I agree with Mike (sometimes and I still need to have mine replaced under warranty); However, before concluding that you need a new keyboard which, if she is no longer under warrany is maybe a bit expensive (and more if you need help), I would check the Device Manager (Start / Control Panel / Device Manager) and see if they keyboard device driver works correctly.  If so, before ordering a new keyboard, I would first try to update the device driver for the keyboard (they should be available on the website of the manufacturer of keyboard).  I would also like to see if the manufacturer can help you with the following tests if you need help with them and also check to see if the laptop has a pre-installed aboard diagostics utility (or if there is one they have available to download) which can test the operation of the keyboard and maybe tell you for some where the shoe pinches.

Then I would try blowing compressed air in the main grooves (especially around the BACKSPACE key) to see if something got caught in there and who will identify and release the key.

Then, go to start / Control Panel / ease of access and to activate the on screen keyboard.  Check to see if it works.  If she has the same problem, it certainly isn't a problem with the hardware with the keyboard and the possibility of some type of operating system software problem increases.  If it works, then the possibility of a hardware or device driver problem increases and decreases the chances of an operating system problem.

If you have another ordinary USB keyboard you can set and use to the place they laptop keyboard, I will try this to see if the problem occurs with this keyboard that already worked very well - if so, the problem is probably not the keyboard, but something related and replace the laptop keyboard will probably solve the problem.  If this proves to be the case, please repost in the following forum: http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/hardware?tab=all in addition to contacting the manufacturer to see if they can find alternative solutions (since at this point, I would be considering some kind of software problem-probably with the operating system).

If you try everything before and everything points to a defective laptop keyboard, then replacement may be the only alternative.  Yet it is work first check these alternatives, as they can help identify the problem or solve problems stop you from going in the wrong direction when the results indicate that the problem is maybe if this is probably something else.

    Thanks for your post.  We have one that I buy on Board that this question would be a better fit, but I'll go ahead and answer them here.

    You should read about the international warranty here, you can also check with Technical Support in your country.  International warranty is set up for people traveling outside their home country and will be temporarily in another country.

    That said, international warranty cannot be transferred to another country where the product is sold, and where the parts are available.  For example, if they do have the parts to Canada for the computer you bought in India, the computer will be back in India for repairs, it would be borne by customers.

    Check the information in the link I provided, it should answer your questions.  You can also modify the information to be more selective by scrolling to the bottom of the page and change the country.

    You can use this player. I think the dimensions are a mistake. The dimension that you have to be careful about is (should be 2.5 ") width and height (9.5 mm)... all laptop SATA disks except the news versions 1 to meet these dimensions (they are thicker than 12 mm approximately). Portable hard drives are intended to be and are generic, interchangeable, standard of the industry. As long as it's a SATA drive with the dimensions above above, you should be fine.     In all honesty, I don't know if a 95 or 96 work - my best guess is that the bios would be an error "Unsupported device" and refuse to boot, but it is not a definitive answer.
