Radiator and fan on Thinkpad T60 T61

Hello

Its time to change the fan on my Thinkpad T60. I thought to replace the entire cooling system (fan and heat sink). Is it possible, in terms of compatibility, use a T61 radiator and fan? I mean having a FRU:41V9932 and FRU:42W2820. I've heard that T61 cooling system, is better than the T60, his cooler etc and more completely.

What is did anyone of you experience this nature? Are they compatible physics?

Thank you

My model:

ThinkPad T60, 14.1 "

BIOS: 79ETE7WW (2.27)
Product ID: 2623-D6U
CPU T2400 Intel Due Core (Yonah), 31W
GPU: ATI X 1300

Thanks for the info.

I consider getting a larger fan and heatsink because of the magnitude of

  • How can I clean the radiator and the fan on my Equium L20?

3 years I've had it now, and I think he needs a cleaning.
The tutorials to open it, or how to access the fan and the heat sink?

    Hello!

It of not necessary to disassemble the laptop. This should be done by a technician for laptop.

To clean the radiator and fan, you can use compressed air jet or something else and could blow the dust from the fan.

You will get no tutorials or manual how to take apart Toshiba notebooks only FSA (authorized service provider) have some guides.

  • ThinkPad T60 Bios problem

At startup, my Thinkpad T60 shows fan failure message, but the fan seems to work very well.  Before replacing any hardware, I thought it might be useful to update the bios to see if that solves the problem.  Unfortunately, I'm unable to access the bios.  When I press the F1 key, the computer beeps constantly and I cannot get into the BIOS configuration utility.  When I stop to hit F1, fan failure message once again appears on the screen and the computer fails to boot the operating system.  Any suggestions to fix this are greatly appreciated.   Thank you very much!

  • T60 / T61 / hard T61W compatible cross-training?

    Hi guys:

I have a question about hard T60 and T61 discs.

I work for a company where we are gradually T60 laptop computers for the new T410.

Are we able to use T60 stock hard drives in laptops T61 and T61 (widescreen) if we were to rebuild their image for Windows 7?

In my view, that we use the 80.0 GB HDD T60 version.

I also wanted to know if it is backward compatible (if we need older drivers during the upgrade of the OS)-that is, a disk hard T61 or T61W, working in a T60.

I believe that all hard disks that came with laptop computers, when we bought were the stock 80.0 GB... but would be still the 60.0 GB 5400 RPM (or 7200, I completely forgot that we use) in a book in a T61 so T60 we were to reformat and install Windows 7 top?

    Any help is appreciated.

    Thank you!

I have just been informed that the tension (or was it amps, I forgot) is different for a T60 and a T61 stock hard drive.

If this is true (which seems very likely to be), how will this affect performance / use?

Is there a way to increase the voltage on a hard drive because of the different models?

How will this affect usability be?

They use the same type of hard drive, the drive SATA itself may be exchanged between T60 T61, T400/T500, T410/T510.

T60/p and T61/p 15.4 "wide make use the same HARD drive cover.

"" T60/p 14.1 "15.0" standard and 15.4 "all take several covers of the other HARD drive.

New Intel processors are not sold with heat sinks and fans.

You can check online with any of the heatsink, fan manufacturers, and they can help you select a suitable cooler (heat sink, fan).

  • ThinkPad T60 8744 will not stay in mode 'sleep'.

I apologize if this question has already been addressed elsewhere in this forum; I looked at some length and any mention of it is found.

I had a problem recently with my ThinkPad T60 8744-5BU running Windows Vista Business SP1.  Whenever I put my laptop sleep (whether by closing the lid or using the combo Fn + F4), it will remain so for anywhere from 30 minutes.  At one point during the transport, the laptop comes out fashion 'sleep'.  It is very good and everything except that it is usually in one of these sleeves neoprene inside my bag Targus, which means that at the time when I get where I'm going, I could use it to make pancakes.

Because it always seems to happen while I'm away, I figured that maybe it was a problem with an Active Protection, but neutralizing him did not resolve the issue.

Has anyone run into this problem or heard of something similar?  Any input would be greatly appreciated.

    Thank you!

    Ben

    Well, welcome to the forum,

There are several discussions on the subject or similar. I searched using wake-up and sleep and I hope that this thread will have some useful information for you.

  • N764D radiator and radiator P041K

Hello can anyone tell I can fit all these two heatsinks that no N764D or P041K can fit into a card mother dell xps 420 and 430?

N764D is for XPS 630 not XPS420 or XPS 430.

Reference Dell P041K CPU, heatsink and fan is for the Dell Studio XPS 435MT

Heat sink and fan come only a single combination, they are not interchangeable mix and match and they are not standard. So the basic answer is no.

  • Problems of excessive noise and fan performance.

(I found a few similar posts, none seem to have any kind of resolution. I already submitted details to the comments for OS - X and MacBook Pro, because I know that Apple doesn't really care these forums.)

I'm computer LITERATE in a company with more than 40 Macs. Most are 15 "and 13" MacBook Pro retinas, with some older MacBook Pro, MacBook Air and Mac mini. Almost all have had many problems of performance and especially complaints relating to noise fan since the upgrade to El Capitan.

All Macs seem to rotate at about twice their original fan speed, even at idle with nothing else running in the foreground. If something - it is actually worse with time and not better. Some of them seem to be entering a mode "overheating" and the limitation of the CPU frequently, even with no real warning to the user. We receive complaints from fans go "full throttle" and not something unusual applications of grinding to a halt, while the activity monitor recount. Even these days - I'm writing this, my MacBook Pro runs only Safari and mail and fans just 15 "kicking until probably at 80% for no apparent reason. The CPU load is only about 8% currently according to activity monitor.

The usual "fix" to a SMC reset and a clean install of the operating system seems to have no effect. We spent a lot of time in recent weeks reset wiping of Macs to try to resolve these problems. They are located on machines that have been almost completely unless they were actually under heavy load (such as virtual computers running or doing graphics/video editing), with the only change being an 'upgrade' to El Capitan.

New - the same questions and complaints are reported in almost all of our Macs. I noticed similar problems on my MBP of House. I have a Mac Mini in my office who spends just Safari to view a network monitor page. It used to be silent and cycles now the fan and turns off often.

At least while taking into account what is actually run on them, as well as information from the activity monitor, it does not appear that the CPU is overheating. It seems that something has gone wrong with the heat in recent management, as El Capitan assign a lower threshold than before well. I am everything to keep these systems cool, especially since Mbit/s in particular seem to run pretty hot anyway, but when the noise of the fans like a small jet taking off-it is a problem for many people.

If anyone has found a solution to this, I'd love to hear it. Otherwise - if you are having similar problems - please send to Apple Feedback then perhaps they will at least look at or respond.

If you run any antivirus Mac remove the system. A 3rd party cleaning or maintenance or utility network, any 3rd party firewall they are infamous resource pigs and Mac AV is responsible for a good part of mac OS that any other type of software while offering no protection against anything like that.

systems running 10.11 with 4 GB of RAM or less will spend a good amount of time cached and if this is the case look into upgrading your RAM, if it's an option.

If this isn't the case reset the SMC (which you did) followed by a PRAM reset as outline in this paper.

  • Satellite M70: access to the data of temperature and fan

While we did not have these problems with other laptops, we found a way to access the data of temperature and fan on a Satellite M70.

A friend has tried this on Linux but have failed and also with XP I do not find a way to read data (current temperature of the CPU, or State of the fan-cooler).

Given that I noticed several irregularities when using (the fan is that the CPU load is very minimal), work sometimes is going to be a little uncomfortable.
