I have a Dell computer that came with Windows XP Home edition.  When I start my computer the monitoring of ERROR appears: RUNDLL error loading specified not found \3\DLBUtime.dll module

I just click 'ok' and he goes, but, as for what it stop popping up everytime I start my computer.

Can someone help me with this?

    Aprilm,

You are LuLu5119, who posted a question last August?

If this isn't the case, you should have started your own thread.  If so (and even if not), you should have responded to questions about Dell printers.

Assuming that you complain of a "Error loading \3\DLBUtime.dll" message that appears when you start your computer, you should know that the DLBUtime.dll file probably has something to do with the software from Dell which has been partially deleted, but could also be indicative of malware as well as partially withdrawn.

In both cases, the best way for start you to prevent the message at windows is to download Autoruns http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/sysinternals/bb963902.aspx

Install the Autoruns and let it complete the scan of your computer.  Then click on the "Connection" tab and uncheck the following entry:

Look for an entry that has 'DLBUCATS' in the first column.  If you do not see that, look for "rundll32 \3\dlbutime.dll" in the last column ("path of the Image).

Uncheck that entry, close Autoruns and restart your computer.  You should get is no longer the message.

If for any reason, you find later that you need dlbutime.dll running, run Autoruns and check the box. If you decide that you need never again, run Autoruns, right-click on the entry and select Delete.

As General precautionary measure, in case your entry dlbutime.dll was related to malicious software, rather than the Dell printing software, download the following free scanners:

    MalwareBytes Anti-Malware: http://malwarebytes.org/
    SUPERAntiSpyware Portable: http://superantispyware.com/portablescanner.html

For MalwareBytes Anti-Malware, download, install, update and run.
For Portable SAS, follow the instructions on the Web page (note that the instructions assume that you use a different computer to download; if you're not, just make a note of the name of the file).

I have an Acer computer I want to do a total restore. It came with windows 7 starter edition, and then I bought Microsoft word for it. If Microsoft word will lose if I do the restoration?

If you purchased Word on CD, it's no big deal; just reinstall it after the factory restore. If it was bought online, copy the file downloaded to a CD and then reinstall it later.

Is there a particular reason, why you want to do a restore complete? Have you problems? If so, you can try asking here on how to fix them and do not have to do a restore, reinstall all your programs and all of the updates and service pack 1.

  • Digital camera with Satellite L30 problems

Recently bought a Pentax digital camera.

When I try to view pictures taken with a camera on my L30, a message appears "locate and install driver software.
I click Yes, another message appears - insert disc that came with your Pentax camera, what I'm doing.
Finally another message - cannot install Pentax Optio M40, Windows is not found software driver for your device. I visited the Pentax site and contacted them and they told me that if I (preloaded) OEM of Windows I have to contact my computer manufacturer because the OEM versions are adapted to the computer on which it is installed.

Where is can this question - anyone help?

I'm really confused and I have to say that Johnny is quite right. Part 3 producers of software must adapt own software for the most used operating system. Hardware manufacturer has nothing to do with these programs.

  • Digital Dictaphone with Windows 7 questions. Recorder current is not compatible and do not find online that will be compatible.

I recently bought a computer with Windows 7 64 bit home edition for my father. His job requires him to use a digital voice recorder to dictate things and send by e-mail to his company in the .dss format. He is currently using a recorder Olympus DS 330 on its old Windows XP machine. I called Olympus to ensure (an Olympus DS-330 recorder voice digital) device would be compatible with Windows 7 BEFORE buying the new computer for him. They assured me that "with version 7.1 of their new software it should be compatible. I was worried because the rep on the phone with me does not seem very confident in her answer and him using the word "should" is never a good thing.

Sure enough I got the new Windows 7 computer running, installed the software, they told me to get their site, connected his player... The device has been recognized as connected BUT no driver could be found. Nothing I've tried the last hours won't work because there is simply no driver of Olympus or someone else to make this device work with Windows 7. To make matters worse I can't find a single digital voice recorder to buy for him online that IS compatible with Windows 7 Home Edition 64-bit.

I thought that this OS was not suppose to have questions 'pilot' that brought the Vista. Clearly, this isn't the case. Now I'm stuck with a computer of my father can not use everything just because Windows 7 can't find enough important digital voice recorders work with. Someone has an idea of a recorder of the word that is compatible with windows 7? Yes I have not looked at this site "Compatibility Windows"... no luck. So, if I can't find a... Looks like we're $500 thanks a ton Olympus and Windows 7!

    Thanks for posting that.

The compatible ID confirms that it is not only a storage device, so it uses just the drivers supplied with Windows.  If this isn't a problem with Windows 7.  This is a problem in which the hardware vendor must be resolved.

I searched online for the VID & PID and found only a few strokes on Bing.  None of them make no mention of 64-bit support.  And they are all pretty old.  I see dates pilot since 2001.

So the best option is to contact Olympus again to see if they have drivers for Vista 64 bit or Windows 7 64 - bit for this device, or to confirm to you what devices ARE supported on 64-bit.

Looks like the above driver package for their recorders VN series.  It seems to be relatively cheap - http://www.olympusamerica.com/cpg_section/product.asp?product=1389&fl=5&acccategory=84 (the VN5200 is still cheaper).

  • I use my computer just for pleasure, not business. It came with Windows Vista. How will I know that I have? What is Windows 7, 8,9, thank you

What is the difference between Windows Vista and who is counted as the 7, 8, 9 or 10?

You seem to be confusing to the Windows operating systems (Vista, Win7, Windows XP, etc.) with Windows Internet Explorer.

If you have a Vista computer, you have Windows Internet Explorer 7 [AKA IE7], Windows Internet Explorer 8 [AKA IE8] or Windows Internet Explorer 9 [AKA IE9] installed.

  • Is it possible to install Windows 7 on my PC that came with Windows 10?

Original title: version of Windows 7

Hi, is it possible to install Windows 7 on my PC? I already have Windows 10 but the thing is, I'm updating, I bought my PC pre-installed with Windows 10. Given that I have not upgraded, I can't downgrade. Is it possible to install Windows 7 on my PC without having to buy new? I've already paid for Windows 10 and the reason why I want to go back because 10 Windows is so buggy. I know not to download the ISO of Windows 7 images, but my product key does not work with it. Or y at - it a way to transfer windows 7 from my laptop to my desktop Windows 10? Please help and have a nice day!

    Option 1:

How to: Dual Boot Windows 7 or Windows 8 with Windows installed 10 first

    Option 2:

How Downgrade Windows preinstalled 10 for Windows 7/8.1

In both cases, you will need to provide your own license.

  • How to restart a computer that came with windows already installed.

I have a desktop with windows 8, which was installed by the manufacturer.  It crashed and tried to reload winows 8 of microsoft. Recovery usb I downloaded from microsoft was trying to restart windows 8.   Initial start-up asked me the windows KEY.  The key is loaded into the bios but is not visible.  How can I regain access windows KEY?  Thank you

You're telling me that the manufacturer could not / refuses to send you the installation media to restore their computer to condition "as delivered"?

Who is the manufacturer?  I know that Dell, HP, Lenovo, ASUS, Toshiba, etc all have them set up programs to help users specifically with (this installation/recovery to get to their systems support) as they agreed (in their license agreement with Microsoft) provide a method for the end user to do exactly this.

In many cases the 8/8.1 Windows product key is embedded in the BIOS at the factory for these machines.  You could read here on some methods for such a key - but honestly - you shouldn't have it (must be able to skip that part in installation and always get installed.):

    https://itsolutionsblog.NET/3-ways-to-extract-the-Windows-8-product-key/

Otherwise, unless you provide the computer name of such manufacturer...  Here is the process for gt these media for some manufacturers:

You * REALLY * use support for recovery of the manufacturer when possible.

  • My system came with Windows 8 pre insalled. Where is my product key of Windows 8?

You bought your laptop Windows 8 and have noticed that it is no longer a certificate of authenticiy, located on the laptop with the product key.  Some users prefer to have the product key for their recordings or other future use, they may have for her.

The product key is embedded in the BIOS on the motherboard and is encrypted so that users will not be able to read it.  However, Windows 8 should be enabled, which means that the product key is located in the Windows registry.

There are utilities that can retrieve the product key listed in this thread on the Microsoft forums.  The first two, Belarc and Magical Jelly Bean, work in Windows 8.  As far as I know, the product key that is returned is the correct product key.

Tools and developers are not affiliated with HP and are not supported by HP.

I hope this information is useful for those who want to know the product key.

  • my computer came with Windows XP and when I power on says to reinstall, although I have and Im still having the same problems.

Well, it says to reinstall Windows XP. It was running real slow, sometimes does not connect to the internet. so I reinstalled. He said the same thing and now my anti-virus, and fire fox does not work well. Can you help me?

Your description of your problem it seems rather you are infested with malware and a proxy server has been implemented. It is always sensitive in this situation to achieve a malware check.

Start the computer in safe mode with network and download and install Malwarebytes (free version for individuals only), updated definitions and run in safe mode. Disable other security software while you do the analyses.

    http://www.Malwarebytes.org/

Download and run SuperAntiSpyware (Free Edition)

Some malware is installing the entries of proxy server redirecting internet connections. If you encounter this problem step 2 see in the following link:
