewhere...

So the question is - how I crushed the HDMI U2713HM in full resolution please? If the monitor would not support 1440 on HDMI - it would be on the DELL U2713HM product page, correct? I would like to know before buying the product, correct?

And YES, I check the manual too http://www.dell.com/support/troubleshooting/us/en/19/Product/dell-u2713hm. Nothing about it...

    Thanks for your explanation!

    Jan

    Jan,

The port HDMI U2713HM culminates at 1920 x 1080. That's all what we can support due to the manufacturer's specifications. Now, other users have obtained a higher resolution by changing the Hz setting, but we don't cannot validate or support this. For the supported by the monitor of the higher resolutions, the source video card port should be DVI - D, DisplayPort 2560 x 1440 or VGA 2048 x 1152.

If the monitor would not support 1440 on HDMI - it would be on the DELL U2713HM product page, correct?
Sales team dictates what is indicated on the sales page, not us technical support. Must they listed HDMI maximum resolution = 1920 x 1080, Yes. User Guide could declare the maximum rates, Yes. I contacted both of these teams and this related in the past.

  • How does the hdmi cable?

I have a pavilion elite e9220y pc, the processor is AMD II x 4 910 and my graphics card is ATI Radeon HD 4350, 8 (Ram), 1 TB, and I am playing battlefield 3, but the game still run very slowly, so I can not play it... My question is if I connect a hdmi cable it could do tht battlefield 3 not working well or that I need to change the graphics card?

The gtx 560 ti should work fine on your system with a 500-600 watt power supply upgrade. Most PCIe x 16 card will work provided they fit and the power supply provides enough power. No matter how you go, make sure to check that the card and PSU will agree and not hinder other conncetion or devices.

  • Qosmio X 70-A - 11 Q-monitor HDMI does not work

    Hello

I'm working on my laptop with 2 external displays. It is connected via the VGA and the other via HDMI. Everything worked fine until yesterday when my HDMI monitor could not be found.

    Things I've tried:
I tested the moitor by connecting it with another computer, and it worked (with HDMI), then the monitor can not be the question.
I also tried another HDMI cable... didn't work ether.
BIOS is updated to the latest version
graphic driver NVIDIA graphics card and the graphics card intel standard is updated to the latest version.

Also a strange thing: when im in the menu of the BIOS while having VGA connected the screen keeps turning black for 1-2 seconds and then turn it on again

Would be nice to get advice on what I can do :)
    Thank you

    Hello

You are able to use the HDMI output port without connecting to another additional monitor to the VGA port? Please check because in my experience, it should be possible to use the HDMI or VGA port.

However, I think that the problem might be related to one of the graphic card driver.
Why? I think that a video output port would be controlled by a single graphics chip.
In the case where you are using two monitors at the same time (VGA and HDMI) video card (nVidia or Intel) would control VGA port and the other HDMI port.

I think that you need to reinstall the Intel display driver.
First, you must uninstall the installed Intel display driver of the system (this in Device Manager). Then, you must restart the laptop. On the page of the Toshiba UE driver you will find the latest Intel driver v10.18.10.3308
This driver is released to win 8.1 and 8 Win and Win 7

Recommends that you install this version to fix the HDMI problem
