Newbie on the Oracle process question

Hello

I read that the Oracle background processes are dbw0, lgw0, trunc, smon, pmon, cjq0 and arc0. However, I noticed that these processes are not in the list of processes. I'm in Oracle Database 11g in Oracle Enterprise Linux. I see that there is an Oracle process well. Background processes are included within the Oracle process for a given case?

Thank you in advance.

  • Newbie on the aperture lens question sets

I did have the chance to try a goal at opening fixed yet. I just wanted to know if you can still change the opening of like for example f/2.8 to f/8 or more. ? Or is the only opening you can f/2.8. How does this work?

This is not a "fixed" aperture because it cannot be changed.  This means that this isn't a "variable" opening that changes as the focal length changes.  This lens keeps f2.8 it is thanks to its focal range.  It can and it has all the apertures from f2.8 to f22.

This goal is, BTW, the best 24-70mm made today.  There's nothing better.

  • the difference between the intermediate process and materials first in BCP formulation?

I do not understand the difference between the intermediate process and materials first in BCP formulation. could you give me an example to show the difference?

The intermediate process - questions all the specifications that are used in the

    current specification.

Raw - questioned the level of material first in the hierarchy.

    Hello Terry,

It is used in the screen output Formulation based PCA. You can configure different PCA rule which is available in formulating exit point BOM, then when you start a screen of PCA in the base of the exit, you will see this rule.

And the difference between the intermediate process and raw in PCA, let me explain with an example, I have a configuration hierarchy as below:

    OutputA

    A formulation

    Material X

    Output B

    Formula B

    Material M

    Material N

If I select the output B in formulating A framework, and when I run a screen of PCA in the base of the output, I have three options:

    High level - it allows to extract A output attributes as PCA review the settings;

    Intermediate processes - it to retrieve attributes material X and B output like BCP review the settings;

Raw - it will extract attributes of material X, output B, M and N of material material as PCA review the settings.

    I hope this helps.

    Thank you

  • Newbie question for the Oracle application server

    Hi Master,
a DBA I am interesting to broaden my skill with learning on the application server.
I knew that in the past before Weblogic bought by Oracle, Oracle, always using Oracle application server.
Now with the Weblogic gaining more popularity on the market, which is the product the value of learning and get certified.

Is it still useful to take Application Server 10 g or go with Weblogic. in certification path, Weblogic 10 g.
WebLogic now replaces the Oracle application server, average abandoned Oracle Application Server?

Please enlighten me and thank you for your help

    Lie

Question if I go for Oracle WebLogic Server 10 g Administrator Certified Expert System it will be good to work with 11g thus?

Make it part of the same system (now). Like WebLogic is the portal and the Jukebox, forms etc. are the records.

What book other than the documentation that you have found the right one for learning.

Yet to find one, Oracle documentation was OK.

Is it better to learn the Linux or Windows version?

Both are very well, choose the operating system you know better.

I built my Middleware on Linux 64-bit test. Note that the 32-bit version allows to run Forms and Reports Developer.

    Beware of pre-installation tasks

    Install the Oracle database
    Linux RCU (repository creation utility)

    Database

Use an existing database. (And it worked)

My test was divided into four main parts: (in this order)

Installation of the regional coordination unit
    WebLogic Server Install
    Install JRocket
    Forms and reports Install

According to me, it took me two or three times to do things. (or at least work)

I found myself with these URLs in the end:

    Administration Server Console http://Host/console 7001
    Enterprise Manager Console http://Host/em 7002
    Enterprise Manager Agent http://Host/emd/main
    Oracle Forms http://Host/formes/frmservlet 9001
    Oracle reports http://Host/rapports/rwservlet 9002

So far, I have only an addition to my Web Page:

    http://www.Visi.com/~mseberg/compile_forms_on_wl.html

    As always this work orders:

    ./opmnctl status

I was able to add PHP after you apply the hotfix 9292625.

This, I understand that the DSO has its own process and I agree with that.

Here, what do these processes. I want to say that we have many processes in common as dbw0 and lgwr etc which is who is doing the job of writing. If so do we need the other process that is sitting idle. What is the fundamental difference between these processes?

    Hello
The ASM instance is made of the same technology as instances of database, as a result, his legacy his background process and its engine.

DBW, lgwr, and all the other processes have the same idea, but they do different things in different instance types. For example, DBWR in the database instance writes the data blocks changed instance database SGA in its data files, on the other hand, the same dbwr process to an instance ASM writes metadata changed instance ASM LMS to the header of the disks.

Sure if you use ASM in your environment and you have a the same server instance, you must have dbwr, lgwr, etc. of your instance of the database and instance your ASM. Each process are diferents LVO to manage and do different tasks.

On the communication between the database instance and the Oracle instance, this is done by two new background process introduced in version 10g, they are the FILIPE and the RBAL. RBAL performs world open disks in disk groups and FILIPE connects as a foreground process in the ASM instance. An Oracle instance is not before the write operation in the ASM instance, ASM instance don't gives instance information database where the data is located, through sound medatada.

Subject of your question to instance dbwr writing directly in the ASM disks. Yes, they do!

ASM instance handles only the metadata needed to make files ASM instances of database accessible to the ordinary, both (ASM instances and instances of database) have access to a common set of disks that belong to groups of disks.

PS: Some of this information comes from 10g DOC, doc 11G and Oracle Press Book named (Oracle Automatic Storage Management)

Do not erase everything on your phone under the procedure of release.  If you have your phone set to backup Contacts on iCloud, they will be saved and then can be later reloaded on your phone after erasing it.  I just got two iPhone 5 and it worked well.  Also to do a full backup to your computer via iTunes and transfer everything what is not already saved if you are asked.  The only problem I encountered was that some applications does not and I had to manually reinstall the.

  • Question on the repair process.

Someone had experience with the process of repair of HP? They just swap my laptop on for some old renovated piece of junk with a new set of problems, or will I get my actuall back machine? Hello FlyingHorse,

I would be happy to let you know about the repair process.

Its simple, just send the computer in the repair center. They will look in the computer for problems. Solve problems with the replacement of parts which went wrong, re - install the operating system and return the computer to you.

It is therefore not swaping question with another computer. It will be the same computer that you will receive. On data, HP is very special. There is no need to worry about what the hard disk will be wiped.

We shouldn't just work the PROCESS parameter for the maximum number of BONES.

More processes that you have, more will consume PGA the oracle Instance, i.e. more memory will be used on your server.

You should check v$ resource_limit see if it really reached setting TREATY limits, if yes increase the parameter appropriately so that the high tide of use remains about 80% of the value of the parameter. Check if the number of sessions dedicated process is really necessary, otherwise you can consider the use of database resident connection pooling or a shared server or tuning configuration opening less sessions on the database.

Depending on how much you increase, take a look at the view of PGA advice after a workload of the cycle of V$ PGA_TARGET_ADVICE and V$ MEMORY_TARGET_ADVICE.
