Question on the repair process.

Someone had experience with the process of repair of HP? They just swap my laptop on for some old renovated piece of junk with a new set of problems, or will I get my actuall back machine? I also believe that my HARD drive is dead, and of course I was unable to erase its contents before sending it. HP will ensure that all my data is destroyed before disposing or restore disk? All of my personal information is out there and how these corporations are so sloppy with personal data, there wonder if I should just keep the old drive and buy a new one, even if it is still under warranty.

Think you folks?

Hello FlyingHorse,

I would be happy to let you know about the repair process.

Its simple, just send the computer in the repair center. They will look in the computer for problems. Solve problems with the replacement of parts which went wrong, re - install the operating system and return the computer to you.

It is therefore not swaping question with another computer. It will be the same computer that you will receive. On data, HP is very special. There is no need to worry about what the hard disk will be wiped.

I hope that I have answered the question. If you need additional information, please get back to us

  • Question of the application process

    +(First OFF, we're using ApEx 4.0 through IE8) +.
I have a report that serves as a "shopping bag" of sorts, with a "Delete" button to cancel the Articles of him. But the button 'Delete' is not to go to the page, it leaves just a blank white page. (Fortunately, the process works in the removal of the element)

The link to the column in the report Page 11 goes back to Page 11. (I tried to change to a new Page 12, including a few branches immediately back to the 11 Page, but it does not solve the problem) The link name is APPLICATION_PROCESS = REMOVECART, clears the cache on Page 11 and sets the value of a hidden element (P11_ITEMCODE) to be referenced in the App.Process.
The REMOVECART process is a SQL/PL block running On-Demand"that says:

    DELETE FROM INFO_CART WHERE ITEMCODE =: P11_ITEMCODE;
    UPDATE the STATUS value INFO_INDEX = 'In', ORDEREDBYUSERID = '0' where ITEMCODE =: P11_ITEMCODE;

There is no Conditions, permissions or authentication on the process or the link in the column. Ideas, why the process is not back to the Page based on its execution?

It appears when you run the application process of the URL which deal with the application will run and that's it. You will need to provide a code in the process of redirection request to the url of the page you want to go.

Another option is to create a process to run the application process and make it conditional to a certain request value that you can set in your link. Look at the page 4 ("basket 2") for an example.

  • Questions about the approval process

I'm currently waiting on my plug-in to be approved and it has been about 2 days... to better manage my own and our customers expectations on updates of the extension that we have done, I have a few questions:

    • I have been informed that approval takes up to 2 weeks. Is it possible to speed up the process?
    • Is there a way to see the status of your approval beyond "submitted changes?
    • After approval, the addition of extension patches also require an approval process?
    • After approval, updates like text descriptions or image updates require an approval process?

  • Satellite A20-S103D: two questions about the recovery process

    Hello

I bought the machine above my nephew - is no longer necessary.
It runs Windows XP Home Edition and is not a Windows CD or disc of recovery of any kind.

I have a Windows decal on the underside with the product key, but when I use "Belarc Advisor" to examine the product keys for all my software loaded it gives a totally different operating system product key! This key contains the letters OEM in there.

As the machine is supplied with a Toshiba power management software I guess it's an OEM Toshiba of the OS version I have.

    My questions are:
1 / this does not mean that at some point in the past, this machine was another product of Windows XP on it? (two product keys)
2 / I can, (and), I get the Windows XP CD or a recovery for the machine, like I need to recover or to reload Windows.

Thanks in advance to all members of the forum that meet.

    > 1 / this does not mean that at some point in the past, this machine was another product of Windows XP on it? (two product keys)

The key you found at the bottom of the device belongs to the OEM of Windows version that is part of the recovery diskette.
The recovery disk is already enabled so that the key is not required in order to activate the Windows operating system.
As far as I know, that the key does not work with other versions of windows

    > 2 / I can, (and), I get the Windows XP CD or a recovery for the machine, like I need to recover or to reload Windows.
Since it is an old, I doubt you'd be able to order the recovery for this device disc
If you want to install the Win operating system, then you must use a Windows CD clean valid keys and all drivers may be downloaded from the page of European driver of Toshiba.
The drivers are placed in the archive because it oldie s in order to choose the archives in the type of product to download the form.

    Hello world

I was wondering if anyone else getting an error when they recover their Instant clones related to trust now AD clones machines.

    Full message:

The SAM database on the Windows Server doesn't have a computer account for this workstation trust relationship.

Objects are found in AD and seem to be good. And the initial deployment of the office pool works very well. It's just when I go to recover all the jobs to fail.

  • Questions about the call for a process of a web site

Question regarding the appeal process.  I'm new to this part of the technology and I don't know that many would know how it works.  We have a Workbench process that must be called from a remote web site.  The process could take a parameter... That is to say an ID.  The process will then query the database and return a Boolean value to the site and then this site might perform a specific operation.   My question is, are there examples out there that someone could provide which can show how this can be done?  What do I need in my site (I don't know how to configure the buttons create OnSubmit processes and very familiar with javascript, html)?  I think that, somehow, it can be done with SOAP or REST?  Thank you very much in advance for any help.

You just need a form in HTML with elements (for example textbox - string, file - document etc.) with the same name as the name of the process input parameter and the action attribute of the form must be URL REST of process-oriented.

For example: for a process(short-lived) having REST URL: Http://localhost: 8080/rest/services/WatchedFolder...  with a parameter in the XML and the document as an output variable, we will use the HTML code below:

    Call REST sample endpoint

    http://localhost: 8080/rest/services/WatchedFolder... method = "post" enctype = "multipart/form-data" >

Chose a file to send to the process.

    file:

When you click on submit, the output document would be opened in the browser automatically after submitting the form.

  • Repair process is very long

    Hey,.

The problem is that ive given my computer for repair nearly two months ago and I still haven't received it back, even though I was told it takes about 3 weeks to fix it. Whenever I give the floor to the service center they say they expect the details arrive. My warranty runs out next month, and I'm obviously interested to get my laptop repaired before that.

I was therefore wondering if the Toshiba company has no rule on how long the repair process may take?

    Thank you

    Hi mate

First of all I have to say that my laptop has been fixed by the ASP in my country too, but the repair process went very quickly.
I have called the ASP at Saturday, send Mobile Monday. Thursday, I received the message about the malfunction and the cell phone Monday was send back to me.
    The warranty covered everything.

But I think it depends on the availability of the part.
In some cases, the parties are not available for ASP and the needs of technicians to order these pieces at Toshiba stock head this may take some time

But don t worry mate. its doesn't matter that your warranty runs out next month because the laptop has already been send to ASP and it it was done while the guarantee was valid.

During the unlocking process: it says that I need to erase everything on my iPhone 5 s. So, what of my contacts? How can I get that back? because the backup to icloud it nor iTunes.

In addition, what happens if I do not erase the content? That will prevent my form of phone is unlocked?

Do not erase everything on your phone under the procedure of release.  If you have your phone set to backup Contacts on iCloud, they will be saved and then can be later reloaded on your phone after erasing it.  I just got two iPhone 5 and it worked well.  Also to do a full backup to your computer via iTunes and transfer everything what is not already saved if you are asked.  The only problem I encountered was that some applications does not and I had to manually reinstall the.

  • Rokie question: better understand the clone process related

    Hello

I've been assessing the view for awhile, I have a few questions about the big picture behind the view.

follow-up is my understing. Please correct me if I'm wrong.

We will use XP as an example.

    1. I create image main the XP machine using vcenter server.

    2. shut down the computer, create a snapshot.

3 using the vconnection server, create new linked clone pool with 50 related clones.

    4. the pool will use the snapshot as a base image.

    5. in the creation starts, I can see from the window of the vsphere client, it creates a folder called

    VMwareVewComposerReplicaFolder

    and created a replica.

    Replica-8skdjfh-2343-sdjf-ksjdf-skjdfhsdj02

    6. Once this replica has been correctly created, 50 linked clone created subsequently fairly quickly...

    7. after a few restarts, all 50 XP machine created with success, and vconnection screen shows 'available. '

8 Note that each of the 50 XP machines will have it's own snapshot created automatically during the process.

so my understanding is, the basic picture of these 50 machines will be this guy?

    Replica-8skdjfh-2343-sdjf-ksjdf-skjdfhsdj02

just for the bag of the argument, let's say when all 50 machines are powered, I deleted that line from the file, which

happen? What happens if I reboot the XP machine, is that he needs this replica file in order to properly

Start? my understanding for linked clone is all the 50 machines share the same kernel of something, which is why we use

that it saves a lot of space, etc.

in other words, for example, if I want to do Windows update for all machines of 50, I boot image master machine XP,.

finish the Windows Update, stop, create a snapshot2. later I snapshot pickup 2, redial the

any pool, all 50 machines would receive the same updates of Windows. my understanding is the windows

updated in fact only applied to the file of the replica, not all the 50 machines individually. Am I wrong?

Thanks for sharing your thoughts. I think it's very important for the best under the notice.

All 50 machines will use the file replica and if you were to remove that they would be more work.   If you want to use Windows Update the parent windows update, version ip online, would you stop and create a new snapshot.   Once it was over, you can recompose the pool which would create a new replica with the updated patches.  The workstations that have been laid would be associated with the new replica.

  • Questions about the process of cloning in Oracle Apps

    Hello..

I'm trying to clone Oracle 11i (single node) Linux applications, but with some doubts in the process... could someone please help me...

I ran preclone (adpreclone.pl) scripts on both layers of DB and APPL system source... then stop apps services and target the database copy in the system... but my question comes here... they say I should be copy only files of the SUMMITS as APPL_TOP, COMN_TOP, etc. and ORACLE_HOME, IAS_ORACLE_HOME... but these TOPS and HOUSES exist within a directory as...
    example:
    APPL_TOP - / dev/p01/oracle/devappl
    COMN_TOP - / devc/p01/oracle/devcomn
    ORACLE_HOME - /dev/p02/oracle/devdb/9.2.0
by note metalink (230672.1), they say it's to copy...
    [APPL_TOP]
    [OA_HTML]
    [OA_JAVA]
    [OA_JRE_TOP]
    [COMMON_TOP] / util
    [COMMON_TOP] / clone
[COMMON_TOP] / _pages (if this directory exists)
    [806 ORACLE_HOME]
    [iAS ORACLE_HOME]
My question is should I be creating directories like (/ dev/p01/oracle/devappl) (/ dev/p01/oracle/devcomn) and copy the TOPS and HOMES in appropriate subdirectories or just simply copy... then run the process... postclone your ideas and suggestions are welcome... Thank you...

your right... that's the real way, manually create the directories and copy them from the source to the target by the metalink (230672.1) note... but I'm worried that I might miss some files in the copy process... I mean are below here are the the only ones required in the process postclone... because if you see the real $ORACLE_HOME (/ dev/p02/oracle/pixdb/9.2.0) to the user oracle is missing... What about the database files? .. .is there all I could mention to facilitate the creation of directories...

You can just copy the files in the directories devdata, lolo, devappl, devdb, devcomn.

Also all by creating the directories in this way... If I'm going to use a new name for the instance, do I have to replace the "dev" to the new name as 'edev' or something and then start the postclone process...
    /dev/P02/Oracle/pixdb/9.2.0
    /dev/P01/Oracle/pixora/8.0.6
    / dev/p01/Oracle/pixora/IAS
    / dev/p01/Oracle/pixappl
    / dev/p01/Oracle/pixcomn

You can use any name for the main mount (it is-to-say/u01 /... or/edev /..), just replace dev with edev for five above mentioned directories.

    Thank you

  • question on the smart card's mutual authentication process

I have a question about the process to authenticate each other between the smart card and the host application.

    Basic knowledge
As far as I understand, use of the host application the KMC to derive the static key, the value of the card and this set of keys, the host application creates the set of session keys. He uses this session defined key to check the cryptogram of the map and generate cryptogram of the host.

Similar process is conducted by the card with the fact that static keys are stored in the vault of the smart card in the customization of the security field transmitter phase. It sends to the host application the cryptogram of the card.

    Framework
I'm trying to review this process manually. I play the role of the host application and I have in hand the necessary cryptographic functions (Triple a) and Mac.

    Question
I'm trying to calculate the MAC (cipher card) as described in section 5.4.1 of the CPS v1.1 (EMV card) but I can't receive the cryptogram of the card sent to me using the reference.
Is there more than 1 function of MAC (in theory) and this MAC function varies from one card to another manufacturer?

    Thanks in advance
    Best regards
    JDL

There may be something in the API c# BouncyCastle (I don't do much dotnet so I have not tried) http://www.bouncycastle.org/csharp/

The MAC is relatively simple. There is a line where you encrypt a block of data at a time (as opposed to entire entry) and feed the result of an iteration in the next as the ICV (initial vector chaining). The original ICV value is 0x00 all.

    See you soon,.

  • Question about the listener and the process server in dedicated server mode

    Hello

The Oracle documentation says that, when a client connection request is received on the server, the receiver creates a process server who will work with the database instance to perform the tasks requested by the user/client process. So far, everything was good.

Now, when the user is on the Oracle himself server, the listener didn't need to run to establish a connection to the database. Therefore, it is possible to stop the Listener and not always connect using sqlplus and a valid username and password.

In the case above, the question is: if the listener does not work, what/who created the process server that communicates with the instance of the database on behalf of the user? In other words, in the normal case, the listener could get the request and create the server process. When the listener does not work what part of the Oracle Gets the requests and creates the server process?

Clarification on how this case is handled are very much appreciated, thank you,

    John.

    John,

I guess that you have asked the same thing in a different form in another thread. In the case, when the process of the user and the server is to be on the same side, the communication done by using the Protocol bequeth and the user, since it is not not going to use a (@) sign, he would use a default service for connected sys$ users .
