  I have a client that is to deliver the DVD which is compatible NTSC and PAL.

  My current process is to edit in Premiere Pro, create and ISO file using still and burn with Roxio titanium.

  A standard DVD should work for both?

  A product for NTSC DVD will play on most DVD players

  A product for custom PAL.

  IE DVD PAL readers are generally double standard.

  I m not 100% sure, but I think that it s a question of PAL/SECAM/NTSC settings.
  Each country or region uses different PAL/SECAM/NTSC setting.

  As far as I know, the PAL is available in Europe and NTSC is available in the United States.
  But European countries also support different parameters of PAL.

  You should check if you are using the right PAL settings that exist in Ireland.

• Qosmio G20: MCE RPG and can't find any digital TV channels

  MCE RPG services digital antenna and find any of them after I installed Media Player Classic on my Qosmio G20. before the installation of the said I could watch digital tv. the place where I live has begun broadcasting dvb - t for local four-channel a few months a go. y at - there anyone out there that can help me find the problem and its solution?

  Are you sure that your G20 was delivered with a DVB - T tuner and analogue TV tuner not only 100%?
  As far as I know the g-20 was delivered with a different hardware configuration

  But if you camera supports DVB - T tuner, so I think that digital signal is not strong enough to receive the digital channels.

• Qosmio G20 Tuner does not not in Jersey

  Dear support team

  I purchased a Qosmio G20 of the UK through PC World. I live in Jersey and planned to use the tuner of the TV here. As far as I know, in the United Kingdom, I thought that the tuner would work in the Channel Islands, however were not able to receive a signal. I really doubt that there is a specific tuner to the Channel Islands. Do you have more information about it?

  I think it should work properly. I guess that TV standard is the same as in the UK. I have the best experience with cable TELEVISION and its connection to composite in the cable. Scan of the channels Qosmioplayer. Please let us know if it works.

  My G20 becomes slower and slower when it starts. I still like the laptop and it s design still makes me believe s the laptop more beautiful that I've ever seen (in my opinion still improve the design then the new Qosmio s).

  So I m using 80 GB hdd2 in each total of 160 GB disk...
  I m using now 72 GB in a HARD drive and 10 GB on the other. So much free space in a single disc, but the laptop is too slow start about 3 min.

  You slow startup and startup has nothing to do with the HARD drive space.
  Your laptop could start slowly, due to a large amount of processes that run in the context of the operating system!

  What you could do, is first the msconfig and disable unnecessary applications in the Startup tab.

  Use some applications cleaning CCLeaner (tool free) i.e. to clean the operating system and the registry. Last but least could not defragment the HARD disk to improve performance.

• Change NTSC and PAL in the same timeline?

  I have a Panasonic PAL TM900 and want to use NTSC Panasonic TM700 a friend to cover parts of a local theatre company with 2 cameras.

  I would like to be editing on Final Cut Pro. Is it possible if I shoot AVCHD on both devices - because one is 60 p and the other is 50 p?

  If you want to multicam use I'd say converted one of the files to change the frame rate, so that they match.

  It would depend on the device you have. The 1080 50i units hav an option of PAL/NTSC selector in the Menu to change this setting accordingly. But it is not present in the models of 1080 60i. Check the box or the bottom of the camera for this information.

  My laptop is now doing "scratch" and swirling noise. Scratching noise sounds like something a little unbalanced. This happens not all the time, but when he does he will continue for hours.

  It's not easy to say what could cause these noise scratches but I remember my old laptop created HARD drive noise to scratch in moving the HARD drive.
  This is not happen always but sometimes in reading / writing data.

  But this does not mean that the same thing would happen with your HARD drive
  As suggested by Akuma, the noise may come from modules cooling fans too

  However its always recommended to backup data and to keep a copy of the data on another HARD drive or flash memory stick
  In case something goes wrong with the HARD drive, you could easily restore data from other media.

• Two questions on Qosmio G20 - 165

  2 issues of a whole new user in the United Kingdom

  (1) how can I configure the Qosmio Player for TV in the manual tuning mode for BBC1's channel 1, BBC's channel 2, ITV's channel 3 etc. [I can set up channels with the help of autotune, but of course, you get 1 BBC to channel 23, BBC2 on 30 channel etc, so you must type in 23, 30 etc.the intructions to put in place the Qosmio player seem to be non-existent]

  As a first step, install the Toshiba commom modules, from here:

  then install toshiba controls, from here:
  http://www.rabayjr.com/Vista/drivers/controlsxp.rar

  After that, you will probably work of toshiba buttons.

  For the Qosmio player, you must burn it the image that you download from the website of toshiba on a CD.
  After that, put this CD in your Qosmio, press F12, select Boot CD key and install it.
  But remember, THIS IS IMPORTANT: If you install the Qosmio Player, this will reformat your hard drive and lose all partitions of HD and data, as well.
  Normally you install Qosmio player before installing Windows XP, media Center, Vista. etc...

  I think you know the guys on Mobiola Web Camera.
  I installed and tried plugging the E90, but after some time I got an error in my mobile connection has expired.

  I think I need to select the com port appropriate for the connection.
  For Bluetooth com port is com11 and for USB its com 5,6,7,8 in my notebook, but still I am not able to connect.

• Qosmio G20 Media Center crashes when using video or TV

  Since April 2006 whenever I try to use the Media Center it crashes when I try to play a DVD or to use the TV. It seems to be a video display problem.

  Did you install any codec's or 3rd applications?
  It's not easy to say why it happens, but if you think that it s a display driver problem then you can try to update the graphics driver.
  If it doesn t help it would be very interesting to know if this happens on the laptop picked up fresh.
