Quick adjustment to win 8 Pro

Hello, Quickset to win 8 Pro does not support my hotkey Waves Maxxaudio nor the Realtek HD audio application. I've recently upgraded to Win 8 Win 7 on my Inspiron 5520. With 8 win as previous versions of quick adjustment are not taken in charge, I have no way to operate the maxxaudio 3.0. I tried to download version 4.0 of Maxxaudio but it is not a link to my maxxaudio hotkey. DELL please help with the release of a new touch of quick adjustment to win the 8 that supports the Realtek HD audio and perhaps maxxaudio 4.0. Otherwise my inspiron wud be a piece of junk while playing normal audio levels. Thnx

I have an acer aspire 8735 laptop g-6502 which has recently undergone a WD 500 GB drive HARD failure. I replaced that with a 7200 RPM Hitachi 1 TB drive and given that I don't have a Win 7 original used a disk Win 7 Pro with an extra friend.

Windows 7 Pro and HARD disk installation went smooth. But now when I plug an HDMI cable to watch through my Marantz receiver, comes from the video, but I have to do manually the Marantz the default audio device for sound. When I unplug the HDMI, I must return to the parameters of sound and unenable Marantz and re - activate the Realtek audio.

Before the drive died HARD, happen all perfectly when you plug the HDMI cable in and the fact to disconnect without any fiddling around with settings.

I also have a few other questions:
    1. the touch volume control next to the numeric keypad does not control the volume more
    2. the keyboard key used to have a setting to display it. You can use two fingers on a tablet to drag the image to the screen bigger and smaller.

I looked the site of Acer and also used my drive Application and drivers to reinstall everything that looked related to these issues. When first, I installed Win 7 Pro I let Windows find the appropriate drivers. It worked for some things but not others.

  • Install an SSD in an Inspiron 3650 I7 6700 16 GB Ram 2 TB hard drive Amd R9 380 graphic and running Win 7 Pro 64-bit

    Hello:

I have the above referenced PC and want to add an SSD (boot with OS drive).  I would like to make this my c: drive ssd.  I want to keep the Windows 7 operating system.  I made the disarmament recovery disks I opened the PC.  I don't want to win 10.

Could someone with their infinite knowledge teach me throughout the procedure with pictures if possible?  What parts do need me if any?

    Thanks in advance

    Tom

I thought I was doing a 512 GB SSD.  The system came with Win 10 Pro 64 bit installation floppies, but I'm used to and prefer to use Win 7.  The idea of cloning seems interesting.  In fact, it looks to the ticket.  What cloning software is recommended.  The priority of the boot in the BIOS change after cloning?  I am concerned with what type of SSD should I purchase (interface, transfer rate, etc.), what cables, if any, and which adapters will be necessary?

At work, I have all my computers run with SSD (OS/startup) and they run like rockets.  This new computer runs great, but with a SSD for the start, program files, "scratch disks", I'll be in the drive hyper.  I'd be in Mary for a bargain price.

Yet once again, thank you very much for you answer quickly.  I have several Dell optiplex computers in office and did not have a problem.

Thank you once again to Osprey

  • Install Win 7 Pro fresh HD

I was doing a new installation on my hard drive. The question I have is why the Setup program seems quick format of the drive?

I partitioned the 500 GB drive into 3 partitions, each identical in size with the partition of 100 MB system created automatically. And when I click on format on the partition that I install on, it was as if a moment format that seemed too quick of a format. I've been working on computers for over 30 years and whenever I make this facility in the past, I'd like to see a formatting of normal speed. Windows is just quick formatted now? and if yes - it normal now? It seems just too strange for me.

I just want to know is the Win 7 Pro install now only quick formatting?

Quick format is normal (and the only option during the installation process). If you want to perform a full format, you will need to do before installing Windows 7 (or any later version of Windows).

  • Update to Win 8 Pro on Dell - used the extra features Add - key function but now is rejected

    Hello

I bought a Dell XPS with Win 8 pre installed computer and key in the BIOS.

I needed features of Windows 8 Pro, so I bought a retail dvd.

When I pop the disk in the Dell to do a fresh install... it fails. I think it's because the activation key which is located in the BIOS is set to the version 8 to win and will not let me install the Windows 8 Pro.

So what I was thinking was I could go to add Windows 8 features. It asks for a product key. I get the product key provided with the pro Win 8 of retail disc.  It worked and it comes and goes.  For some reason, the computer crashed. Ok. Rebooted the machine. When I go back to the features add Windows 8 and add the product key, it is now rejected.

I have a few questions that I hope that you can answer:

    1. is my activation key pro 8 victory at retail now invalid? Shouldn't be able to reuse the key for new installations? He is always on the same machine.

    2. someone with experience with the installation of win 8 pro on a Dell computer with the ordinary 8 Win on the Bios?

I installed clean installs of Windows many times, but never on a Dell computer. so I am frustrated he gave me these questions.

    Thank you!

8 win was preinstalled with the Dell XPS.

I have a full retail version of DVD to win 8 pro.

It was very weird. If I stop the machine because I dropped. Came back to her and did a few more things. Then I got frustrated by the 'led' search somehow got installed and removed.

This required a reset. While she has been reset, it said that it was the application of updates.  Ok. It was weird.

After the reboot, I checked the version of windows, and it is indeed the Windows 8 Pro version.

So what's happened? I do not know. I can't explain it.

This is not a update product key. It is a full commercial product key.

I don't know why it took days and several reboots before something kicks and managed to install from Microsoft.

    I wish I can explain it. I can't.

But thanks for the quick response and offer help.

After installing a downloaded Win 10 Pro on a clean drive on this laptop, Synaptics Touchpad is not recognized as anything other than a generic PS/2 mouse. I installed the driver several times without success. So there is no settings to adjust for the touchpad.

Device Manager seems to know that there is a kind of device Synaptics but does not load the driver for it, only the former pilot generic PS/2. I checked that the cable is inserted correctly etc.

Laptop is still under warranty but tech guy would not help.

Solved by manually installing the Synaptics driver (not launched the Dell driver installation). No solutions offered by technical support have been useful.

Error message @ boot Win 7 Pro "there was a problem starting C:\programdata\ofpviaowu.dat - the specified module could not be found."

This error message appears whenever I have start my computer and windows starts (Firefox doesn't start up). 15.01 Firefox work properly otherwise.

This started after I installed the 15.0.1 patch.

I uninstalled and reinstalled Firefox but the problem remains. Search Google for "ofpviaowu.dat" came with "2012-08-29 Firefox version 15 startup Crash Report" as the only listing.

    Is this a Firefox problem?

My system has this file: C:\ProgramData\Mozilla\logs\. I don't think that Firefox or update service should write directly to the root of C:\ProgramData\. It could be a configuration error, or it could be completely different.

You may be able to remove your boot sequence problem .dat file using Microsoft Autoruns utility: Autoruns for Windows. If you find an entry, can describe you it?

Stick with the version you have now. The versions of Firefox 4 + need a processor with SSE2 instruction set, as in the Intel P4 processors.

    Recommended hardware

       * Pentium 4 or newer processor that supports SSE2
       * 512MB of RAM

So, what do I have to Flash the BIOS with the latest version, or is it possible that I can work around that? I've done a few things with PC (built some etc etc) BUT I have never tried flashing the BIOS before and I heard that it can go very wrong! Any suggestion would be appreciated!

    Hi Marc,

If you update BIOS there are always good. The last, you can find on http://eu.computers.toshiba-europe.com under Support & Downloads Download BIOS.

This is the zip file, and there is also a text document that contains the BIOS update procedure. Follow this description, and you can do it with success.

  • Satellite A30, Win XP Pro SP3 - modem does not work

Another problem with this laptop Satellite A30
The built-in modem does not work.

    * Explanation: *.
The driver is correct and downloaded from the Toshiba support site.
The modem is identified as "Toshiba software modem amr" and is installed on com3 port.

When I click on "diagnosis" and "ask modem" (right labels can be different, since my is an Italian win xp, I just translated the Italian labels), a window pops up saying: it is impossible to open the door (port), the modem is connected to.

I tried to change the com port of the modem to different numbers, but the problem is the same.
I don't know if the modem is a real map connected somehow to the main Board or is built right on the main map. It would be the first case, I may change see ad. BTW, the mini slot pci is already occupied by the gigabyte of Wi - Fi, so the modem must be elsewhere.

This is strange, since I've done at least 2 other win xp pro on this machine facilities, always download and install the appropriate drivers, and the modem has never worked.
    Thank you
    S.

    This is the situation:
I have a HP ProDesk 600 G1 TWR with upgrade to Win 10 Pro. Some limitations of the software, we need to upgrade to Windows 7 Pro. There is the HP Recovery partition but F11 does not work, I think because for some reason, the HARD drive turned to the dynamics. Now, like a miracle, I found the DVD of the PC kit, well well, I'm not sure complete if belong to this concretely workstation, but HP for the same model.

The question: what about the license? In my view, it is an OEM license and I don't have the key. Can I use the DVD Win 7 Pro for the recovery of the PC? What the activation process in this case?

Of course, if it is possible just to use the recovery partition, will be great.

Factory hdd with SSD OCZ VERTEX 4 is replaced by the bios.

    What could be the problem?

    > Drive HARD factory is replaced with SSD OCZ VERTEX 4 recognized by the Bios.

You have the same start-up problems 8 win using the original HDD equipped Tecra R950?

From my point of view, it would be possible that this laptop does not start successfully because of the new SSD.

I recommend you check the previous HARD disk.
If the laptop could start correctly, the problem is related to the new SSD drive.

In some cases, it would be possible that the SSD firmware must be updated.
