R60 Eve + hibernate problem

Hi all, I have Windows XP Pro installed on my R60 and I can´t do the sleep or Hibernate mode. I have the new installed power management driver and I Don t have the option of standby or Hibernate in the menu stop. Also I have the possibility of FN + F4 paused, and the lid closed sleep option value but it doesn´t work... Can you help me please?

Hello Thinkpatz,

I have this solved my problem of Hibernate. I reinstalled an application that I work with and now standby and hibernation works very well. I thank very you much for your help and advice.

Good day.

    Hello

I have Satellite A210-199 + Win7 rc (build 7100) / before the use of previous generations.
I have a problem: about a minute after awake hibernate, windows is frozen 100% of cases.

    Anyone know?
How can I solve this problem?

    Hi mate

Have you noticed the same question OS using the preinstalled OS (Vista) Toshiba?
You said you use the Win 7 at this time it s only a beta (built RC) and I think that there are still some bugs.

If you didn t notice the same problems with the previous operating system in my opinion the problem it linked definitively to the preinstalled Windows 7.

  • Re: Satellite Pro U300: critical battery Vista hibernate problem

    Hello

I have a Satellite Pro U300 PSU31E and have problems with the critical level of batteries and hibernation since I got it.

    It comes with Vista Business

Critical battery level is set at 2% - is the the strage thing if I hit Hibernate mode (via the power button or start > Hibernate) it have hibernated ok - even at 2% remaining battery. However if I leave it to do this automatically (via the action of critical battery and critical battery level Windows) he died just in hibernation - looks like it ran out of power. The only way I can operate automatically through Windows is by setting the battery level critical to 8% (he dies still in hibernation on what whether it is less than 8%).

Normally you would just say ok the critical low level must be higher but one) why when I Hibernate manually less than 8% is working perefectly and b) put 8% loses me a good a few minutes! and (c) especially the computer or the battery do not think they are flat at 8% - then, the problem is that it allows you to restart. When the computer starts less than 8%, he has already missed his firm critical point 8% so then just down and down with no further action of the battery until it dies. My XP laptop would be closed, then the computer would know the battery is flat and do not allow a restart up to the critical load of 3%.

What is one thing Vista or Toshiba?

Probably not the battery I have 2 with exactly the same problem

I have all the latest drivers for the power and Vista SP1 and latest version of the BIOS

    Thank you

    Hi David

I think it s not a Vista problem or question Satellite U300.

The point is that the OS Vista needs a lot of resources and more energy than the older Microsoft operating systems.

Always is it that same laptop with pre-installed Win XP would be a lot more time using the power of the battery as with Vista OS.
Vista is a monster and he eats all the material resources.

This means that if you use the Vista operating system, you must set the parameters of critical battery at a higher level to make sure that your laptop (Vista OS) would end Hibernate process correctly.

I think that the last 2% of the battery power is simply not enough to put the laptop into hibernation mode.

So don't worry, relax and enjoy your beautiful baby ;)

    Welcome them

  • HP ProBook Hibernate problem (he wakes up suddenly)

    Hi all!

    I have a HP ProBook s 4530 using Windows 7 64 - bit OS, Intel Core i3 - 2310 M (2.10 GHz) processor.
My laptop is around the age of 21 months and I am facing some problems when put my laptop into hibernation. Everything was going well for a long time - that is, when I put it in hibernation mode, turn it off and when I pressed the power on button, he took. However, this is not the case any longer.
Now when I put it in Hibernate mode, it is (in general) will Hibernate and after a few seconds, it turns back on (in itself!). Sometimes, it hibernates for 10 or 20 minutes (or even more) and there again, it turns on itself!

This problem just started occurring, did not install or to update or do anything.

What should I do to fix this?

    Thanks for the help,

  • Windows 7 hibernate problem

    Hi all

My HP Pavilion dv6-2113tx with Windows 7 SP1 installed does not seem to be able to successfully Hibernate more. When I click on Hibernate mode, the screen shuts off and then suddenly flashes and the screen stays off, while the PC stays on. If I then move my mouse powers of the screen, indicating that the laptop is not actually spent in sleep OR hibernate.

Would it be possible due to the partition of Windows 7 is not not active? If this is the case, is there anything else I can use to make my PC into Hibernate?

    Thank you

    Dean.S

    Hi all

As I have suggested, the problem was caused by Windows 7 is not not a partition active. Alas, I set the partition active and then tried hibernation Win7, and oddly enough, it worked. Why Microsoft made Windows like that? -Answer: No reason.

    Thanks for your help,

    Dean.

I tried the next part in the documentation (I know, we do not use 5.x, but just to be sure if it helps):

•It is a problem of conflict of library of hibernation when you deploy LiveCycle Data Services applications to JBoss 5.x servers. You can avoid this problem by creating a file jboss - classloading.xml in your web application's WEB - INF directory. The file should contain the following text. Change references to the web application of screens LCD liquid samples to match the name of your web application.

    <? XML version = "1.0" encoding = "UTF-8"? >
    < classloading xmlns = "urn: jboss:classloading:1.0" name = "LCD - samples.war.
    domain = "LCD-samples_domain" >
    area-parent = "ignored".
    export-all = "NON_EMPTY."
    import-all = "true" >
    < / classloading >

Unfortunately what it did not help. So could you help me please?

    Floh Cu

    Hello

If find you a facility of JBoss 4.2.1 standard, you should not have to add the classloading xml / any configuration change. You must:

1 choose the screens LCD - samples.war of your installation and turn form exploded under the deployment folder.

2 make sure that the HSQLDB is started by running the startdb.bat script in the sampledb folder in the installation of screens LCD 3.1.

Now just restart the server should be all you need to do.

I don't know why all of a sudden a N100, (maybe Windows updates) whenever I put Hibernate my laptop and come out of hibernation it disables my wireless card with somehow. The only solution is a reboot.

I have run the updates using the update of the Lenovo BIOS update system and nothing seems to solve this problem. I use the application windows wireless and have uninstalled the ThinkVantage Access Connections.

I also have an alert of the weird when program ends the attempt to reboot "End program - CssAuthHiddenWindow", I checked online and it said something about being a Lenovo software, could it be related to any of the questions?

    Please please help! Thank you

Unfortunately, the only solution was reload the whole machine! It works now so I guess that we will never know what the problem was.

    I hope this helps.

  • !! Lenovo M490s function keys and hibernate problem!

    Hello world!

I bought the laptop Lenovo M490s week last without BONES. I installed Windows 7 Professional x 64 retail.

First of all, I could not find the software that controls the function keys. After installing each driver and software support page (M490s) my function keys does not except Fn + F1 Fn + F2 sleep has turn off the screen, Fn + F6 disable touchpad and the buttons set. Also no information would display on the screen after pressing the buttons - no level volume and shine.

After some research, I found and installed Hotkey features integration support Lenovo M490 (without S) page. Each function key is started working, information on the screen also start displaying (volume and brightness level).

Now, I spotted a huge problem, after 3 or 4 hibernation volume and brightness keys (fn + up, down, left, right) stopping just at work! Fn + F1 to F12 key combinations work normal. Then after that restart brightness and volume keys work again!

Please help me solve this problem, I can't live without hibernation!

    Thank you!!!

THE PROBLEM IS SOLVED! Problem was in the BIOS!

I loaded the default Installer and everything is great now.

In addition, I have all excluded from the boot order except my SSD.

Computer laptop brand new store had this bug.

  • W540 users Hibernate problem - please reproduce

    Hello

I am running Windows 8.1 with the latest drivers. When I put the system to stand-by and turn on again (or close the lid and open again), the screen remains black, keyboard responds and you hear that WAV sound that a device has been disconnected. The only thing that helps is a cold start.

Can someone please try and let me know if you encounter the same problem?

    Thanks in advance

    Marcus

My problem is now solved, hibernation works, also increase / decrease of backlight via the function keys

I had to install the chipset drivers and manually install drivers Nvidia Lenovo's AGAIN. Someone in another thread said the integrated graphic card and the Nvidia card should be synchnonized (whateve he meant) but that helped me.

Do NOT rely on the update of the Lenovo system!

    AtliJarl wrote:

Yes, I have exactly the same problem. Working on a solution for this. All my drivers + BIOS are up-to-date.

Keep an eye on this thread.

  • Possible standby or Hibernate problem

I don't know what's going on, but if I leave the computer for a few minutes (less), I'll be back on my laptop Pavilion 6000 showing the power & other lights are on but the screen is black. I tried pressing FN + F5, but nothing happens. I pressed the power button & it will sound as it stops & all the lights go out, but a few seconds later it powers back on the same thing happens - nothing! I tried using the F8 key to open the selection of Mode, but nothing changes - no. slider AND remains black. CTRL Alt Del does nothing either.

I have talked to the dealer & he said turning the computer off and remove the battery. Reinstall the battery AFTER 30 minutes and start it again. It worked! However, this same problem has reocurred about 10 times since yesterday & remove the battery & reinstalling does not help always. I'm becoming angry.

I was hoping maybe the computer went automatically to standby mode & all I need is to know how to reactivate the computer to start working again. If this is not the case, there may be another question, I need to address.

I checked SEVERAL articles in the knowledge base of HP, but I have found no solution to every problem. I would like suggestions that anyone can offer.

    Thanks, Sustran

Mariza, you're so nice to follow up with me. I thought I had checked the original carefully URL, but I definitely missed the number RG253UAA. I recorded the new URL, copied the info from the section on my computer, & will contact the reseller with the news. I will also keep watch of the contentious site for continuous instructions & timing. SUPER CONGRATULATIONS to yoou with my sincere thanks. I don't know what will come of this, but it seems that there is a certain satisfaction in the end.

In the meantime, I am pleased to let you know that I finally got power on the computer and bring it into Windows normally. I raised the computer on the desk at an eagle on the back is so about 3 inches for better circulation of air in an attempt to avoid overheating. Because I had heard a slight clicking sound every time the computer starts would displays only the blank screen, I pressed the CD/DVD drive hard inside his car. Then on powering upward, the computer went straight into Windows as usual. The player seems to be sure, but the clicking on sounded like an activation CD. I can't imagine that it worked OR why it worked, but I was on the last 6 hours trying to backup all my files in case I have to reformat. I'll try to start normally tomorrow, but if it doesn't work, I will try to press the CD player again.

You have been more kind, & thank you very much for your time & effort. I will mark this as "resolved" now.

    All the best to you,

    Sustran

  • VISTA HIBERNATE PROBLEM

    PLEASE SOMEONE HELP ME!

HIBERNATION OPTION HAS DISAPPEARED FROM THE MENU START. I READ IN THIS FORUM SOMEONE SUGGESTING:

    ' Start - cmd -powercfg h '

WHEN I DO, I GET THE MESSAGE THAT I DON'T HAVE PERMISSION TO ENABLE OR DISABLE THIS FEATURE.

I AM THE ONLY USER OF THE COMPUTER.

MY OTHER PROBLEM SMALLER, IT IS THAT SOMETIMES, WHEN I PUT IT TO SLEEP HE RETURNED AFTER

20 SEC. I TRY SEVERAL TIME TO CURE INSOMNIA.

    Hi lessdense,

It might be because of the option "wake on lan" in the BIOS. Personally, I have disable this feature because, in my case, the computer still hanging in the life every time the phone rang or a fax came.

Normally I would disable the "wake on lan" of in the PC BIOS, however, it can be disabled via Device Manager. This link will show you how:http://www.howtogeek.com/howto/windows-vista/fix-sleep-mode-randomly-waking-up-issue-in-windows-vista/

  • Windows Hibernate problem

Can someone tell me how to get my computer to hibernation?  It entered into hibernation on its own and I can't supply system to the top.  I tried all the patches that 'help' suggests nothing doesn't.  I am running xp with sp3 on a computer hp laptop pavilion.   It is an old system, I know, but I can't afford to spend much money to get it repaired.  Yesterday, I posted a message about this same problem.  Help, please.

As I said in another post, I took the laptop in the repair center.  It was determined that I had a bad a/c adapter.  The system was running on battery and when it reaches the critical state of the discharge, the system went into hibernation.  Things and new power supply are running and life is now normal again (as far as the phone is concerned).  Thanks for all the help

  • Lenovo WiFi question and Standby / Hibernate problem

I have a Lenovo 3000 v200 laptop under Windows XP SP3 (recently retired).

It is fully updated with all Windows updates and updates from Lenovo and no change in

    material has been done.

I have two annoying problems. I searched the forum good responses

(many other users seem to suffer from similar problems) but no solution has been

    presented.

    1. my wireless connection works 95% of the time without problems.

But occationally the wireless fails to launch when I start the PC.

I have nothing bring WiFi on, only a reboot will solve

the problem. I tried to play around with the options available

via the WiFi software without success. Some networks are visible

even if the hardware and software WiFi switches are 'on '.

Device Manager does not indicate something wrong with the unit.

I saw this message several times: "battery wireless failed to launch.

Someone at - it a solution for this (restart to the exclusion, that is)?

2 standby does not work. When after a wait of some processes

You seem to lock up most of the resources of the system. One of the hearts

works at 100% load and the other is inactive. Research in the Task Manager

I see several processes competing for the top position in the CPU usage.

I get not a clear idea of this process is the problem, but I think it's safety

Associates. There seems to be a driver problem, rather than the result of my software

(Firewall, Antivirus,...). I guess that since the same software works well with

watch over my other laptop (also Win XP SP3). Apart from monopolizing the

System resourses the problem does not prevent me to get online and

in collaboration with most of the applications.

Hibernation does not work. During the recovery, the PC crashes completely

(before that the Office is reached) and it will not meet any entry, a material

    reset is necessary.

Any thoughts on the above problems?

    Everyone has the same problems?

    Suggestions for updating/making drivers back?

    Happy for Fredrik advice

Sorry for bringing This new thread since no one else seems interested.
I however managed to solve these problems on my own, so I want

share workarounds if by chance anyone would win.

First one quote another post by myself:

«Sometimes when I boot the PC will connect to the network and everything works fine.»
At other times, after start-up, the "wireless stack initialization failed, error code: 118 ' problem

and the only way to fix it seems to be a restart of the PC. Anything else I do to display the network.
If I look at the tab network layout in the Task Manager indicates that none of the adapters are available (cable eth.
Access also fails).  This is obviosly a problem with the Access Connections software
Since the wireless network works well when I let windows manage... »

So there is no real solution to the problem WiFi only workaround is to let Windows manage the

WLAN security. I used the laptop for two weeks now and wireless works perfectly under XP

control.  What have I done? I edited my profile of connection in the dial-up connections:

Open connections > location profile tab > select profile > wireless settings tab > option 4.

Wireless security type = use Windows to configure wireless network

I must say that the logins is useless to me now. It does not allow me to view and select

wireless networks, but which can be done both through the windows graphical user interface. However, I can use

graphical versions of Ping, Trace Route and IP Config (in the dial-up connections) if I want to.

The solution to the second problem was easy as soon as I find the culprit.

This problem is also related to WiFi, apperently drivers Intel WLAN/material

    can not handle standby correctly

    http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/951447

What have I done? I stopped windows turning off the wireless network adapter to save power:

Open Device Manager (for example the Panel > system > Hardware tab) > right click of the WLAN card >

Select Properties > power management tab > clear the check box to be able to save.

"Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power".

Sleep now works as expected. I have not tried Hibernation and do not hear.

    Could be useful to someone.

    / Fredrik

  • Thinkpad R60 ram slot problem

    Hello

I have 2 x 1 GB (same type) and 1x512mo (another manufacturer) ram sticks. With all the seperatelly put into the lower slot laptop works very well. If I put in 2x1gb I get 4 beeps and no boot, if I put 1 gb + 512 mb, I get a black screen with no beeps. If I put no stick in the top slot I get 4 beeps. If I don't put no Rams I get 1-3-3-1. I tried to apply pressure on the slot - even 4 beeps with 2x1GB. I use the latest version of the bios with the default settings.

Looks like the top slot is defective. Is it possible to fix it? Thank you.

You may need to get a new motherboard. It is the only way to fix it. Perhaps check on ebay or forum.thinkpads.com.

Also check that there is no dust in the upper ram slot.
