Questions reconsignation in Oracle Apps after session timeout

Hello

R12-pending, after the session has expired, and while he raises up to reconsignation and after entering the username and pwd and after pressing the OK button, it asks again ask username and pwd and the cycle repeats.

In addition, the login page is not broken with the user name. I suspect that the above behavior is for this reason.

No idea on how to solve this problem.

Thank you

• Click the CommandButton with useWindow = true after session timeout does nothing

Dear all,

We use JDeveloper/JHeadstart 10.1.3 on a Windows platform. We use JAAS based of security and configuration web.xml to restrict access to all resources .jspx.

A user connects and accesses a .jspx page and then waits for a session time-out. If subsequently, the user clicks a CommandButton, the user is redirected to our login page. So far so good.
If the user clicks a CommandButton with the tag useWindow true attribute set, nothing happens for example the user remains on the original page of .jspx, no login page is displayed, and no message is displayed.

Is it possible to fix this behavior?

• Manage the Session Timeout

I use JDeveloper 11.1.1.6.

I'm trying to properly handle session timeouts in the ADF. My request was the popup of session ADF 'canned' timeout when I am connected to my request and the session has expired. This same popup is rendered even if I'm sitting at my login page, but are not registered.

I followed the advice of Frank Nimphius as explained in the next forum so that my request of re - direct to the login page after session timeout. That works very well with his detailed document.

ADF Faces: practical copy session timeout

The concern I have now is if I'm sitting at my login page and my session expires, demand remains at the login page. I now have my credentials of type, and click Connect. Because the application think that my session has expired, I picked at the login page. Ideally I think not that the login page would hold a session. You have any indication on how I can get around this.

Hello

What about using connection programmatically, in which case the login form is part of a public page (see http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/issue-archive/2012/12-jan/o12adf-1364748.html for an example, you can download)

• Oracle Apps BI questions, well help you

Hi all

I wanted to order preconfigured reports that come with Oracle BI applications, for that I had to download and installed
OBIEE 10.1.3.4.1
7.9.5 oRacle BI applications
Informatica PowerCenter 8.6.0
Oracle EBS R12,

Question 1) I see that there is Oracle DAC 10.1.3.4 on the same download page, should I also download, as when I installed oracle BI 7.9.5 applications he installed CAD OracleBI folder and I can access customer DAC, then what is the need of DAC separate?

Question No. 2) when I installed the Oracle BI Applications 7.9.6(after uninstallting apps 7.9.5), there was no record CAD oracleBI location, in the guide it says DAC file now has a previous installation, I guesss which means that I must have oracle Apps 7.9.5 installed before installing apps 7.9.6?

Question 3) is informatica powercenter 8.6.0 compatible with the settings above, or do I have to install informatica oracle Web site, I tried but need me to download OBIEE link
http://www.Oracle.com/technetwork/middleware/BI-Enterprise-Edition/downloads/bus-intelligence-11g-165436.html
the included software are
Included:

Interactive Dashboard
Reporting and Publishing Delivers
Office Plug-In
BI Publisher
Scorecard and Strategy Management
Real-Time Decisions
WebLogic Server Standard Edition (restricted use)
in the list above, there is no Informatica!

Thanks for your help,
Kind regards

Hello

(1) you must also download DAC for configuration that the BI apps.you can go through this link for more information
http://forums.Oracle.com/forums/thread.jspa?MessageID=5553233

(2) you must install either 7.9.5 apps or 7.9.6 version... Because the two are different, it's BI apps 7.9.5 use informatica... where as BI apps 7.9.6 will use ODI (oracle Data Integrator) and ODI does not use DAC for its installation.
So go either one of these... I suggest you go to 7.9.5

(3) Informatica 8.6.0 is compatible with 7.9.5 Apps.Google to find informatica software.

Hope that your questions are answered.

• Skillbuiders (Session Timeout) plug in question

Hello

I have a question wth Skillbuilders "Session Timeout" plugin:

Plugin keeps popping up on the page of connection even if the user disconnected from the application.

I used conditions in dynamic Action to prevent the plug-in to be included on the login page (101), that it is led by their instructions.

However, it does not work for some reason any.

Plugin still works on the login page and warning continues to appear on the page of connection even when the disconnected user.

I have included the condition in the dynamic action: ' not equal to ' and the value: 101 (which is a login page).

I'm on Apex 4.2

Help, please.

Thank you.

Make sure you use the condition for the dynamic action, not on the event condition rendering 'when' (which dictates the action false true vs)

• Oracle session timeout

Hi all

We can manually configure Sql * more variable session timeout?
that connection has timed out after the specified time interval.

Not in SQL * Plus, but you can create a profile with limited and assign it to your username.
So if something exceeds a resource limit, he was arrested (and killed the session).

• in the APEX by clicking on the link hyper does not trigger session timeout page

Hi all
I have a question about the application of APEX session time-out. I created a simple application of the APEX. In the region report SQL section, I have code like this:

SELECT DOC_Name, DOC_URL,
"" < a href = "" | DOC_URL | "target ="_blank"/" > download < /a > ' pdf_link
FROM test_table
where emp_number = 00010001

When the user click on the hyper link, it will show the landing page for the user (for example if DOC_URL = 'http://forums.oracle.com', it displays the oracle forum page in a new browser).

But the problem is that after the user session timeout (I set to 240 seconds through shared components > change the security attributes, I put max the session for example 240 seconds timeout) when I click on this hyperlink, it does not raise my session timeout page and it still shows the page (oracle forum page).

Why in the APEX by clicking on the link hyper does not trigger page session timeout after the user session timeout?

How implememt or fix to trigger the session timeout page after clicking on hyperlinks?

(BTW, our version of the APEX is 3.2)

Thank you!

Hello

rather than use your my_stored_procedure you could call a new APEX page where you have a page called P999_PDF_ID. On this new page you would have
treat a front header PL/SQL with the same code you have in your "my_stored_procedure". The only change would be to add a

apex_application.g_unrecoverable_error := TRUE;

at the end of your code as well as APEX does not generate a standard page of APEX.

That's all. If a user clicks on a link, APEX will check the session timeout and if everything is ok, download your PDF file.

• AnyConnect Session Timeout issue

We have some remote users that are not happy with the SSL Connect connection down after close their laptops or lose their wireless for once. I read this question and answer of a Cisco page and I was wondering where the session time-out setting is changed. It's on the network client, software map AnyConnect or ASA firewall?

Thank you, Pat.

Q. What is the AnyConnect reconnect behavior?

A. AnyConnect will attempt to reconnect if the connection is interrupted. This behavior is not configurable and auto. As long as the session on the SAA is still valid, the session will resume if AnyConnect can restore the physical connection.

Version 2.2 includes a roaming feature that allows AnyConnect reconnect after a sleep of PC. The client will continue to try indefinitely until the head told him he can't reconnect and the client will not immediately RIP into the tunnel when the system goes Standby/Hibernate implementation. For customers who don't want this feature, set the session timeout value low to prevent sleep or resume reconnects.

And also, for the new AnyConnect profile changes take effect, you will need to reconnect your AnyConnect session if the new policy is pushed to the client.

• ALTER Session timeout in Webcenter content system

Hello

The default Session in the Webcenter content system takes an hour. Must I increase to 10 hours. I tried to change it to 10 hours, but the session timeout system is always only one hour.

Do we need to apply a patch or custom component is required, to increase the Session timeout?

Here are the steps I took to change the value of timeout of session in 10 hours.

Test 1:
Login in Console Weblogic-> deployments-> Expand "Oracle Universal Content Management - Content Server"-> and click on ' / '-> click Settings - > then changed value of timeout of Session in 10 hours.

Test 2:

Connect you in Weblogic Console-> deployments-> click "Oracle Universal Content Management - Content Server"-> click Settings - > then changed value of timeout of Session in 10 hours.

Both did not work

Can you please how to proceed now.

Thanks in advance

• User Session timeout

Hello

I'm changing the timeout for the session of my application. I use Oracle WebLogic Server 11 g 1 material (10.3.5).

I tried to put these values in the weblogic.xml

<wls:session-descriptor>
<wls:timeout-secs>300</wls:timeout-secs>
<wls:invalidation-interval-secs>60</wls:invalidation-interval-secs>
</wls:session-descriptor>

I also tried to set this value in the web.xml file

<session-config>
<session-timeout>5</session-timeout>
</session-config>

But in both cases, the user not disconnects after the allotted time and server connect to this warning:

"atg/dynamo/servlet/sessiontracking/GenericSessionManager/HVNGSfhT1HXv1Pp9NJLG306k2TXV! 03876301atg/reporting/datacollection/userprofiling/SiteVisitRequest

SiteVisitRequest received PageVisitMessage where sessionId is not equal to StartSession sessionId. »

Can someone help me?

Ignore the ATG documentation, what ever you have done is the right thing to do that there is a bug in the ATG 10, to know more info about failure to contact Oracle support

You will need to set the /atg/dynamo/servlet/sessiontracking/GenericSessionManager.singleSessionIdPerUser to true.

• Error oracle.apps.ad.autoconfig.InstantiateFile while applying 12.2.3 AD and T2K release update Pack

I am applying the 12.2.3 AD and RUPs T2K atop a VISION of 12.2.2 instance according to 1586217.1. Since I'm already 12.2.2 I am following 'Path-B '. Application of 17023760 and 17021789 passed, but after the sourcing of the patch editing environment (although still in the phase to apply), instantiate the config of the HTTP files server fails:

[applvis@host ~] $ $ADJVAPRG oracle.apps.ad.autoconfig.InstantiateFile EI $CONTEXT_FILE $FND_TOP/admin/driver/ohstmpl.drv--stat $FND_TOP/admin/template/ssl_conf_FMW.tmp d

D option can appear only once

etc etc etc.

Checked that ADJVAPRG, JAVA_BASE, JAVA_TOP and OA_JAVA point to the fs patch. Any ideas?

Thank you

APPLY ACTIVE 8 JANUARY 14 09:25:39 - 06:00 8 JANUARY 14 10:08:29 - 06:00 0:42:50

Do you have anything running (or current)? If Yes and you want to start a new session ADOPTION so please publish "adoption phase = abandonment."

12.2.3 should not apply using /hotpatch mode and you must follow the steps described in (Oracle E-Business Suite Release Readme (Doc ID 1586214.1) 12.2.3).

• Error handling/Session Timeout with APEX & Ajax / Javascript

In our project, we have the problem, what a session timeout can occur when the user stays on the same page and a jQuery/JavaScript/ajax process is used.

If a request for action called in a popup ajax without an active session process the HTML for the login page is the user.

How a management capable errors that no html will be displayed in the pop-up window?

Further there are external JavaScript files which need to read the content of elements of the application.
Is there an elegant/small/reusable way to get the value of the elements of the application?
The & APP_ID. The syntax does not work in external JS files.

Hi Oliver

Personally, I think that if you get a timeout that the popup is closed and your parent page is redirected to the login page. By using a cheque as a reminder of the success/error during an AJAX call you inspect the xhr.responseText to work if you have received a timeout would be recommendation and if found close the context menu, and then assign him the login page window.location.

However for AJAX calls not you will face a problem. In this case, you need a script in your login page that checks the window.opener and if so close the popup and sets the window.location opener to your login page. for example, I would like to add something like this to your header login page or login page model header.

Note: only tested on FF. In addition, the javascript above is just a very basic example and will close all popup which displays the login page and reload the parent with the login page. It can lead to an undesirable feature for web pages open your app in a popup, since it will be automatically shut down and recharge the calling page that could frustrate people. In this case, you will need to add more conditional logic in the script to check the current window.opener.location to check if the URL is for your application and then perform the close and reload action.

Of course, there are other ways to manage what is happening it is just an option I would like to Explorer.

If you need to read the values of the elements of application not page elements in javascript, you need to add a script to your page footer that defines these example

To get the value of an element of the application:

apex.appItem('MY_APP_ITEM1');

In the script above the request item values are secure prevent changes since they are accessible through the service such that they are defined as local variables to the breast. The only issue you will face access the value of an element of application which is been updated in session state by a process of AJAX. With the help of local values printed on the page rendered as it can get out of sync. If your item applciation values include line breaks or double quotes then you must escape them, if you need this support use a region of page PLSQL and escape the output after JSON script item values.

In the example I use apex Namespace, some people may argue it's a bad habit, but for me, I like to keep everything apex linked together. He has pro of / jerks to the argument, if the decision is yours.

Note: the reason to add the script to your footer must ensure that the values of point of application have been in session state, before they are issued.

The previous post of VC is the right way to access the elements of the entry page and DOM values.

See you soon
Matt
