• (Find and) removing the virtual copies

  Hello.

  I managed to create virtual copies of 1000 or more photos. This happened (I think) while trying to clean a file in the collection. What I want to do now, so to sort - and isolate? -virtual copies created accidentally. I tried to use Copies of filter/Virtual Library and sorting during editing, but it still seems that it will take time to find those that have been made virtual copies by intention and those who were not. As I also did a lot of editing work before this accident, I would rather not return a previous backup.

  So, to summarize: what is the best way to find only the created virtual copies from say 10:00 this morning?

  While you can order by order added, I don't see anything to display. I said descending because then the accidental should be the first to that see you.

  I think I may have confused things by saying smart collection / contains / whatever. The only goal was to find all virtual copies, so we could then see those accidental. We cannot do this by file Type, but we can do it by searching for a letter, for example 'o', which we know will be in the copy name field.

  Another approach would have been to go to these collections. Alt Ctrl Shift Delete (PC) or remove Opt Shift Cmd (Mac) is necessary to remove the items from Lightroom - what is necessary because a simple deletion would only remove the item from this collection.

  On the laptop preinstalled with Microsoft Windows Media Center Edition Toshiba TV feature does not work outside the country where the unit is purchased.

  As far as I know that the TV Tuner is specific to the country in which the notebook is purchased. This is evident in the case of the PAL (European standard) versus NTSC (North American standard), but also includes deviations to the PAL standard that can be found in all of these countries that use it for their television shows.

  The Microsoft Windows Media center Edition OS is only configured for use in the country in which the laptop was purchased. Similarly, foreign users who bring computers, portable foreigners in the other country will be unable to use the TV Tuner for the same reasons. Even exchange the TV Tuner for one that matches the country in which is used the laptop will not work.

  It would depend on the device you have. The 1080 50i units hav an option of PAL/NTSC selector in the Menu to change this setting accordingly. But it is not present in the models of 1080 60i. Check the box or the bottom of the camera for this information.

  I just copied and pasted the code in an HTML document, and ran the search and replace regular expressions. He removed all four bookmarks without problem.

  I see that you say you copied and pasted my regex in the search field. I just do the same thing and see that when you use copy / paste, the cursor in the search field ends up on a new line. Press BACKSPACE to get rid of the new line. It should then work.

  If you want to multicam use I'd say converted one of the files to change the frame rate, so that they match.

  I use a Satellite M40X-129, bought in 2005.
  After you have reinstalled Windows and all the necessary drivers (after more than 3 years, which was the longest time I used a windows ;-)) installation this afternoon, I meet the following situation when starting):

  When I press F1 to resume, windows starts very well as I'm used to it.
  I can also access the configuration and need to update the time setting.

  Two scenarios:
  (a) the startup, shutdown, reboot: error message happen
  (b) setting the time, out of the bios with save the configuration, boot, very well until the stop/restart is required

  I tried to download the update of the bios to v1.60, but the configuration tool told me that this version is already in use and it will not progress.

  What I wondered: why is it happening? I don't think that the battery power is low, which was suggested to others in other threads, because it happened just after I installed the chipset/utils and other drivers from the toshiba download page.

  What can I do?

  -Bios update? -> Where can I find a new version? A tool (which I downloaded from a site linked to Phoenix Technologies) told me, there is an update for my Bios, but he wants me to join a subscription $29.99 / year

  -Swap CMOS battery? -> how remove m40x-129, tutorials? Don't want no f * ck it upwards...

  I think that the CMOS battery may be empty and therefore both a given in the BIOS is always changing the default value.

  Usually, you should be able to recharge this battery CMOS very easily.
  The user manual describes how to load this. Take a look at your manual

  As I m not wrong not the laptop must be ON and running and must be connected to the mains for more than 20hours.
  Then, the notebooks BIOS battery needs to be recharged again.

• Want desolde/resolder, remove and replace the two damaged usb2 ports

  I have a Sat A30 perfect by all means other than 2 USB2 ports on the back that are damaged (black plastic seperaters between connectors jumped) not quite sure why this happened because I was simply unplug the connected usb plugs on both occasions.

  The connectors were not especially tight. fault is I have no insulation between copper connectors which are still found in the slots and causes a short circuit, when I plug in a usb device.

  I bought a card mother relpacement (damaged) and usb2 connections are OK! Have good technician experience in carring out Soldering/desoldering and has all the tools. Problem is that I have not the slightest idea what connections under the Board of Directors are required to unsolder my damaged usb2 card in order to remove/swop and perform the necessary replacement.

  I'm sure I'll be advised to contact an authorized reseller of Tosh. I tried this and they say that they will be already only the motherboard together and the cost is horrible. I would rather make the repair myself that's not rocket science.

  The techies out there who could counsel with picture of the relevent pins to desoldering in order to remove and repair the fault would be greatly appreciated.

  Please don't be crazy about me, but in my opinion, is not a very good idea to open the notebook alone if you don't have a lot of experience with it. Laptops are designed on the specific way and exchange of material is not so easy as the exchange of material to work stations.

  Believe me that a small error in the assembly/disassembly procedure can case damage to equipment or the façade of the same laptop parts. I know that there's not much service partner assistance because they want to do. It costs money, but you must understand that if they give that kind of advice or information they may close the shop very soon.

  You can try to do it alone, but at your own risk and be careful.

  Well, in my inexperience, I screwed up. Now, I'm screwed. I have a project that I shot on Super8 at 18 frames per second. I was given a PAL transfer, but ended up doing a lot of work in Premiere Pro... In NTSC.

  I tried to start a new project with the PAL settings and then import the other project for I can have all my audio in various tracks, making it easy to change. But who gave me a single audio track that I can't change.

  Have windows XP sp3 and latest firefox, did install no script but cannot install any other addon. Error - Cannot install, not able to edit the necessary files. This allows Java, allowing other addons does not help.
  Unable to create a new profile that the procedures given do not work.
  Allowing all global scripts does not help.

  Create a new profile as a test to see if your profile is the source of the problems.
