R710 and SATA 3
The standard R710 motherboard and backplane does support SATA 3?
Thank you
The 5520 chipset support for SATA 3Gbps on board, but the H700 RAID controller supports 6 GB/s.

Re: Sat Pro A10 and Sat 10 - the difference - need new keyboard
Hey all!
New ID as I am garbage to remember the passwords/log on emails...
I have a Satellite Pro A10, which needs a new keyboard - there's loads are circulating on ebay for Satellite A10 - but not the Pro - now I'm almost 100%, it'll be the same keyboard - right? the 'Pro' ILO denounces just usually extras bits and things qhizzy-, but basically they are the same hardware platform slot - i.e. the same keyboard between the A10 Sat and Sat Pro A10
Anyone?
: D thank you in advance for letting me sleep at night!
I agree with you. There is not much difference, and the construction of the laptop is the same.
I'm 100% sure that the keyboard is the same. -

2. ensure that HBA card installed on the Dell server is configured for SAN bootable at the BIOS level
3. go in the name of the document below URL to get the Setup instructions for ESXi 5.1: vSphere Guide Installation and http://www.vmware.com/support/pubs/vsphere-esxi-vcenter-server-pubs.html

Disks hard SAS and SATA in mixture with controller H730 R730
I try to set up a new server for our SMEs and wanted to know if I could use say hard 2 SAS drives in raid 1 configuration for hyper-v (r2 2012) host then use 6-2 TB of SATA drives in pass-through mode for use with storage for 2 VMs.
Bobc007,
The rule with the help of SAS and SATA drives is that you CAN mix the two in the same controller. You not CAN NOT mix SAS and SATA in the same virtual disks well. The configuration you are looking for is a supported configuration.
Let me know if this helps answer your questions.

I try to add an SSD for my computer. Does anyone know the correct references to allow the DSS must be installed in drive caddies in the chassis?
Also, I will need another cable to SATA power by the look of it. I need an explanation of the various SATA ports on the motherboard to know that one to connect the new drive in.
Thank you

Zbook 17 G3: M2 and Sata don't play well together
Hello
Have a Zbook 17 G3 with a drive as boot drive m2. After adding a second SATA drive may not start automatically. It will start only if I select the disk in the F9 boot menu.
It is the first in the boot order and no secure startup is enabled.
Any ideas?

I solved it by deselecting QuickStart.

Satellite Pro L670 - 14 M and SATA 6 GB/S Support
Hello
I recently bought an SSD (Crucial M4) for my Toshiba Satellite Pro L670 - 14M. He behaves well and certainly improves performance. However, when I test my SSD benchmarks, it reaches only about 230 - 260 MB/s reading speeds on sequential when it needs to get up to 500 MB/s as advertised.
I'm assuming it's because my SSD is running via SATA 3 gb/s, so I ask, my laptop does support SATA 6 Gbps? If not, this isn't a big disappointment, although it would be great to have up to 500 MB/s sequential read speeds for this performance gain.
Someone can confirm on the question of whether my laptop (Satellite Pro L670 - 14M) supports SATA 6 Gbit/s or not?
Hello
The laptop is equipped with a Mobile Intel HM55 Express Chipset and the Intel Core i3 - 330 M processor.
That's why the SATA II controller agreed that 3 Gbps

Hello
Maybe this topic can help you http://forums.computers.toshiba-europe.com/forums/thread.jspa?threadID=26040
Download the drivers, you can find on Toshiba page under http://eu.computers.toshiba-europe.com > support & downloads. Choose the right model A200. In your case, it must be PSAE6. Am I wrong?
Good bye

Acer Predator G9-592-78 D 8 missing plastic protection hdd and sata connector
Hi all. I recently bought an acer 15 predator model of the subject.it was not cheap. It came only with a 256 GB ssd. When I tried to add also a disk hard wd sata 3 I had a very unpleasant suprize. the blue protection plastic for the hard drive was missing inside and also, there was no visible sata connector attached to the motherboard. am I supposed to buy them separately? What is an act of the local dealer? When you check with them on the problem, they were not helpful at all. they just said I was 4 days after the 30-day free return date and it won't make anything on it.
I feel that I bought a decent car and I don't have access to the trunk... tia for any advice
PS I am already registered with acer laptop.

Installation problem
Hello
Not much to go here, but I'll try my best.
First of all, I hope that your PC has a floppy drive. If it isn't, this isn't the end of the world, but it will make things much more complicated.
Second, you must make sure that your motherboard BIOS is set according to your desired disk configuration. AHCI or RAID is the best but RAID is only if you want to set up a RAID. If you select IDE maybe you don't need the Setup F6 disk and the driver installation mentioned below.
You have perhaps been provided with F6 floppy by your motherboard manufacturer but, if not, download the XP driver for your SATA controller from the manufacturer's web site and create your own F6 driver diskette.
You must start your PC from the windows CD. Very shortly after the installation starting to show prompted to press F6 to another pilot. You have to hit F6 when you see this prompt. A few minutes later you will be asked to insert the Setup disk and identify your SATA controller. You should be able to continue with the installation later.
It is a simplified version of what needs to be done and only goes up to get the installation to begin.
If you want more specific help you should repost with exactly what installation problem that you are experiencing.

Pavilion x 360: M.2 and Sata on Pavilion x 360 and ram
Hello!
I have a choice between two models of the x 360 13 "flag:
13 - a202nj
13 - a201nj
13-a202nj have an "ssd m2' and 13-a201nj have an SSHD sata.
I wanted to know if these two models have the same motherboard with a slot m2 and a Sata slot or if they are two different boards one only with slot m2 and the other with only the sata slot?
I also wanted to know if the RAM is expandable to 6 to 8 GB?
Thank you!!

Missing NTLDR reported in Windows XP SP3 and SATA disks only
Two days ago my PC refuses to start and I got the error NTLDR not found. Press CTRL ALT DEL to restart. My computer got only SATA hard drives and these are not detected by my Windows XP CDROM for a reboot to CD. The system reports no disk found.
I am able to get my PC running using the HIRENS boot disk. This isn't a permanent solution and I need help to get back on track again.
Can I just start my PC using HIREN and then insert the Windows CDROM and use the following commands at the CMD window BACK line?
COPY C: X:i386NTLDR
COPY C: X:i386NTDETECT.comWhere X is the letter of the CD ROM drive
Then restart my PC and this work? I don't want to ruin my system so I need some advice please.

Hi again,
Your laptop supports SATA III Solid State Drives. I suggest Samsung Pro or Evo products. Here's the top of the line and even for a decent price.
